Zomb first posted (after being voted for) at 4:58pm. Llama posted his vote for her at 1:51pm. When she came into the thread, her post and situation read genuine to me. She'd been busy with RL water heater crappiness. I, for one, understand things breaking down. Our heat went out twice this winter. Today its hot outside and so I put the air on and the air conditioner doesn't seem to be working now. And...we just spend over $200 on our car this past weekend. I am going to vote llama. I think he could have shown better effort to find someone who was exhibiting baddie qualities. I think that he didn't try is suspicious.

So we need to look at MP, JC, Zomb, Elohcin and LC. IMO.

I don't have any particular suspicion of the more active people in the Day 0 Lynch, like Golden. It's not that they're any more likely to be Civvie than baddie because of it, but I want to play a game with enthusiastic case-builders, and people who are willing to put themselves out there.
I could see my vote going to someone who seems to be trying to lay low and hold off giving opinions or making cases. That's my Day 1 opinion of things... I want to start this game off right, with interested participation. Soon, I may just accuse someone of something for reactions. That's a time-honoured tradition that I enjoy, and it can even work!

Ok, I understand. I haven't answered Sophie's post yet but I will tomorrow - I'm just too tired to do it tonight. I think sophie's answer is actually probably a fairer representation of why I see you as bad, too, anyway. I saw you as part of a concerted plot to push the vote towards MM, your vote coming at about the time of MPs in-thread push. It felt like you were giving a one-two punch in that direction, working as a team. That's how it appears to me.

That being said, great job Golden, I'm very happy to see that your Mafia instincts are as sharp as or sharper than they ever were! And (for the cross-game record), seeing MM self-vote on Day One as a Civvie does absolutely nothing to sway me from voting for him the next time, and every time he self-votes. It's like a form of meta-gaming, sure he can prove that he does it as a Civvie or a baddie, and the benefit comes when he's a baddie. It's an automatic hiding spot he creates for himself, and it's just not acceptable to me that everyone else has to put themselves out there while he sits back and spends his vote on a hiding spot.

So we need to look at MP, JC, Zomb, Elohcin and LC. IMO.
Fuck, I hate doing lists and I just did.
Aces, MP, Juliet, Black Rock, Eloh.
I dunno. Zomb vouched so obviously, I dunno how new she is, but this seems odd even for a baddie when she described him as a good asset after playing only one game with him. Especially when describing llama as not an asset (I've read death note, and I didn't specifically note Aces as being an asset, but I noticed llama as being potentially an asset... if he is good). BR on the other hand voted Aces... but late enough that the baddies wouldn't expect it to make any impact. Eloh, I have a reason but I need to look back and find the post (no, it's not because she bandwagonned onto the porter vote!)
But surely JC - you can see how in light of what golden said up there - the knowledge of his playstyle. Knowing he was going to go, pardon the expression, "balls to the wall" on Aces, might make teammates want to take that heat off of their teammate. And how your vote - and your messing up the times - while it *may* be coincident looks really bad?juliets wrote:OK, well I had absolutely no pre-knowledge of what was going to happen with Aces votes and I think for you to say I did is illogical. Your vote wasn't cast yet was it?rabbit8 wrote:Canuck was last. But once LC put the 7th vote on MM it was over. I had already said I was not voting aces. The answer: all of them, if you are a marmot.
Sweet words. But wabbit has a point. How many civ's followed your posts and votes for MM that were based on a playstyle and not actually being bad? Even after the playstyle thing was brought up.Long Con wrote:I worked from 5pm to 10pm EST tonight, so I just finished my catch-up of that whole time. I expected to be off sooner (like an hour sooner) but that wasn't possible. So I snuck into a bathroom and cast my vote quickly on my phone. I doubt I would have changed my mind about MM even if I had been fully caught up, and I'll probably go after him next time he self-votes on Day 1 as well. So sorry about the vote-and-dash, I just needed to get my vote in within the time limit while at work.
That being said, great job Golden, I'm very happy to see that your Mafia instincts are as sharp as or sharper than they ever were! I also agree that it's a good idea to look at the MM voters for Aces-savers. My vote had nothing to do with Aces, but the followers of that vote could be suspicious. I mean, I said I was going to cast that vote long before this game was even posted, and so that's what I did. I hope I never have to do it again.
Right now, the suspicion I agree with the most is MovingPictures07, but I have to reread and find out why, because I just kind of skimmed to get up-to-date so I could write this post. Pretty sure I saw something in MP that pinged me regarding the whole MM/Aces situation, so I'll get back to you on that front well before the night is over.

meh - I'm not ready to vote you yet and I trust you less than every other player in this game. Why would MM feel differently?Long Con wrote:Well, tomorrow's not Day One anymore, and reacting to another self-vote from you in this game has certainly lost its shine... although it would be tempting, I'd much rather see you make cases and vote for suspicions. *cue MM vote for LC*Metalmarsh89 wrote:Maybe I'll self-vote tomorrow too.Long Con wrote:I worked from 5pm to 10pm EST tonight, so I just finished my catch-up of that whole time. I don't, and I can think of at least 2 other players I would vote first tomorrow.bea wrote:meh - I'm not ready to vote you yet and I trust you less than every other player in this game. I catch up one post at a time - or all wonkajeeby at once that no one can follow because this site doesn't have HV's multiquote button and I can't be assed to do it the hard way. So you get a million late night posts from me - or one long pain in the arse post - It's my understanding that the one at a time ones are only *slightly* less annoying.rabbit8 wrote:lol, Bea, you so crazy.
No MM, My vote was not cast.![]()
As I said, the seventh vote pretty much sealed the deal. Aces had 2 and could get a total of 7 if everyone left voted for aces. Since I knew I was not going to vote for aces as I had said that multiple times. The poll was closed with you (MM) lynched.
Epignosis wrote:Bitch, my identity is my identity theft protection!
We found out that Golden was right about Aces being bad. The question now is, was I also right about you and Llama?Zomberella12 wrote:Okay - four hours left to vote. Right now I don't like that MM and Llama already voted and seem to have thrown up their hands as far as baddie hunting goes. I know Llama's a jokester, but he's also a loose cannon (still) that doesn't seem to care if he kills a civ or not. Llama, I like your posts, and I'm sure you're going to call a No U on me, but I would post this even if you have voted Rabbit or Rico (WTF?) or anyone else without any reason to.
There is my two bits. I have to do a tax return now but I'll be back to vote.
