The worst part about waiting for the lynch post is the fact that DREAM clearly has not checked in yet to watch the looks on all our faces

I think that would be wise.Turnip Head wrote:I was thinking about listening to Bass and TimmerMetalmarsh89 wrote:If you've got any suggestions of who we should listen to aside from llama, I'm all ears.Turnip Head wrote:Okay, but it was just yesterday that Llama vouched and unvouched for a few people with just as strong words, didn't he? And even if Pied Piper info is in play, it's still not a guaranteed read, and even if it somehow was he would have said something much earlier in the lynch. I simply read it as Llama phoning it in for this lynch, tbh.
I just think we should take Llama's opinions with a grain of salt and treat them for just what they are: Llama's opinions. I was thinking FZ might have appreciated the point I'm making here most of all, which is why I'm asking her about it.

My suspicions should not be interpreted as vouches. That's not my style. When I think someone is bad, I'm likely to say "That person is bad!" Doesn't mean I know more than you.

Day 6: The Thrill of the Hunt
DREAM ducked and weaved through the forest bordering Central City, her heart beating rapidly as a crowd of bloodthirsty pursuers tracked her down.
She cursed the Flash's name as she ran right into a trap. She had come so close to destroying the city he swore to protect; but alas, her mission would end at the bottom of a pit.
The townsfolk hurreidly shoveled the earth back into the makeshift hole they'd made, burying poor DREAM alive.
After the deed was done, a sly villain who lurked in the shadows celebrated eliminating the opposition. They were about to become even more brazen.
DREAM has been lynched. She was Gorilla Grodd. Grodd's kill has been inherited...
You have 29 hours to PM me (Night will end at ~4PM tomorrow).

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)
Night 6 - I Blame Rube Goldberg
The adventurous criminal mastermind looking to have their revenge on the Gem Cities was poised to strike. They prepared to kill from the shadows, eliminating a hated opponent.
However, as the killer wound up and hurled a large knife at his target, a balloon popped...no...exploded...? The small blast wounded the intended target, but left them far more alive than the assailant had planned.
Meanwhile, the knife was flung back into the killer's direction. They thought fast, deflecting it. The blade was hurled up into the air and flew an unusual, almost cartoonish distance through the night sky. It's trajectory dropped and it fell into the heart of a passerby, tragically minding her own business before being struck down.
Spacedaisy has been killed.
It is now Day 7. You have 48 hours to find out who threw the wacky knife!

I think Plunder is dead and that whoever inherited Grodd's NK is not killing in favor of the Old Rogues, otherwise they would not have killed Daisy.

I agree, which is why we're getting this mystery killer instead of Plunder. Probably the New Rogues inherited Grodd's kill to make up for their lack of one, or something.Turnip Head wrote:I think Plunder is dead and that whoever inherited Grodd's NK is not killing in favor of the Old Rogues, otherwise they would not have killed Daisy.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)
A reread of the night post... it seems as though Daisy wasn't the intended target tonight. The intended target had a balloon pop/explosion that sent the knife back at the killer... who then deflected it to Spacedaisy.
So, clearly the killer is Dharmahelper, in the Conservatory, with the Sadistic Grin.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)
So what do people think of Grodd's kill possibly going to Zoom? To me it makes the most sense to keep the Arch Villains kill in-house, as opposed to giving another one to the New Rogues, unless Plunder is dead?
As for today's lynch, I'm still inclined to distrust MM and think that's where we will find our Top.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)
Sorry for not being around. A good friend killed himself (jumping off a building) and I'm devastated. Trying to do my best to catch up, but I'm going to the funeral today and I don't know how much I'll feel like playing today or tomorrow
I read the night story and thought maybe what happened could be related to this:
The Trickster – The most inexperienced Rogue and a notorious prank enthusiast. Leaves a “trap” on one player during even nights. If that player is ~ar~e~e~, the a~~~~~ ~s re~erse~.
I don't know if someone already solved this, but I read it as: "If that player is targeted, the action is reversed".
So it made me wonder whether the Trickster trapped the victim of the killer tonight, and the action was reversed. If that's what happened, then it means Daisy could have been a killer

And TH, I'm not sure what it is you asked me exactly when you asked why am I putting so much faith in llama, but if you're referring to the night, I forgot there were no actions that night, sorry.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)
I think you're right, someone definitely tried to kill The Trickster last night. Not entirely sure if SD was that killer, as the post writes her as a passerby minding her own business, but that could be just fluff writing for obfuscation.FZ. wrote:Sorry for not being around. Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)
RIP Daisy
FZ, I read the mystery phrase the same way. I doubt Daisy was the killer, though. I think "innocent bystander" is exactly what she was in that scenario. I think it was quite literal in meaning that the killer deflected his own knife.
I also agree that the trickster could have set the "trap" on himself, but the may not necessarily be the case.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)
This makes total sense to me. Looking back, he was kinda annoyed when we tried to find alternatives to "Timmer" during the Timmer curse, didn't he? And I have never been forced by the Top, and if that role was connected to Timmer, I think I would have been.timmer wrote:So what do people think of Grodd's kill possibly going to Zoom? I am going to trust Bass, who I am like super sure is not bad. Voting MM.
Based on that word "reversed" I am not sure that that is exactly how it works, I think the Tricksters TARGET was the attempted kill, and it was deflected to that persons target, perhaps? I have been wondering about this since the Bullz kill. The vagueness of that post made me think there was a deflection role of some kind.Long Con wrote:I think you're right, someone definitely tried to kill The Trickster last night. Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)
Yes, absolutely... the Trickster wasn't targeted, the Trickster's target was targeted. Either way, we've quasi-confirmed an Old Rogue still out there.S~V~S wrote:Based on that word "reversed" I am not sure that that is exactly how it works, I think the Tricksters TARGET was the attempted kill, and it was deflected to that persons target, perhaps? I have been wondering about this since the Bullz kill. The vagueness of that post made me think there was a deflection role of some kind.
However... The Top: Night kills targeted at him will be redirected to a random player.
The Top is our new killer.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)
If the host post points to the top being the new killer, my vote goes to MM, I think it's the best chance at hitting that role.
My siggie.

That's not what I meant.FZ. wrote:And TH, I'm not sure what it is you asked me exactly when you asked why am I putting so much faith in llama, but if you're referring to the night, I forgot there were no actions that night, sorry.

I meant why did you interpret Llama's tone as more than just his opinion?
Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)
Because he came in after Dream had already more than a few votes, and said it was Dream was the right way to go. After he said before, he doesn't like info dumping, or something in those lines, I thought that he decided to finally put his own thoughts and vote in a way that won't influence us. But I forgot that he couldn't have had that information that night anyway.Turnip Head wrote:I meant why did you interpret Llama's tone as more than just his opinion?

But that's kind of my point... Llama doesn't want us to be influenced by his vote, but you used that as a reason to be influenced by his vote. Just seemed off to me, given the specific players that are involved.FZ. wrote:Because he came in after Dream had already more than a few votes, and said it was Dream was the right way to go.
