I imagine Turnip Head will also put his vote on Sophie. Hopefully Bass does not follow suit.
I'm bothered by Timmers game play this lynch as well.

Day 8 - Centrifuge

At the crack of noon, Turnip Head rose from a quick nap and drew the curtains from his windows. He squinted as the sun poured over his face, but took a step back and gazed in bewilderment as he saw the remainder of the city's population waiting right outside his window.

The view outside of his small home wasn't quite as he remembered it either. Beyond the crowd, the earth dropped sharply and in the distance, Turnip Head could see the city he once wanted to call his and his alone.

Yes, while Turnip slept soundly after a hard night's work, the people of Central City had deduced that he was hiding a dark secret. They tethered his mobile home to their vehicles, and drove it to the top of Granite Peak.

Turnip Head wanted to run, to escape the angry mob. But before he had an opportunity, he was knocked off his feet by the floor movinbg under him. He fell forward onto his wall, breaking his nose. The house tipped over again, and again, and again as it tumbled down the mountainside. By the time Turnip's residence hit the base of Granite Peak, there was barely anything left of it...and barely anything left of him.

Turnip Head has been lynched. He was The Top.

It is now Night 8. You have 24 hours to send me PMs.

Some of the early interacting with llama, for one thing, plus some map stuff, plus some other stuff I won't mention. I tried to piece together his role from a pile of different little things and came to the absolutely worst conclusion. As of now, the only person I will semi trust is Devin, due to his stance on TH. I am moving to neutral on MM, same reasons, but I'm not sure about Sophie.

Lol, i was as vocal as lynching th than devin or mm, but you wont be sure about me?

Plus you chose to "trust" th based on his interactions to llama but chose to ignore llama said several times i should be trusted?

Ok then, making real sense there, timmer

Sophie's avatar is totally saying that last line.

Feels really good to sit down. I've been on the go for about 14 hours straight and sitting down to relax at my computer with a rye and coke is just so nice. Hi everyone!

Also, when I just got home from work tonight, I came in to see a forlorn-looking Black Rock in her robe, with children around whose bedtime was past. I said " What's going on?"

"Baby, I'm sick!"

:( She is nauseous and in bed right now. Don't expect her to come into the thread anytime soon. Hopefully tomorrow morning she will feel better! :scared:

Anyways, great lynch on The Top, ladies and gents! See ya, Mr Sneaky Mind Controller! Unless he was Mirror Master:

Mirror Master – A mercenary who has access to the Mirror Realm. He can spy on a player during odd nights. If he is checked, he will appear as a different and random role. In fact, he’s so skilled at creating illusions that even if he is lynched, he will appear as someone else.

Or:

Plunder – A marksman from the Mirror Universe. He kills on even nights. Like Mirror Master, he will not appear as his role if he is checked.

Not sure if Plunder's deception extends to lynches though. And this argument could be used for any lynch at all. Any role we think is gone could be one of these guys. Most notably, Llama.

Wouldn't that be a fine how-do-you-do, if Llama were one of those guys and Barry Allen never really died? That's like, comic book plotline-worthy! My blood ran cold for a sec when I thought of how Llama hasn't ever confirmed Roxy's role, and doesn't give us any indication at all that he has teammates or that they have done checks of players. I was like "OMG - he's Plunder!"

Then I thought of all the reasons he IS likely to be Barry Allen. Well, some of them, at least. Like, he's never been called out for it by a "real" Barry, and... I don't know. It's a really interesting possibility, but considering it would be just pounding our heads against a wall, in a way.

This post was brought to you as a LIVE train of thought while I sat here. :noble:

timmer wrote:Okay, so I'm looking at today like this. We don't know how many New Rogues are left, but we do know that unless a series of people have been lying profusely, The Top is still alive.

So who is The Top? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the list of people claiming to have been mind controlled so far is rabbit, MM and BR? I feel like I've missed one. Rabbit had to vote for BF, BR had to push Roxy/Aces and couldn't go against me, and MM had to put my name in everything. Is that all correct?

So first off, we can rule out the absent players, and those who just subbed in. Honestly, if someone is deliberately never posting but sending in night actions, I quit mafia, that's just weak - so I personally rule out Soniji, Devin, Dreams here. I also rule out myself, though I know some of you may not. We can rule out llama as well.

So that leaves Bass 2, Black Rock, FZ, Long Con, MM, rabbit, Sophie, Daisy, SVS, TH.

Making someone say "Timmer" is not really Sophie's style, so I doubt it's her. Bass 2.0 wouldn't have made Black Rock go after Roxy/Aces as he has been solidly in support of Roxy, so it wouldn't be him. I don't really know FZ, so I'll need others to fill in an opinion there. TH has been supportive of me all game, so I doubt this is a TH thing. I would HOPE this hasn't been rabbit's doing; he's kind of not around and has admitted he doesn't have time for the game. To not post but to send in night actions such as these wouldn't be something he did, I think. And I still think Daisy's posts around when she thought she was going to be lynched point to her being an indy of some kind.

So I'm left with Black Rock, Long Con, MM, SVS. For reasons I can't say, I personally rule out SVS from the list. I don't know her role or anything that specific, but I do not think SVS is the one laying mind controls on. She could be bad, but not The Top, UNLESS there is a mind control I'm missing... have I missed one?

Which drops me to LC, BR and MM.

For me, it comes down to... who self-targeted versus is this LC's doing? I'm going to declare that I think it is MM. BR's stated mind control was subtle and very strategic; force her to concentrate on one set of suspicions and not another. It cries out solid manipulation. Rabbit's was more simple, but still very strategic; make a case against bf. But what was MM's? Say "Timmer" all over every post. There is nothing strategic about it, at all. It's a gag act, a silly thing to annoy people and generate some chuckles.

The "say Timmer" mind control does not fit the other two. Thus, I can only come to the conclusion that that one is false.

I'm voting MM today. Things that will potentially change my mind; if someone mentions a curse I forgot that changes the tilt of my case, or if someone can show how FZ could have done all of this, mores than MM's doing it.
I'm going to bring this post up again, and the fact that timmer so easily dismissed TH from his case over who could be the Top.

I think timmer should be lynched tomorrow.

That's the thing... I had thought TH was being naive to trust Timmer based on the Bass 1.0 lynch. Now it turns out that it was Timmer being naive... or that Timmer and TH were New Rogues together.

Who else would you propose we lynch?

I actually might reconsider Bass. I think it's odd on Day 7 that he would so strongly oppose lynching timmer, but try to lynch me, and then on Day 8, he voted for timmer when TH was starting to gain votes.

What do you think of SVS?
I remember SVS being on the same wavelength as Roxy early on, especially about Epignosis, so knowing Roxy's role would help a lot but I'm inclined now to believe that Epig was likely up to no good so that's a plus for her. SVS also volunteered the fact recently that her role could change if certain somethings happen, and asked if others have that type of disclaimer on their role. I do not, and so far no one else said THEY do, so that makes me wonder if she's perhaps the missing Arch-Villain - Zoom, who has those ??????? at the end of their role, or, if there is one detective left, maybe she's that role.

Either way, I don't believe she has permanent BTSC with anyone, her reactions to the turns this game has made are similar to what I've been feeling, which is the sense of being alone in a confusing world, lol.

I don't see her as a New Rogue, really. But then, we've seen how my views on that have gone.

I thought he voted Timmer well before that? I don't know, I think Bass is neutral.

I dont buy this "timmer being naive" thing. He is not like that, he is usually sharp, smart, and doesnt seem one who can get fooled easily. But hes been like this in this game, trusting wrong people, arriving to wrong conclusion. This doesnt seem like civvie timmer.

Svs, shes strange too, in this game. First, she was suspish of timmer, then she drop it, then she voted mm cause she thought he was tops (?) And then shr didnt wanna vote th and voted for me. Really?

Then there are rabbit and soneji, both are completely absent and probably at least one of them is a new rogue.

Then theres bass, who everyone seems to trust for some reason, so thats giving me pause in my suspish about them.

Then there are mm, lc, br, fz and devin, who i kinda trust at the moment, since we all seem to be on the same page and they did vote against tops.

But the svs, timmer, th fraction have been voting differently. I think here lies another baddie, adding that to rabbit or soneji

S~V~S has now been involved in trusting two baddies along with Civs/Indys. Correct me if I'm wrong, S~V~S, because it was several game days ago now and I have no time to be looking back right now. You trusted Aces alongside Roxy. You trusted TH alongside Timmer. You trusted Bass 1.0.

A lot of that trust was likely blind, of course, since the New Rogues don't start with BTSC and Aces was an Archvillain. It's all a matter of when you might have been recruited if you are New, and whether or not a reread of your posts comes across as the type of supportive yet on the outskirts way a baddie would subtly try to protect a teammate.

Anyways, going to work now, be back later tonight for a bit.
