Ditto. If Uzziah is bad, then it could potentially break the game open but if he's civvie, then it'll be evident that Day 1 and Day 2's stoning votes were all fluff and we'll be exactly nowhere in terms of tracking down baddies. I'd rather get a quiet one and open up the game that way.Belshazzar wrote:same tbhRachel wrote:you know what i don't like?
the "uzzaiah might not be bad, but at least we'll get rid of uzzaiah" trick going on.

I caught up some today, but don't totally get the Mary suspish. I am going to try to figure out the case there, but will likely vote for Uzziah; can someone give me the Mary Mag cliff notes? I am having problems getting past his Day One antics, tbh.

Uzziah is not silenced. He commented on his vote two (real-time) days ago in response to Job's voting for him in Uzziah's same jokey manner. He hasn't spoken since. I'm gonna go ahead and vote for him for reasons previously stated.Jonathan wrote:After giving more though to a Uzziah vote again today I have decided to wait and give that another day or two to develop. He has been silent today (at least I didn't see anything from him) but I don't know if he is laying low or legitimately silenced. I have chosen to go with Lazarus today for the reasons that Mordecai and Balaam brought up today. One thing that does concern me is that maybe he has been silenced but I'm going to take the risk in his case.
Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER III]
I do not even see where Lot explained his vote. In fact he said in his one post he would vote for Absalom. That's more weird than pingy, which means i would like an explanation before voting him.Ruth wrote: Why is her vote more suspicious than Lots?

Chapter III
1 When the serpents of Egypt had killed Paul, they did creep along the dust of the earth and took refuge in the tent of Mary Magdalene. 2 And it came to pass that in the morning, witnesses heard the sound the serpents made ere Mary Magdalena was awake. Chapter III
3 “Surely she is a conspirator with the emissary from Egypt, who brought this evil among us. She must be destroyed,” they reasoned. 4 And so they were exceedingly vexed with the presence of Mary Magdalene, and went into her tent and slew her. 5 And when they prepared the body for burial, they were astonished, saying, “Wherefore did a man name himself Mary Magdalene?” 6 Another answered, saying, “We have surely sinned, for in the tent I found the seal of Israel, that which belongs only to King David. He hid himself as a woman to hide from his enemies” 7 And they tore their clothes and beat their breasts, having slain a king of Israel. 8 The Lord heard of their sins, and His wrath burned against the people of Sin-d’kaht. 9 And there was much linki.

Now all we can do is wait for Epi to smite one of us. There is definitely something up with these lynch votes. That Mary wagon went from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye. All we need to do is hit one heathen and this game is gonna take a turn for the better just on these poll results alone.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER III]
I didn't think Mary Magdalene was a terrible choice for a lynch (I would have been on board, I'm sorry to say), but I am surprised about how it once again sort of developed from nowhere and became a lynch train.
Let me just address three things real quick.
1) I'm astonished - genuinely astonished - at how people could go after me for 'not truly considering the possibility that Absalom might be being framed' seeing as I was the person to raise the possibility. Great way to turn my words against me.
2) I voted Rachel because Belthazzar's post told me what I needed to know. I went back and did a reread of Rachel. For me, the number one sign that someone is bad is that they can't keep straight their own thinking on 'what is bad'. Rachel was suspicious of Balaam for his lists. Later, she was suspicious of someone else for being suspicious of Balaam's lists. For me, there is no way a civilian has these two suspicions. I'm surprised at how many people accept 'I forgot'. If you have to manufacture reasons for suspecting people, you do tend to forget them. But if you find a particular kind of behaviour suspicious (eg, Balaam's lists) I tend to think this is something entrenched inside you - you don't just forget it and then a day later find someone else suspicious for doing exactly what you did. I think Racel was sailing with the wind - when the Balaam suspicion didn't stick, she went a different direction. I'm big on looking for inconsistent thinking (see my day one Jephthah vote rationale). For me, Rachel is the most likely candidate to be bad, I'm really quite sold on it.
3) I tend to think it's fairly obvious what I meant by 'this is the only time you'll hear from me today'... I had posting restrictions. Beats being completely silenced, though, at least I had one chance to get my thoughts out. For what it's worth, I still think that the Absalom stuff is so ludicrous that it points more towards him being bad than framed. It became very clear that he was cursed, but the curse didn't force him to propose the 'pattern of killing annoying people' theory.

Also, anyone who dies in divine judgement, I think... could be a candidate for being born again (should we have a rez up our sleeves). Because while a lot of civilians die, there is always the outside possibility of a seemer, whereas divine judgement must hit a civilian. If I read things correctly.

Although, David is pretty powerful, so MM might be worth the risk. I understand where Balaam is coming from, but I've seen people who aren't that much help in the thread win the game for the civs behind the scenes with their power.

It's not clear that the randomly selected civvie will have their role revealed. I assume we're going to be left knowing that they were good but not knowing exactly who we are. Maybe the host can clarify that one.Lot wrote:Also, anyone who dies in divine judgement, I think... could be a candidate for being born again (should we have a rez up our sleeves). What I mean is - someone who is lynched can have their role revealed, but they could be a seemer - ie a baddie who, when lynched, looks civilian. But I think someone who suffers divine judgement MUST be civilian, whether or not their role is revealed...Balaam wrote:It's not clear that the randomly selected civvie will have their role revealed. But honestly we are probably better off rezzing someone who we know has a decent power than someone random anyway, so I don't even really buy my own idea as that helpful, on second thoughts.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER III]
I didn't do 'pages of analysis' on Absalom.... actually, what accounted for most of my post was a single post he made too, which tipped me over the edge. However, my confusion about who was who between you, Rebecca, and Ruth certainly made me realise the need to go back and read all three of you, which I duly did.
Interesting that you chose to characterise my one post as 'pages of analysis', however.
You and Absalom - both of you seem more likely to be on the side of bad, to me. My vote for you was because I think your 'one misguided comment' was incredibly misguided indeed. Or, to put it another way, I think it is evidence that your suspicions are not entirely genuine.
