I have answered that question. I wanted to be dramatic. When you just say something, it gets ignored. When you vote, it gets noticed. I was and am very confident that Snowman is bad, so I saw no reason to wait and every reason to get discussion going.

I'm starting to wonder if Llama is holding so tenaciously to his Snowman theory in an effort to save himself - I see that they are neck and neck. I don't see a good case against Snowman. I do see that Llama voted early and I'm wondering if he just jumped the gun before thinking the vote through. He says that he wanted to vote early to get the conversation going - but that isn't really very detective like and not something that a seasoned player would do if he were hunting baddies (rather than just hunting). I like Boo's idea of voting for low posters but I see a situation where my vote would be "wasted" if I voted for anyone other than Snowman or Llama. Between the two - I'm gonna have to vote Llama. And I am confused as well about Yotsuba. Do they need to be deaded for the detectives to win? And Kira wins when the detectives are gone (so says page 1) but what about Yotsuba for them. MP can you clear this up?

Also, I think that the time of the NK being controlled by the killer is a pretty cool aspect to the game. At least I am guessing that's why LC was killed now instead of during the night. In fact....if I were the decider, I think I would have them die in the middle of the day phase and MP would be posting about a NK at say 2:30pm and everyone would be like, "WHAAA?"

Kyosuke Higuchi (Third Kira) – A very greedy and power-hungry man who becomes the owner of a Death Note if a certain chain of events occurs. However, little does he know he is no more than a tool in an elaborate scheme orchestrated by the original Kira. Each night, while in possession of a Death Note, he votes on a victim for Kira to kill, concealing the fact that he is actually the one deciding others’ fates. Higuchi cannot be lynched or night killed until he receives a Death Note; thereafter, even if the Note is taken from him, he can die. When he possesses a Death Note, all members of Yotsuba vote on a player to die every night, but Higuchi has a choice to override the player to be killed. However, if he does so, he risks the chance of outing himself to his fellow members. Each member currently alive has a 25% chance of learning Higuchi’s real identity every time a kill is overriden, with a 75% chance of instead receiving a randomly redirected result. When he gains his Death Note, he is offered the Shinigami Eye Deal. If Higuchi takes the Eye Deal, he can role check two players every night but he must kill one of those two players; this only applies if he overrides the kill selection. If Higuchi currently cannot kill with a Death Note or does not override the kill target, he cannot role check anyone. If Mikami takes the Eye Deal, he can role check two players every night but he must kill one of those two players. If Mikami currently cannot kill with a Death Note, he cannot role check anyone. Because the Eye Deal cuts his lifespan, all votes against Mikami in lynches will be doubled for the remainder of the game. If Mikami refuses the Eye Deal, he still may change his mind and accept it later at any time. At some point, he gains BTSC with Kiyomi Takada. At this time, per Light's orders, he creates a fake Death Note. If Mikami is ever found by Near, Near finds the fake Death Note, delaying Near's capture of Mikami for an additional two cycles.

So first of all - BWT - I'm in agreement with boo - it's about third best outcome. He was definately not a detective though so I'm counting it as a win.

LC - wow. I totally didn't see that coming. Someone wanted him gone right quick. Not sure who though. I could meta guess at a few names, but I have nothing solid and thread based to go on ATM. If we're lucky he was youshowoamkia or a non bts kira sympathizer. I didn't have the best feels about him. But I never do.

I get not talking at night, so if these don't get answered till the night poll, I'm cool with that, just getting a few questions into the thread so that I hopefully don't forget I have them.

@ zombra - I saw that you didn't agree with a Snowman lynch because the reasoning was weak, yet you seemed to agree with llama's post giving him credit for being not a noob and not being able to use being a noob after this game. This reads rather contardictory to me. On one hand you don't agree with the reason his main suspector feels he's bad, on the other hand you agree with his main suspector. Are you saying you think Snowman is bad, but not for those reasons? If so what reasons do you have for thinking he's bad? As your posts read to me going through them, they felt like you were dancing around the subject not wanting to take a stance one way or the other about Snowman. Since you know him more intimately than anyone, I'm curious as to what your read of him is. Do you think he is civ or not? When you've caught up on the stuff you skipped during this lynch due to time, I'd like to hear your thoughts on others as well.

I like the pulled up side by side post you made in that it put the four roles all together in one spot and was helpful for reading. Here's the problem I have with it though, You list common characteristics that those roles have - and while the *roles* have them, the players aren't going to exhibit those roles necessarily in the thread. Just picking an arbirtrary name here - SockAlex could be Kira X. The ROLE of Kira X could be greedy and power hungry as all get out. And when he sends in his kills at night, he can be as greedy as possible. IN THE THREAD however, SockAlex is going to do everything he can to not appear to behave like his role. He's going to be reasonable and thoughtful. He's going to try to blend in and be as "typical SockAlex" as he can. If that means he's normally agressive, he's going to be agressive, if he's normally a low poster, he's going to post low. etc etc etc. Does that make sense and/or helpful? Am I being pedantic? Cuz I kinda feel like I am, but I'm into beer 3 so I'm not sure. I don't mean to sound like I'm talking down to you or telling you something you already know. If I am reading that way, I do not intend to and I'm sorry.

Our seven year old is a very good reader and loves to learn the meanings of new words. He is in 3rd grade and in his last year of Phonics. He is learning the origin of words as well as the meanings of various prefixes and suffixes. He is enjoying this very much as he learns several new words and their definitions each day. He couldn't care less for George Carlin's dirty seven.

Our five year old is in kindergarten and is still learning to read. She is doing well and has excelled a good bit just in the past two weeks especially with getting quicker at recognizing 'long vowel/silent e' and 'double vowel:first's long/second's silent'. She would most definitely be interested in George Carlin's dirty seven. She loves to push limits and dabble in anything that she knows is for a person older than herself. She will take any opportunity she can get to say words that may be inappropriate. Not that it happens often, but if she were to hear a sibling say a "bad word" she would not tattle and say, "so-and-so said a bad word" she would say "so-and-so said such-and-such" just because she can. As she enjoys being a child (who wouldn't) she wants to be grown up already. She's planned everything about her wedding from flowers and venue to dress, food, and music.

Our two and a half year old is just that, two and a half. He doesn't watch Death Note with us. He'd rather be off playing toys or on his tablet. He did however say freakin' the other day. Something like..."I need a freakin' tissue." Of course he got that from me :/

We homeschool and we filter who our kids hang out with. We do not shelter our kids from most things, but whatever they are exposed to happens right before our eyes. We try to be honest with them and educate them about life. They know a stork does not drop you off on your parents door step. They know where their Christmas presents really come from. We say penis and vagina, not wee-wee or pee-pee. However, despite all my efforts to tell Simon that the toothfairy is just a made-up story, he still thinks she is real. Seeing is believe as they say. He puts his tooth under his pillow and in the morning there is a toy/money there instead. So no matter what I say...he writes it off.

I am not sure what to think of Epi. He is acting a bit crazier than usual, but I am inclined to think that it is because he is very excited to be in a Mafia game. He's been hosting and modding a lot lately. I think its been at least a few months since he has played. I know he was very excited to begin this game and be playing again. I would say he is probably civ and just excited. That seems to be what his behavior is showing IMO.

bea, I said in the last non-Monopoly game I played that I would no longer be relying on real life metagaming to judge my wife, and likewise not provide such insight into the thread. That has run its course, and furthermore, Elohcin's game has evolved to the point where such insight is no longer reliable.

From an in-game perspective, however, she will not be getting my vote any time soon. Is she a detective? Who knows. But I don't think she has a death note yet.

I am of the mindset that boo is no good. I do not have time this morning to go into details. I will do that when I return home. All I want to say is this: Don't rationalize lynching a vanilla Yotsuba as the "third best outcome." That's just a nicer way of saying "Second worst."
