Voting on day 1 falls under regular mafia tactics, i.e. voting for the player you think is scum (bad). You will be able to vote only once in the poll (meaning votes aren't changeable). To sort of meet you halfway, I can tell you we do not collectively use the rvs tactic - we do our best to find a player we think might be scum (bad), based on the D0 interaction.
Linki @ Job: why do you ask for confirmation? are you also new to the site?

Paul, just curious; have you read the host rules and host posts and the sign up thread? Specifically the parts about not being obvious as re the sockpuppets?

I'm not being evasive. I like that meta is non existent and want to keep it that way.
I can't commit to voting Nicodemus Paul but what has he done that is suss? I'll certainly assist with applying pressure

Just got done taking a dip in my pool and realized this game started.

This is technically untrue, and I just realized why: Disciples who have not been found search as long as they are alive. Disciples who have been found stop searching and start using whatever gifts God has given them.Epignosis wrote:Disciples search as long as they are alive.
Forgive me for any confusion I may have caused!
Also, if the final six vote before the tenth hour (PM EST), the first stoning will begin.

Deborah is not the one with the tent peg. She is the little old woman depicted in the piece. The tent peg-wielder is none other than Jael, who drove it into the Canaanite warlord Sisera's head while he was asleep. Barak, who defeated the opposing army but lost out on the honor for slaying the captain, is the man in the background.Lot wrote:I may make a lot of puns, but I'm trying to stick to one per post. Now I'll have to pose as something else. Erm... what is BTSC? I am new to mafia and also from another site where they have different jargon. Yes.
No meta is interesting, but the down side is I can't remember who said anything. Everyone blends into one.

Check in. I see we are all trying to play our little parts. How cute, in that case I recommend not crossing me or I may have to call down some bears on your ass. Just sayin'.
@Host, will it be relevant to the game to figure out who the other players are?

Quite a few foreigners around these parts. I say, fellows, when in Canaan, do as the Canaanites do.
Re: Biblical Mafia [PREFACE]
I completely agree, in a game where it has been commanded that identities are not to be shared, even in btsc. At least, I don't mind people trying to figure out who others are... I dare say there will be a lot of that going on. But it bothers me that someone would try to get others to outwardly incriminate themselves in the thread.Cain wrote:I do not like how you are trying to figure out who everyone is. Re: Biblical Mafia [PREFACE]
No more so than almost any male during that time, I would say. In fact, given the cultural changes (and fashion revolutions) during the first century, I would argue that Paul was more aware of the importance and value of women than most of his contemporaries. A lot of what we see presented in his letters dealt with propriety among a given culture, even if Paul (a former Pharisee) used Pharisaic rhetoric and arguments to prove his point (and Israelite Christians in foreign lands would have accepted those arguments).Ruth wrote:I have never been a fan of Pauls; he is such a misogynist.
The head covering passage in First Corinthians 11 makes a lot of sense in this context.
