I do find it a little odd that scotty would scumread me for taking safe townleans on page1-2 of a game - he'd be scumreading me every game if that was the case - and egregious in the sense that its talking about my action (having townleans) as opposed to the meaning/motivation/POV behind them (why I'm townleaning the people I'm townleaning, etc). however, since he asked first, and then came out of it with a townlean anyway, it feels more like he was indeed investigating into it with a curious mindset.

I think long con's push also comes from a suspicious/townie mindset so I like both slots

In a vacuum, with a player I have no connection to, putting out light townleans and no suspicions is inherently sus to me as a baseline. It reads as safe and blendy because it’s the easy thing to do- I’ve seen it plenty on times.

If I came into a game and asked ‘what color socks do you like to eat?’ Then yeah, I’d be like, what the hell are you smoking? But getting a better context for how people solve is really helpful, so at least I can eliminate that from suspicion.

But I believe what I saw in those Roxy reads, so it does feel good that someone else did too. There's just a lot of figuring him out as the game goes on if he can start making some scumreads on his own. Absolutely can fluctuate between scumlean and townlean)

Jack (this one is also in flux. Of my voters, if there is a wolf, it would be him, but I just don't hate his presence, and keeping him townlean)

Wilgy (I'm slightly concerned about him accepting my 'pocket'. Lack of free time is a thing and I guess it's a fine buffer for now, but he's at the bottom of my townleans)

Kay Jewelers (I'm weirded out by the progression of 'Scotty's question to gims is great' to 'oh no, actually I complete retract that, I'm paranoid.' That jump felt way too sudden. Especially the timing. They responded to Long Con's first line of 'why ask this' with a defense that, in hindsight, felt pockety. (which is funny because I've already had the accusation that I am pocketing the newbies). Now, when Long Con seemed committed, it felt like Kay jumped ship on trying to defend me, and went into trying to appease Long Con. I dunno, it just feels like they are reactively trying to appease the player that has the most confidence. I'm also not looking to vote here today per my newbie d1 code. However, I should note that if I felt like both the newcomers were exactly the scum that clogs my kitchen sink, I would vote there. Day 2, maybe)

You’d be in the middle of my readslist if I were to make one but I have so many null opinions on slots that a list wouldn’t make a lot of sense. You’re above my null reads if that helps understand my current pov.

My day 1 I usually only vote one person once I feel strongly enough about it unless something drastic happens or if I really really want to pursue a reaction test (my current vote is not a reaction test) but I wouldn’t say I only have one townlean. I’m not accustomed to a day 0 in mafia so I didn’t find a lot of meat in the day 0 postings to townread others. I have more comprehensive reads now after this day phase but still a lot of nulls which I don’t love.

Correct. I don’t feel strongly enough about the lean to move it up any but that’s purely because of paranoia at this point. I’ll say I WANT to townread you for a few reasons and there are posts of yours I’ve liked but I have things in the back of my head holding me back. However, I don’t know how logical I’m being because the lack of familiarity with not only you but those that are pushing against you is making it a bit hard for me to parse.

Scotty I think you are interpreting my “turnaround” on you the wrong way. Something was brought up that I literally hadn’t thought about and it made me feel kind of stupid for latching immediately onto something that felt good/townie (most likely because of a personal bias as it was the only person, gims, I could give any relevant input on) but in the end I had to be honest and say that I had to take back that initial read. It doesn’t automatically mean I think you’re scum, it just means I had to reassess. I was owning up to my read being too hasty but if I thought you were scum, I’d have voted you. I’ve only voted one person at this point.
