The relation of my roll and the color ranks on my list could totally be coincidence. But still my guess is we have a lot of poll manips so it might be smart to avoid ties and too much vote spreading if possible when voting.

what are some poll manips that you've seen before, so that it might help me understand why the poll selections were made
e.g. +1 vote, -1 vote...would voting for one person get redirected onto someone else?, oh I think I've seen immunity before even if they win the poll the next highest gets chopped

I'm heavily inclined to think this power was used by a town, although ripping it voluntarily on N1 seems a bit risky, as Michelle said re: her own experience.

However your numbers theory doesn't click for me. Feels like when I have the right pieces for a puzzle hunt but I'm solving it completely wrong.

It isn’t my theory, it it an attempt to explain how “pick a number” correlated to the colors of my list theory Sprit had. He seemed to be implying that I was intentionally influencing the poll, and I’m not.

It’s possible there is some correlation, I guess, but I don’t understand how it would work if there was.

I don’t understand them either. I would not have thought I had anything to do with it had it not been for Sprits color post. It’s not a theory, it’s an attempt to apply the knowledge I had (a tiny amount) to a speculation someone else had.

Roxy D1 is lighter than I normally expect, but a lot of feel based responses to the thread. Normally fine and a splash of No U between Rox and Porscha.

Roxy D2 some speculation on the polls and more on Porscha. Roxy/Porscha is a thing, but I don't know how it pans out. Roxy's thoughts on the poll are interesting, but I tread into WIFOM there.

I'd like more from Roxy, but nothing's inherently wolfy nor is it certifiably towny Roxy. I'm used to Roxy's big breakdown thoughts, but maybe we aren't there yet?

This is where I'm at, not being totally caught up to anything she might have said yesterday. As of yesterday afternoon, maybe 12 hours ago, Roxy was the person on that poll I'm least likely to vote for (other than me). So gonna read her now. I feel more strongly "not wolf" than not town here.

Hmm, interesting. If SVS’s dice determined a target then 8 would correspond to Abi who was not my target. But it could be targeting everyone or something like that.

Eighth on the player list makes sense, but I don't have an active power that would target anyone. So either it's targeting for someone elses' power, which makes about as much sense as my reads list setting the poll? Maybe it redirects? I saw someone said Abbi hadn't posted. Like maybe someone tried to silence me, but it redirected to Abbi? I know someone was poking her about posting too much.
In any case, it's hard to say, and speculating is fun but I need to read and vote.

At day start, after I did my little read of the people on the polls, I have my poe between pyxxy and Roxy. People have my supporting Roxy today as looking more town, and I suppose I see the genuineness of their posts. In my mind, I’m thinking that dropping my vote on pyxxy feels lazy and voting for Roxy is OMGUS. I’m not voting SVS because town and for whatever reason I remember not hating thunal (which makes the two votes on them odd to me)

Roxy's inclusion and subsequent activity in the thread reads as someone surprised that she has to fight to live today. meaning overnight, if Roxy is scum, mafia felt pretty comfortable in how they were controlling the thread, and had today really shake things up

however I have a smaller % of curiosity about mech, and how you talked about it. I want more votes on the board first before we get lost in a mech rabbit hole.

One last thing I noticed; the people voting Rox don't have as much experience playing with her afaik, as compared to the people not voting for her. But like Wilgy said, I'm hoping for one of her read lists.

Also, since I didn't mention Thunal as regards voting; still a null for me. I haven't seen much of what i think of as Towny Thunal yet, and by Day 2 she generally would have shown up. BUT BUT BUT when town Thunal is a wolf, if anything, she shows up faster, imo. And I haven't seen anything alarming. So BOTD for now re Thunal.

Pyxxy feels pretty solvey with the mech, and I get a strange feeling they’re in the dark in a lot of things. Perhaps it’s a bit naive to think but someone pulling mech out and responding in the moment to potential mech puzzling sounds towny.

Granted, I admit that Thunal is also doing her part to solve on the fly. So meh.

If I had to rank the 4 atm on most likely town > most likely mafia it would be:

SVS > Roxy > pyxxy > Thunal

I do feel like if Thunal is bad, we hooked a big shark. And I’m no trained cage diver, but sharks are super easy to run away from on land

How many other people have had "safe" reads this game? And how easy would it be for me to make a spicy push I don't actually believe in as a wolf?

I think the consensus townreads like Scotty and SVS are town. I think we correctly got the 3p by PoE. Currently, I don't think it's a hard game and I'm not alone in thinking that. I don't think it makes sense for you to wolfread me.

I mean sure, I wouldn't always expect that to turn into a vote. It seemed more like he had some actual reasoning to vote roxy specifically, jury's still out on the motivation behind that reasoning, but I think your interpretation here is just off course

SVS D1, there's alot to like. The early approach to both Scotty and LC has semblance which I think I like. Not sure why, but I do. Feel like mirrored reads being projected early into/onto teammates isn't something done and if it's an SVS W, Scotty T, LC T there's alot of town cred being given away.

SVS's (and I'm assuming the thread's) votes for Sig is within scope. There was some discussion on Sig's wolf game that was contrary to the vote, BUT there was enough before hand for this to feel like a thought out process rather than a slide back. (side note on Sig's commentary on me after I called them SK: lmao).

SVS joining on the Lime Coke wagon is also fine.

SVS D2 Alot of mech discussion. I'd need to review sprit to see if I agree with it being busy work, but seems like an alright take based on what I've seen. The commentary on Pyx re Roxy I agree with.

SVS I have decent reasons to say is town. If this is W SVS I don't know if I expect the point I made re D1 and mirrored reads between Scotty/LC unless they are a team and again it was toooooooo early for that to be the case out of SVS.

Pyxxy feels pretty solvey with the mech, and I get a strange feeling they’re in the dark in a lot of things. Perhaps it’s a bit naive to think but someone pulling mech out and responding in the moment to potential mech puzzling sounds towny.

Granted, I admit that Thunal is also doing her part to solve on the fly. So meh.

If I had to rank the 4 atm on most likely town > most likely mafia it would be:

SVS > Roxy > pyxxy > Thunal

I do feel like if Thunal is bad, we hooked a big shark. And I’m no trained cage diver, but sharks are super easy to run away from on land

What's towny/townier about Pyxxy and what's wolfy/scummier about Thunal?

I again preface that this is my vibe-phase until someone flips something not Indy.

There’s just something about pyxxy that makes me feel like they’re in some sort of time sink. I mean, maybe I’m just putting words in their mouth, but pyxxy seems like they’re contributing on a level that seems excited and contributory in the brief time they have. There’s a couple reads in there I don’t agree with after looking at their iso (ie nutella looks towny in her entrance, Roxy is bad, etc) but it doesn’t feel agenda-y.

Thunal carries a bigger load only because there is more to go off of, and I’ve said my peace on her contributions. Either she’s super towny, or is going to flit on by, since it feels like it’s going to take some mech cornering or a major slip up to ‘catch her’. The reads she has and how she gets there is blendy. And it *mirrors* a lot of what my reads have been. I never feel great about my reads D1, so that’s already a red flag lol
Couple that with the resorting to making a POE of low hanging fruits, and by her own admission, she is playing a more reserved game than her last town game I just witnessed, and it feels like a mafia living among us.

Of course I don’t feel confident, but between the two of them, I think taking her down brings down the mafia kingdom if we’re right

I mean I agree. I don’t particularly like silencing in games, especially in recent games where contributions seem to come at a premium, I think it only holds back from the spirit of the game. But it’s an old school thing that sticks around.

I call those two out and not, say, DarlingMonroe, because of their posting pattern on D1 is unlike them at this stage in the game,

Maybe someone was silenced and there’s another role that copies an ability from another player, and they chose…poorly?

Maybe. I really doubt the votes on me are pure at this point and I'm not seeing towny Nutella yet. She could be struggling to get into the game like I am but there isn't that attachment to her reads I'm used to seeing from her. I also don't really think she votes me out here.

Actually this was more of a wayward thought of "OMGUS is probably right here" because I think wolves want to get me out. If there is a wolf in those three it's probably exactly Nutella with an outside chance of TSP.

I didn't think you voted me here because I've really been open in explaining my process, and I think me being voted out is the worst outcome for town today. How many other people have had "safe" reads this game? And how easy would it be for me to make a spicy push I don't actually believe in as a wolf?

I think the consensus townreads like Scotty and SVS are town. I think we correctly got the 3p by PoE. Currently, I don't think it's a hard game and I'm not alone in thinking that. I don't think it makes sense for you to wolfread me.

Presumably somebody picked these 4 names. Maybe they couldn’t handpick them. Maybe it was you. Maybe it wasn’t you.

There’s a big ol ??? hovering over why *these* names in particular. SVS wasn’t getting voted. Thunal was pretttty townread yesterday. Pyxxy had no votes against them D1.
Roxy was the only counterwagon on this list on D1, so that makes sense if you want to see her go.

The whole thing just feels rather random. If this is a town role that picks names for the poll, they have to contend with the potential for one of their names not living through the night. So maybe they avoid the towniest names, hence SVS being there and not other consensus town names. But why not put names like Wilgy or DM?

All this to say is I think some of us are operating under the assumption that you were softing being responsible for this, but it makes no sense.
It also makes no sense with your quote ‘I think me being voted out is the worst outcome for town today’. If this was your doing, I think this would be VERY helpful for town to come to see why there are only 4 names for the poll. But since you said this, I believe you to have nothing to do with it, and instead now you’re hinting at your role being super duper powerful.
