Re: WORLD TOUR MAFIA II: JAPAN [DAY TWO]
I think there's some kind of bias at play where people that were on leetic and then got the hit on nicole suddenly feel like that makes leetic less interesting as mafia.

Re: WORLD TOUR MAFIA II: JAPAN [DAY TWO]
The very words Tranq spoke which incensed you because they were skeptical of you were a townie thing to be looking into. It feels like the sort of thing Tranq does to sort- he did the same thing as town in the previous game when he called out Kawaii based on comparing what had Kawaii said to open the game to Kawaii's prior mafia experience. Others have already pointed out that Tranq/Nicole interactions don't feel partnered. Tranq took the correct side in the day end vote and helped flip the wolf instead of town.
There's no particular reason to think Tranq showed up at day end and saw Nicole getting wagoned, just said "shougunai" and bussed, he was playing townie all along.

Re: WORLD TOUR MAFIA II: JAPAN [DAY TWO]
Wakarimasu. I'm still considering whether Nicole intentionaly sham-voted leetic in thread but not in poll in order to look distancey but not actually contribute to the threat of leetic getting flipped.
However we should think about if leetic is mafia, that was actually a prior wagon that more people including mafia teammates could react to. That wagon fell apart but why? Michelle started the wagon on me so it wasn't scum starting it, Nicole probably felt unable to join there because she was expressing the strong townread on me. Long Con then joined for a bizarre reason then hasn't been heard from since so that could be mafia. Epi also voted me because... Uh... IDK self-preservation apparently? *raises eyebrow*

I usually wouldn't give much cred to Wilgy's vote for nicole, but I'm still trying to figure out how to interpret the later votes in the context of her ability - would teammates be more inclined to get the bussing cred, or to try to save her for a time where they'd be more likely to get the benefit of her ability. Hard to say without knowing bussing metas. I personally would gave gone for the latter so for the moment some points to idk...everyone who ended up there?
I don't love this pop-in.
And I kinda hate this in contextleetic wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2026 4:14 am I'm not really feeling the two "counterwagons" all that much either. Rondo just has too little posts for me to care much about that slot. Mainly switching to [VOTE: Duelist Mirage] aubergine because of their vote history having an opportunistic vote on me then switching to another popular wagon (Rondo) that was unlikely to defend themselves but I'll have to dig deeper

I'm not sure exactly what you want me to have done here? My wagon was largely voted by people for poor/no reasons but that's a point that has been litigated a bunch already. Plus my post is looking at specifically EoD wagons, I don't really care about the person who didn't show up in time to move their vote off meVivax wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 4:23 pm One thing I particularly dislike is that leetic was in the position of being the precursor wagon to Nicole and he should have been able to produce a lot of information from his POV but instead all we got was this.
What???leetic wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2026 4:02 pm Nice hit, and good we got them out early given their role. Not sure how to read VCA, theoretically Nicole would have been more likely to survive if her wolf partners voted her but it seemed very unlikely that she would hit the required 11 votes, especially so late in the day. Dubz isn't a last-minute vote that would have given Duelist Mirage much advantage if they were paired with Nicole, so minor town points there I guess?

Hello, I am sorry that I have not been, eh, as present as I would like to be. Big inventor conference this weekend, no time for Mafia! So many great speakers, new ideas... I am not caught up with the thread at this time, but I think we are doing very well so far! We had a game, ah, a little while back where we eliminated all Wolves with zero civilian, eh, casualties! Perhaps a repeat is in order, good job Town!

can you expound on the scum read on LC? You really think they’re the most sus in your entire catch up?
I feel like most of the thread has coalesced around a pretty tight POE. Who in that pool of eels is most likely to just be town but had a bad day?
Who on Nicole’s wagon was the most likely bussing slot?
Bottom two questions can be for anyone
The most sus? Idk about that, I'd say those 4 are on roughly equal ground for me. It interested me though. Felt like LC was stretchy in the discussion with DM. And I didn't see they'd gotten much attention (in the limited pages I've read).
If the thread has a consensus POE I'm woefully unaware of it so you'll have to be more specific on who you're asking about!
I'd expect if Nicole was bussed it would be Wilgy or later but I just kinda doubt it happened (but maybe that's what they want me to think)
I would guess that is because they weren't posting in the timeframe I was reading (from when the Nicole wagon restarted until EOD), and Nicole didn't mention them specifically in her posts.
I have no thoughts on those 3, gomen. I'm about to skim through overall mentions of Nicole for more interactions so we'll see if I find anything there.
Any resemblance to kaiju living or radioactive is purely coincidental.

My issue isn't with your wagon. It's about the reasoning of your attempt to VCA here. Why would Nicole be more likely to survive with partners voting her?
Kinda somewhat understand your Dubz estimate but still feels like weird logic.

I think this is fair. To me, I'm a little more sus of Epig than leetic just because Nicole did bother to drop a vote on leetic (theoretically) and avoided Epig, and I'm not sure it makes sense for her to bus when she's in no apparent danger at that point. And I feel like leetic's contributions have on the whole been more towny. But they're not clear (and it could just be both, which would of course be amazing work)

Man, I'm deeply disappointed by the contributions today from the people in the POE other than dubz.
Which is not to say I find dubz especially towny, just that nobody else has really even bothered to help me find them, and that's unfortunate

Re: WORLD TOUR MAFIA II: JAPAN [DAY TWO]
I agree the politician likely didn't play into the mafia's strategy. I would say that it sort of felt like there was some momentum building after you and I hopped on, and especially after Wilgy voted, so there could be some points earned by bussing.
Plus, there's always a possibility that Nicole/leetic or Nicole/Epig or Nicole/DM could be w/w. I feel like I never am part of a town that gets that lucky, but it's conceivable.
In any event, idk that I would go after anyone on Nicole's wagon today. I'm sure there are wolves hiding off of her wagon and those might be easier to find today. But we may be useful to consider depending on the outcome of today and the next night cycle

idk dubz, Epig was among the more active players overnight as the Nicole wagon was building up and even had significant banter with Wilgy. Rondo was also posting though less.Dubz wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 4:10 pmI would guess that is because they weren't posting in the timeframe I was reading (from when the Nicole wagon restarted until EOD), and Nicole didn't mention them specifically in her posts.GoSpursGo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 4:05 pmMaybe it's not consensus and just my own brain, but while the people you chose as your POE haven't done anything to distinguish themselves as towny, it's interesting to me that the venn diagram between the POE that I posted last night (epig/trek/Rondo (and Michelle, but obv that 's no more)) and yours is nonexistent. idk, I've frequently been the scum who hops on the bus at the very end of the day because I'm hoping it gives me a shred of town cred. If you want to independently find Tranq towny that's fine, but I think the vote was so late and a more or less foregone conclusion that idk that I 'd give much credit thereDuelist Mirage wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 4:54 pmThe very words Tranq spoke which incensed you because they were skeptical of you were a townie thing to be looking into. After going through Nicole's ISO again, it seems pretty clear they were not unhappy with attacking leetic throughout. Cast shade pretty early on, mused about jumping on the wagon, and then of course voted there before dipping.GoSpursGo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 9:12 pmDo you have an opinion on Epig? or if you've talked about him could you point me in that direction?Vivax wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 9:10 pmLeetic just barely avoided being the yeet and should have more information than others knowing his own alignment but he's lacking in impulse to solve instead.GoSpursGo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 8:50 pmI think this is fair. It isn't impossible leetic is still scum, but I'd need some more evidence before going there.

It would not be DM or Nicole I know that buuuuuuuuut at the same time I could see the angle on either of them but I don’t wanna cause they’re the only players I can actually read, and I mean that as presently in this game and not just in general
i feel like a lot of wolves launder soft defenses of their partners thru talking about them in conjunction with another player, and it feels like trekkie is going out of his way to make up a reason why he isnt willing to push on nicole. just feels a lil partner-y

on the flipside i think that dubz has been more towny today, this + their posts on the last page feel like real solving attempts to meDubz wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 10:35 am DM kinda threw a tantrum on pg 14 that I think was coming from a townie perspective

A lot about epig looks like refuge in audacity so he's kinda attracting a lot of controversy to himself which...Might or might not be mafia.GoSpursGo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 9:12 pmDo you have an opinion on Epig? or if you've talked about him could you point me in that direction?Vivax wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 9:10 pmLeetic just barely avoided being the yeet and should have more information than others knowing his own alignment but he's lacking in impulse to solve instead.GoSpursGo wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 8:50 pmI think this is fair. But they're not clear (and it could just be both, which would of course be amazing work)
It's like the motivating factor just passed by him. It's scummy.
Didn't even find him particularly scummy before this day. And he's been around, clearly.
In my opinion, anyway.
Again, I agree with the fundamental premise that leetic isn't clear, I'm just saying based on what I've seen Epig looks like a higher priority
Don't really see why he'd straight up use that as an opener though so that leans more towards it being town.
He really wants to look like he doesn't give a fuck I guess. Might be a not town aligned force but not necessarily mafia either.

Why does nobody have a strong read on Epig today? They're squarely in the middle of the post count, it's not like they've been absent, and they were a primary counterwagon on day 1.

I could see this opinion. Personally, I am still a pretty loud wolf so "attracting attention" doesn't automatically mean town to me.
It's just not even the audacity, but ever since the nicole flip there's been a total lack of engagement. I guess there was a cover in that they would be in the lab this weekend, but still, there's just nothing there helping me find him.

I could vote epi instead of pyx for sure, at least pyx is making an effort to use the flavor posts cleverly enough for game related responses I guess that counts for something desu ne

does anyone remember roughly what the votecount was at the time that nicole made this vote? specifically im wondering if the leetic/epi wagons were tied or notNicoleAndDime wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2026 11:01 pm Yeah leetic is feeling survivalistic here and I don't really like them just bemoaning the wagon on them. I actually feel quite a bit better about this wagon than earlier.
[VOTE: Leetic ] aubergine

Translator3000, how do the Japanese say, "If you're paying attention to the few things I have already said, why are you acting surprised at this, you wet paper bags!?"
Go on, translate now.

@jess see this post if you'd like to see the wagonomics near EOD1. Yes, Epig/leetic were tiedGoSpursGo wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2026 12:09 pm So here are the wagonomics movements yesterday towards EOD:
Here is the VC at the top of page 13 (2150 EDT, ~8h until EOD), just before nutella says she wants the Nicole wagon to come back. The Nicole wagon had just disassembled as nutella had come off of Nicole onto me and then epig, and there was some discussion about how large the leetic wagon was getting. Here it is at 2300 EDT (~7h until EOD) at top of page 14, right as Nicole drops her vote on leetic and bounces. In retrospect, this is a pretty savage outcome for her as she almost certainly thought she was safe as she was going to bed with no votes and 5/4 wagons on leetic and Epig.Spoiler: show
Around 0130 EDT (top of page 15, 4.5h until EOD). The nutella block starts shifting from Epig to Nicole. Others have pointed this out, but Duelist is pushing back pretty hard against this shift. Interestingly, Scotty votes for pyxxy, then joins pyxxy on Rondo, and DM flaps around over in that direction after stopping briefly on Epig.Spoiler: show
And this is the VC at the top of page 16 (around 0300, 3h from EOD). It's a 4-way tie, but Wilgy's vote on Nicole and aggressive wolf-read leads to that wagon really taking off. Long Con and Epig were both coming for DM.Spoiler: show
And this is the final VC. As Nicole's wagon is building, I notice jess and leetic kind of commenting about being sus of a wagon building up on d1. Leetic brings the DM wagon to 6/4, which could be a last gasp to try and bring a counterwagon forward? Tranq then votes Nicole, with the justification that they think DM is town. Looking back, it appears that Nicole actually voted vivax, so it's possible they never actually moved their vote earlier when they said they were moving to leetic.Spoiler: show

He doesn't want you to find him. You'll have to flip him for that. All that lab crap isn't even meaningful.
