Because you just mentioned a profile for Light, and a bunch of players who you think fit that profile, but I haven't seen any detective work from you to pursue any of those sorts of leads. The three players you have voted for this game are Llama, Epi, and myself. None of whom fit your supposed profile for Kira.

Then I will explain to you why. (I also have not voted llama).

I've been observing and interacting with these such players when I can. But I have not noticed anything suspicious from any of them except for bea, and she tells me it was a misunderstanding on my part. I don't believe it, but I have to at least acknowledge that could be true. And though I denied it at the time, I believe llama was right that puzzle-solving distracting us from mafiaing. I lost track of where the game was going. I took Friday off entirely to regroup, and some of Saturday. I thought this would allow others to step in and post instead, but that did not happen. Instead we got more puzzles, and now we have a new message from L to consider.

Regarding Epi, I thought at one point that he could be Light, or at least a Kira. I no longer believe that he is Light, but have another role in mind.

Are you interested in lynching Light, TH? Or any Kiras?

well this message from L has sparked some controversy. I find myself agreeing with epi that I don't think MP would let a role dump info like that but at the same time what if MP did and we didn't listen to L so i'm kinda on the fence.

Day 5: Ace of Death

AceofSpaces suddenly pulled out a deck of cards and began shuffling.

ACEOFSPACES: Let's play a little game everyone.
TURNIP HEAD: Ooh, I like games.
ACEOFSPACES: Everyone, draw a card from the deck, but don't show it to anyone yet.

Everyone stepped forward and took turns drawing a card from the deck.

THELLAMA73: Are you sure this isn't a magic trick?
ACEOFSPACES: No, this is my favorite game.
ELOHCIN: Will we like this game?
MATAHARI: I don't really like new games.
ACEOFSPACES: Trust me everyone. Now tell me what your cards are.

Everyone looked at their card, then shared what they drew.

METALMARSH89: I drew the Ace of Spades.
TURNIP HEAD: No, I drew the Ace of Spades.
BOO: I also drew an Ace of Spades.
EPIGNOSIS: It is impossible for everyone to draw the same card in a standard deck.
FZ.: Well I drew the same card.
ACEOFSPACES: The card that you drew, that player will die.

And with those final words, AceofSpaces suffered a heart attack. He then keeled over, spilling the remainder of the deck across the floor.

DHARMAHELPER: But your name is AceofSPACES, not AceofSpades. Damn Kira.

AceofSpaces has been killed by Kira.

It is still Day 5.

You still have 24 hours to find and lynch Kira.

The first two kills and this kill vary wildly in their methodology. Therefore I can confidently assert that Light has surrendered his death note to Higuchi. Higuchi is now killable. Also, I like to be right about things. Bright side.

I have been monitoring a number of key factors of each kill, in order to profile Kira. The first kill (LC) occured 48 hours and 18 minutes after the night post. The second kill, (SVS) occured 42 hours and 46 minutes after the night post. This third kill occured a mere 24 hours and 7 minutes after the night post. While I had accounted for this in my profile and assumed a mounting time table, the difference is much more than I anticipated and points to another killer.

The first two victims were also likely leaders and case builders. Personalities that would make them difficult to lynch and troublesome for mafia. Typically, Ace just does not fit this profile. He is much more laid back than the previous two victims, not likely to kick up a stink, and definitely not a leader that would amount to any credible threat.

I have other notes, which for the sake of preserving my investigation I will not share.

Although Aces did start this game as a case builder and he would fit in with the Ancient player category known from other sites.

I am not sure it's that much of a drastic change. When I saw the post I thought it disproved your theory.

Zm = me. Phone sucks.

Linkie - br - fair point that aces is an old skool player as well.

"Elohcin has a 0% chance of being Kira, because she is a confirmed Kira sympathizer."

That's pure objectivity containing an assertiveness that was absent in the previous two posts. This is another reason to maintain the opinion that L is not dropping facts into the thread, but his opinion.

I deduce that L is a someone who is learning how to use this role effectively over time, rather than L gaining definitive info on people that he or she can dump in a gossip post.

Do with this analysis what you wish.
I know this doesn't help my case. But....looks like if Higuchi is the new kira, he may be using L's own theories against him. I bet Russ is next.

DH what is the different methodology you are talking about?

There's evidence that disagrees with your thinking.

Bullz was pretty reasonable in his point about mm's case being pate and post vote in an unchangeable vote game.

Dh's posts to Epi read very pot and kettle to me ATM. Between the two I'm reading Epi as more genuine.
I am also surprised you say that re Booms case~ becasue what MM did is EXACTLT what I do. I read and I watch & I remember, and form my opinion. I don't generally bother with a case. I say how I feel and I vote. If someone pushes me I will pull quotes, but MM has voted Epi a few times iirc.

i have been a bit pinged by MM in various places, and tbh, that case is the thing that has gone furthest towards settling my mind a bit about him. He but it together pretty fast it seemed to me; he knew what he was thinking, and knew what he was looking for.
S~V~S, by her own admission, is not a case builder.

Furthermore, Kira is privy to the commentary regarding his kills. Therefore, he can change his methods at a whim. This isn't Kira acting alone in a secluded bedroom. This is Kira acting with full knowledge of what everyone has said about him and his victims.

Perhaps I should have said I considere LC and SVS to have different playstyles than Aces, and that informs my theory. And regardless of the thread, people (and particularly killers) are creatures of habit. It's only natural that a subconscious pattern would emerge.

Mm is overdue for a reread from me.

Eloh is a tough spot. I want to take my time and think about her carefully. L's note is pretty damning. Not sure completely how he's getting his info and what the chance for error is there. I don't want to blindly jump into an Eloh vote and I want to give L's message the weight it deserves.

Long Con has been killed by Kira.

It is still Night 2.

You still have 24 hours to send in your night actions.
LC's kill happened immediately after we lynched BWT and the Night started.

RIP Aces. :)

You're gonna really have to explain how do you assume that when the host post is clear - Night 2. He also made a post that "No one was killed by Kira" on Night 1.

That's when he died, yes. The kill was sent in the previous night.

By your logic, we are now Day 5 and have received Night 3's kill.

linki: again, how can we possibly assume that? What info do *you* have on that?

I'm not sure how it isn't obvious how the kills work.

Night 1 - Kira says he wants to kill LC at XYZ time.

Night post shows no kill, because LC is supposed to die after the lynch.

Night 2 - Kira says he wants to kill SVS at XYZ time

Night post shows no kill, because SVS is supposed to die at a different time.

This makes makes sense.

Epi - I am not sure what you are saying here - I'm admittedly watching walking dead and doing this from my phone at a friends house.

I understand what DH is saying and agree with his analysis. LC was the N1 target, SVS N2, N3 missing, Ace N4. Makes sense to me
