Do you seriously think If I were on a bad team I would kill Dream, who led me in votes? Unlike some people today who felt the need to post themselves to death, I actually try to win especially if I am responsible to other teammates. Notice how no one is arguing against my lynch either. There are 3 people interested in voting me Golden, DH, and splints I believe and 3 baddies left. Interesting, no? The argument that llama was killed because he called me HedgeBaddie is also ridiculous. He has been calling me that for countless games and we have known each other since we were kids. Almost every time we call each other out as bad we have been wrong, so we are horribly bad at reading each other yet suspect each other every game.
With 7 people left in this game and 3 baddies vs. 4 civs it is crucial that we lynch a baddie or game over.
I really don't know what to make of the MM vs TH insanity. Is it just antics or what? Honestly, it makes me less suspicious of MM.

Re: Omertà Mafia [Day 1]
I was reading splints posts to address her questions on me and now she reads clearly bad to me.fingersplints wrote:It wasn't an actual no u as I did not take it as an actual suspicion. If Long Con is really suspicious of me then he can post why and I will address it.Metalmarsh89 wrote:My current and extremely minor suspicions so far are ika for the early vote, MovingPictures07 for not posting yet, and fingersplints for the quick NoU to Long Con. Golden also gets my eye for being far too commendable.
I think splints is one of the hiding baddies. LC suspects her and there was apparently some antics and teasing from a past game.
Here she is defending Golden as it is his civvie game and jumping on thefingersplints wrote:He isn't the only one wasting posts though:Roxy wrote:Ricochet - I was looking forward to playing with you and you seem to be playing around with this game. Why waste posts in a game where you only get 4 of them?
I think at this point I am suspicious of anyone wasting posts. With only 4 posts allowed (without vote penalty)it doesn't seem in the towns best interest to throw them away.Turnip Head wrote:Nobody's here.
I also don't find MM almost trying to go over the count helpful, but I don't know that it makes me suspicious. I just don't understand his motivation. It doesnt seem like it would be beneficial from a civvie or mafia perspective.
I don't think that is fair to say at this point as the game is not over and either side can still win. Helping your fellow civvies win isn't an overplayed hand IMO. but I'm not going to say anything else on this subject til that game is over.Long Con wrote:Missing Person has the right idea, my fingersplints thread-vote was pure saltiness because she rolechecked me and then murdered me in the Jesus Toast game we were both in. Fortunately, she overplayed her hand at that point and my Mafia cohorts dismembered her painfully. Her countervote on me comes as no surprise.
I think this is Golden civvie game. I would say he seems like he is overreacting a bit considering he only has one vote, but I've seen him lynched for less many many times.
She's jumping on the suspicion of people wasting their posts, an easy thing for any baddie to do. Defends Goldens game as civvie, which always makes me wonder.fingersplints wrote:He isn't the only one wasting posts though:Roxy wrote:Ricochet - I was looking forward to playing with you and you seem to be playing around with this game. Here she is not suspicious of TH, when before she was clearly suspicious of him and his useless posts. Now after I mention roxy and who she could read well that would be so threatened by her is where splints suddenly suspects me for being vague. If am wondering how well Roxy reads splints now. I should have paid more attention here clearly, but it still might not be too late.fingersplints wrote:RIP LC
Sorry I have been a bit quieter. I think I took on too much at once
I am not suspicious of TH's behavior still, but am understanding the points raised on hedgie. Things she has said like this seem a bit off to me.
Here it felt like she was setting this up for future suspicions but not really naming a target. She almost suspects llama but not really. It's all so vague. Roxy and LC are both great players and I think they are a threat for most players.Hedgeowl wrote:Apologies for the missed vote. I did not realize that nights could be shortened. Interesting to see the Rico lynch flip, and sad that his posts continued in that unhelpful manner despite his civness. As for Golden, I see more debate that has me appreciating his thoughts more, but I am really appreciating MP2. I am definitely going to miss reading the posts between him and LC. With all these new-to-me players I have no reads on their past, only their present, so I will just have to work from that and take everyone's opinions with a grain of salt.
I will say that the Nk targets are interesting. Someone is taking out the vets. I almost suspect Llama for his "omg my buddie died" schtick, but he and I have a horrible history of reading each other despite his HedgeBaddie nickname for me. But it makes me wonder who would be the ones to take out Roxy and LC? Roxy can read some people particularly well and I wonder who was so threatened by her.
I will need to reread some of the posts and reply tomorrow in more detail.
Night ya'll
1
More to come after dinner and fuck somehow I posted this mid post and got linki by my own post I hate phone posting sometimes
In this post it is clearly too late to "save" her teamie MP, so she distances herself by stating that she's worried its a civvie bandwagon , but the points on him are valid. If she is deciding between me and llama or MP? Who is him in this post. She has defended llama as civvie already, so it might look strange if she votes there, so sticks to her vote for me and avoids voting Mp just in case. Her teammate golden sets up the civvie bandwagon idea starts with a vote for me to have an alternative and then she follows right along.fingersplints wrote:I'm worried that this is a civvie bandwagon too, but I do think the points on MP are valid. Posts like this :Golden wrote:Well, it seems MP is going down like a sack of potatoes. That seems way too easy, I'm quite surprised to see 5 votes come in for him. I was a little wary of him, but I hadn't felt like I was seeing a lot of him looking VERY suspicious or that many people being very suspicious of him.
I'm going with one of my top two suspects, Hedgeowl.
2
don't help him look any better to me. I think llama is a civvie, and it seems like he is just taunting rather then defending himself. I'm deciding between him and hedgeowl for today's vote. I've been a massive failure at voting this game so I want to vote relatively soon.MovingPictures07 wrote:Llama is Baddie McBadderson.

Here she reinforces the idea that llamas death was because My baddie teammates and I were "just that obvious" rather than the fact that llama got MP killed and they baddies didn't want him coming after the rest of them or a revenge kill.fingersplints wrote: llama
my suspects also have stayed the same. Not really surprising given the lack of conversation in here. I didn't realize only 4 posts would be quite so difficult.
llama being killed could be to set hedgie up, but sometimes the mafia is just that obvious. With this many people suspecting her, it would make sense to take at least one of them out.
I think splints and Golden are definitely the baddies we are looking for and I will be interested to see who comes to their defense as their third teammate.
I will be visited by three voters today trying to lynch me, let's see who they are and catch a baddie.

Re: Omertà Mafia [Day 6]
That's actually a pretty good case on splints.
Dunno where you get your case on me from at all, except perhaps that we both voted for you and it's just a no u. If splints is bad for seeing my civ game, then I suppose everyone else is too.
But you've given me pause for thought, at least....
But here is what I think happened... you guys can win if you just get ONE civilian lynch.
So, get civ cred by taking out splints, and then you look better.
TB, Neverwhere and DH all voted for MP. I don't think there is any evidence he was bussed. I know I'm not bad. So to my mind, the three baddies are splints, MM, hedge.

So you think Hedge/Splints are just betting that we lynch one of them and take the other as a civ, which will clear the way for them to win?Golden wrote:That's actually a pretty good case on splints.

Re: Omertà Mafia [Day 6]
I think hedge is betting splints comes back bad and you lynch me tomorrow, based on her post, yes.
But honestly, if you see it from my point of view (knowing I'm civilian) and look at the vote train for MP - I think that primarily because unless MP was bussed it's the only correct answer.
The only other possibility is that either you, TB, or neverwhere is bad and:

I mean, I guess Neverwhere could be bad, that's possible. TB and you don't seem that likely based on vote order.
I'd be fairly happy to go splints but since you have already gone hedge, I'm going to wait to see what others have to say.

But honestly, if you see it from my point of view (knowing I'm civilian) and look at the vote train for MP - I think that primarily because unless MP was bussed it's the only correct answer.
The only other possibility is that either you, TB, or neverwhere is bad and:

What you're saying makes sense, and I think we're six of one, half dozen of the other as far as this lynch goes. I felt a hedge vote was our best shot as I've been consistently seeing baddie hedge, so we'll see.Golden wrote:I think hedge is betting splints comes back bad and you lynch me tomorrow, based on her post, yes.

Re: Omertà Mafia [Day 6]
Basically either we pick right or we lose...
It might be you all along, DH. I dunno. I'm paranoid, and ultimately this reminds me of Narnia - not enough to go on. Actually, I think the civilian chances in this game were essentially derailed by Ika, TH and (to a much lesser extent) Rico. It's frustrating, and something that honestly I just don't have a lot of respect for. It's almost like 'whats the point' if the game is just going to be lost by a bunch of civilians who don't even care. I'm incredibly disappointed by TH's lynch, for example. What was that even about it just makes it hard to feel like putting effort into the game as a player is worthwhile, and that's not cool for Epi who put together a clever game.
I don't know what more I can do. I guess I'll just vote hedge too, hope we are right, hope enough others vote that way. If not, I guess it's all over.

Re: Omertà Mafia [Day 6]
There's not quite much of a case on you, but you were one of the non-MP voters, and with limited numbers as you've noticed it has to be someone. What I am stuck on and I think many of us are is whether llama was the role checker or not. He vouched for you too strongly to not be it would seem, but if so then either he hadn't checked my role yet and was messing with me or didn't care what impression he left. If he wasn't the role checker, then that leaves you as a baddie candidate, but I can't decide. I am definitely going to vote splints before you if I can get enough support there, but I am really curious now where MM and neverwhere will vote.Golden wrote:That's actually a pretty good case on splints.
1
The baddies can win with one civ lynch this round and then kill tonight takes us out, so your vote is crucial. Also, if I am bad I don't need civ cred, the baddies win if they lynch a civ, end of game, so if we actually lynch someone bad today it gives us another day to maybe guess right, but might not.
This is the only scenario for a civ-win left:
Day 6: lynch bad
Night 6: civ killed
Day 7: lynch bad
Night 7: civ killed
Day 8: lynch bad - team dead 2 civs still alive.
Granted as the numbers dwindle hopefully it becomes clearer who is truly bad.
I plan to vote splints today, but if someone has a really compelling case against MM I'd listen.
3
I agree with your sentiments here and it's a shame. I didn't help by missing votes and not being more present, but trying to make up for it now that I have the time. I allowed myself to be an easy target with no one coming to my defense, because you're basically a team of one if not bad.Golden wrote:Basically either we pick right or we lose...

Re: Omertà Mafia [Day 6]
llama vouched for me on day one, before he could reasonably be considered the detective I think. Not that I want to build the case against me, but... truth is truth.
Here is the thing - if we are both good, if you and I are genuinely both civilian....
Then MP was thrown under the bus.
And that changes everything completely. That's a world in which DH could be bad, even TB... I don't know. Maybe they had the plan to take him out because they figured it would win them the game and he wasn't so active anyway. I never could make sense of where his lynch came from, he didn't seem that suspicious to me. Maybe he said to his team 'lynch me, and then you will get the win'.
This is my last post today, and for the first time I really feel 4 are not enough. But I'm actually beginning to wonder if I've been looking at this whole thing backwards for a really long time.
I don't really know who to vote for now. I'm lost. Splints is something I'll follow you in on, but if I'm right and they threw MP under the bus, ti could even be DH or I don't know who.
Hedgey, I tell you what. I feel like we only have one shot at this and we can't use extra posts or the baddies can simply pile on, so... I will allow you to vote, I will follow you in to that vote, and I will hope badly that we have extended this game by a day and caught a baddie.
As Neverwhere and TB will know from having just played Narnia with me... its much easier to have a baddie team all vote the same way than get the civilians too. But I know I'm not bad, so I hope people will follow wherever hedges vote goes. Let's just hope it works out.

Hmm, good point. I forgot about the are bad question you were the only one to answer. Looking over his list before he died though he was definitely narrowing on some correct suspicions based on who was killed and lynched, but maybe I just need to give him credit for good instincts sometimes.Golden wrote:llama vouched for me on day one, before he could reasonably be considered the detective I think. I absolutely think MP could have been thrown under the bus by someone. We know it's not llama as the last voter. It makes no sense that it would be TinyDancer, MP2 was killed, so no go there. That leaves DH and Neverwhere, both who are still alive. I have never played with Neverwhere and dont know his baddie habits, but DH is a player who would deffo bus MP if he thought it was needed. I think we worry about the 3rd player if we make it through the next day and night though.
It's truly amazing that we are still so in the dark this far into the game, so props to the baddies. I am willing to take this leap of faith Golden, so here's hoping I see you on the flip side.
I vote Fingersplints

Re: Omertà Mafia [Day 6]
Dang it. I didn't think TH was a baddie. What did he go and do that for?? I also feel bad for being so wrong about DREAM. I really though I Was on to something there. Also, what the fuck is going on. How are two people dead and there's no night?? I'm too hungover for this today.
I am still wondering about TB but there's not much to go on.
I'm reading and rereading Hedge's case on splints and I'm not sure if I agree with it or not. Having just played a game wiht her on another site, I've been reading her as civ for the most part. This has been a tough game to go on with so little posting and discussion.
I'm thinking of voting Hedge because she seems a bit desperate.
