In my mind, for what it's worth, Golden is sounding frustrated. Whether that's civ/bad/neutral is unknown to me. But the emotional nature of his frustration sounds honest to me.

Oh, then I'm sorry I didn't understand that a response to my question 'what is the baddie motive' was not you answering my question.
But I'd still like you to answer it.

Scotty claimed that SVS has power, so she's suspicious.Golden wrote:I don't even understand the point that is being made? What would he have been told in btsc?Dom wrote:A person who had played RMs before would know.JaggedJimmyJay wrote:How do you suppose a Scotty with BTSC would have come upon this information? If his BTSC partner told him, how did that player know?Dom wrote:This post.
Scotty has never played a RM before. Scotty assumed everyone is vanilla like in previous games. Scotty would not know about this. Scotty must have been told about this.Scotty wrote:Spinning the old randomizer wheel before I leave for one my infamous 14 hour shifts today (help me).
I have a slight gut read that SVS has some power in this game, and I don't like it. So nothing against you, SVS, but you got my vote day 1.
Unless I am misinterpreting the highlighted line...
Additionally, this is a huge contradiction. "Random vote"-->I think SVS is bad???
So... we all have powers? Like???
However, in previous RM games this WOULD have been the basis for a suspicion.

I hope BWT is bad. I think it would have been wiser to lynch epi, but perhaps we could return to that tomorrow.

People had powers in RM3, in the first 2 editions most started as vanilla though.Golden wrote:Oh, would it? That is interesting.

Boy, I don't think I've taken so much bullshit suspicion on day one before.
1) Answering a question thoroughly
2) Using the word but
3) Thinking that the point of recruitment mafia was recruiters recruiting.
I think thats a record for me.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 1)
DH, to explain my vote more thoroughly, my initial gut response to Canuck was along the lines of, "That is exactly the mind set that will be counter productive to baddie hunting, but clearly she is neutral," but then I realized that I have no idea if she actually is neutral or justifying what would normally look like an opportunistic baddie vote by making herself appear like a neutral. And that is why I voted her.
And golden, you sound extremely over emotional. It doesn't help you to threaten to kill epi no matter what alignment you or he end up in.
I agree with this.Typhoony wrote:I'm not really comfortable voting anyone honestly.
And if the vote stays this close, vote manips will have a field day in fucking up the lynch result... so Caelia's lynch pardon might not be a bad idea.

I don't know what the baddie motive is for it. If you read my post more clearly you would see that I said that it doesn't make sense for you to think that way even as a recruiter. That is not why I think you could be bad. You do not sound sincere to me. It's that simple. Epig basically made the same argument about a different post from you and you kept trying to argue semantics with him over the content of the posts like you are with me right now.Golden wrote:Oh, then I'm sorry I didn't understand that a response to my question 'what is the baddie motive' was not you answering my question.

I didn't perceive the events through Epig's point of view. I read it differently that he did. I drew the parallel to his argument because they are similar. Just because I read the two situations differently, it doesn't mean I'm wrong.Golden wrote:Fine. I think you are not being sincere. You are wrong, but I feel way better about you than I do about epi. Having worked through your thought process, I can understand where things went wrong and I do not think it was any intent on your part to misrepresent.
On the other hand, I think you should read my posts again and recognise that my posts about epi were (and are) emotionally charged and that my primary meaning is that I don't think epi would be wanting me recruited to his team and I won't recruit him to mine, and for this reason it is no skin off my nose to see him lynched. I recognise this falls short of the 'certainty' I said yesterday. But lynching someone who is best case neutral who I don't think will ever be aligned with me makes sense to me.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 1)
I was over emotional yesterday. I am not today, even if I sound it. It may not help me to threaten to kill epi, but it helps others. No recruiter should be under any illusion and make the mistake of deliberately recruiting us both to the same team.Spacedaisy wrote:And golden, you sound extremely over emotional. I can't speak for anyone else. But I voted for him because he posted a list of the lowest 8 posters, and left off several of the actual lowest posters. Which seemed suspicious to me.DharmaHelper wrote:Can someone Cliff Notes what the fuck happened to give BWT the votes?
He was also in this thread for a while, after I had posted about it, and never commented (or even posted).
Others will have to say why they voted for him.

It rolled into town .... rolling rolling rolling ... keep them doggies rolling ..... rolling rolling rolling, bandwagon! Hopefully they caught the monster and not their neighbor.
Sometimes it's hard to say why people start waving the pitchforks & torches, they just do. BWT is a fairly easy Day One lynch. He doesn't have much of a filter (or he didn't used to, I forget what game but he surprised the crap out of me when he flipped bad) and he isn't around much to defend. Perhaps people who spend a lot of time on the internet don't like people with an active social life

Linki, there are a lot of pointless comments going on, get used to it Wilgy, friend of Unfurl & MM. Although i am curious about why those specific people seem genuine enough to rate a remark.

True. If I miss a vote, I generally remark about who I WOULD have voted for, not who I WOULDN'T. It at least creates a point of analysis for people. So I m missing the point of her post myself, tbh.DrWilgy wrote:Hmm... I'm trying to get used to it, but this one stands out to me. Immediately, no one benefits from this comment other than Tiny. Yea. It was totally not intentional awesome. Like everything, my funny is usually due to some dumb nub thing. I was just REALLY tired and looking at the clock vs when I had to wake up and trying to skim read those last few pages before then.Tranq wrote:Still catching up, but i had to pause at this post:

I'm currently unsure of which is more user friendly - collecting all my thoughts in one long post with no quotes or posting like 1000 times as I catch up. I welcome suggestions but doubt I will see them till I get to the end of this. I'm so far behind I don't know how teefies flipped yet.
A couple OT things I wanted to mention while I'm posting:
Devin - I think maybe daisy's new title should be "Her Royal Highness." It's one I prefer anyway.
