Re: A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder - Day 2
In case it's me I'll leave y'all with my final thoughts.
Sorsha, Golden, Greybonez, and Metalmarsh are my suspects. I think the three baddies are in that group. Daisy is a wildcard because she's barely been playing and that worked out well for her in Death Note. I doubt Lacey is bad. I feel good about Elohcin and Llama. If Roxy is a civvie I hope she gets her head in the game.
If Golden wanted to know what my thoughts were instead of calling my gameplay meaningless, he would have just asked what my thoughts were. Instead he created a narrative where I didn't want to share my thoughts. He also heavily telegraphed a vote for Lacey today that I think would have happened if I, ironically, hadn't called him out on it. The civ-Golden I know doesn't push to lynch inactives on Day 2 in a speed game where we have maybe 3 mislynches at our disposal (and a replacement/modkill system is in place).
I'm looking forward to getting mislynched, that way I can question people and probe for reactions as a civvie in future games without baddies scrutinizing my every move

I broke the tie.voted MM. Frankly, I don't see why Rox should be voted. So it was down to TH or MM. I have not felt like the recent posts from TH seemed bad. Also, sorry I'm not more invested yet, kind of involved in the late stages of Recruitment.

Day 2 - A Major Disaster
The bloodthirsty mob chased MM and TH into the weightlifting hall. They began assaulting both, but a group of lynchers finally beat TH to death with his own weights.
TH has been lynched. He was Major Bartholomew D'Ysquith. It is now night, you have twenty-THREE hours to get your PMs in (it's late, I'm tired, and I'm trying to get the times back to a reasonable hour).

RIP TH. I dont really understand why people voted you.
I'm also slightly perturbed that Llama and greyboneZ only received one vote each. MM I can get behind, but I'm sticking with my opinion that if greyboneZ flips bad, so does llama. It just fits.
I don't know if Llama slipped in his wording or not, but I can assure him that my "coming after" him is definitely self motivated, since I am not on a "team" (according to his definition of a civ). I want a civ victory here and for some reason we're lynching the wrong ones.

Funny you never once even mentioned TH and now you say you don't see why he was voted for. If you felt that way why didn't you say something? You were here until about a half hour before lynch end and had plenty of time to say - ANYTHING - but you didn't . As a matter of fact you did not provide one suspicion yesterday unless you count your vote for me bc "I've never seen her play like this" - which I do not consider a suspicion bc you do not say how or provide one quote.
My suspicions as follows in order
Eloh
Golden
Sorsha and if there is one more dk who it is.

You want quotes from me, but you didn't offer them when you were making a case for Golden.
You never elaborated or provided any quotes, by the way. Please don't hold me to something you do not uphold yourself.Roxy wrote:
But Golden is most suspicious to me bc of the way he posted along with the tone of his posts.
I will elaborate when dawn arrives.
These three quotes were the ones that disturbed me the most about you. Your whole tone here sounds arrogantly argumentative which does NOT scream helpful civ at all.
Roxy wrote:But you clearly posted "My Team". And then go on to say that you do not "consider civ's a team per se"
Which is it?
Roxy wrote:And also if you have a "my team" you, yourself, say that you use team to imple btsc.
Ergo you have btsc.
Then, your tone in your reaction to my vote sounds wildly irrational.Roxy wrote:I do not want to play if people are doing shit just to piss each off tbh.

None of my questions are rhetorical. I am not arrogant but may be argumentative bc people were literally voting just to piss people off. For me it makes the game not fun and I get a bit defensive when people act like they have this game.
Maybe you do not offer defense for those you think are civ and being wrongly accused inre: TH - I do
So you also thought llama may have slipped but then laughed it off. For me it was a legit suspicion. If I sounded irrational then you did too. The only difference is you laughed off your suspicion where as I stand by mine.
My tone was wildly irrational? Oh ok whatever, I really hate it when people vote but give no reasoning nor do they provide anything to defend against - like say your vote for me. Your vote was wildly irrational especially since you linked it to your day 1 reason which was entirely to "piss me off". You called the thunder now that you have my attention you say I am irrational and use your buzz words to make it seem like I am something I am not.
Arrogantly argumentative? Wildly irrational? What other adverbs are you going to toss my way next baddie Elo?
I never made the case against Golden bc I am being a helpful civ and making one on you. I pulled quotes and asked questions. If you want to see a case against Golden make it yourself with your adverb catalog.
Your defensive response has only served to make you more suspicious in my

I didn't all your posts on the llama "slip" irrational, I just said they were arrogantly argumentative. I called your tone in your response to my vote wildly irrational, that was all.

I didn't vote you day 1 to piss you off. I am not that kind of person or player. I voted you Day 1 b/c you were arrogantly argumentative. I will vote you again Day 3 if you continue to mbe argumentative and not provide explanation and quotes for your suspicions when you have asked that I do the same.

I have said all I need to about your posts atm

Now this doesn't even fit the time frame correctly. YOu said you would make a case for Golden when the day began. You did not do that. It is now more than 24 hours later and you still have not made a case for golden like you said you would. You cannot use making a case for me (which you have yet to do by the way) as your excuse for not doing something you said you would do more than 24 hours ago.
Your defensive response has only served to make you more suspicious in my![]()
I would not call my response defensive at all. I am calm, cool, and collected. You are the one getting emotional.

Turnip Head expressed much wisdom here. May he rest in peace. I am happy to consider a Metalmarsh lynch tomorrow.Turnip Head wrote:Sorry guys I haven't had any time for mafia today. Going into today I expected to vote for Golden but after sleeping on it and seeing his recent posts I think his suspicion of me is genuine - and this was one of my problems with him, I didn't feel like his suspicions/opinions were genuine. I'll look into him more tomorrow and respond to some of his observations about me and talk about what some of my concerns were, but I'm tabling my suspicion of him for now.
I'm voting Metalmarsh... again, but this time it's FOR REAL. I'm okay with Elo's observation about Llama, I think it was a "slip" worth bringing up and looking into... it's Metalmarsh's harping on the slip that I take issue with. His first post towards Llama is fine, his second reiteration of the point looks like someone trying to be opportunistic about a poor choice of words. It's something I expect more from baddie Marsh than a civvie one.
I also think Greybonez's vote and explanation is suspicious as hell but I don't know him well enough to decide if it's disingenuous and I don't have time to look into it.

According to you, my suspicion of you was not stated clearly enough. And according to you, I needed quotes. Well, I have now done that. You, however, claimed a suspicion, recognized it was not explained in enough detail, and promised to give more details yesterday morning. But, you never did it. You should follow through. And, if you cannot follow through, then that is another reason I suspect you. I sill believe that throwing names out there just to gauge reaction can be a baddie tactic. If you have nothing on him, why bring him up. Also, with you suspicion of me, you have yet to give any back-up. You just keep saying that I am bad. I think you are just pissed that I have found you out.Roxy wrote:Roxy wrote:I take back the part wwhere yu voted just to piss me off - I was wrong and canadmit when I am.

Nah, I already find you suspicious for reasons I previously stated, Eloh. And I don't think Roxy is bad. At least currently.

I am enjoying the back-and-forth, and I want to see if it produces anything I deem suspicious. I am thinking on a few of the things roxy said.Elohcin wrote:Does no one else want to weigh in on this conversation between Roxy and me? Re: A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder - Day 2
Night 2 - Why Are All the D'Ysquith's...Not Dying?
Monty Navarro stalked the grounds, searching for another family member to off.
"Soon they will all regret their fiendish actions, their cruel rejection of my mother!" he declared. "Soon, I will be earl, and all will respect and admire me for the gentleman I am! And Sibella...oh, Sibella will adore me, rather than that dull Lionel dolt. But how can I keep her affection until my gruesome deeds are done? Oh, what woe! What heartache! What..."
He just went on like this until morning. Most of the D'Ysquiths had a good night's rest.
However, at dawn, Sorsha stepped out for a quick walk around the grounds and found Monty soliloquizing in the conservatory. Without missing a beat, Monty pulled her into a Venus Flytrap, which promptly spat her back out. Monty grabbed a nearby hose and tried to strangle her, but the Flytrap attacked him instead, allowing Sorsha to escape.
It is now day 3. Nobody has been killed. You have 24 hours to lynch someone.

Glad you survived Sorsha. I already felt good about you, but it's good confirmation.
I have been watching the Roxy/Eloh thing with interest, and could see scenarios where either one of them is bad. I have been very busy today and without time to post, but I will post more about what I'm seeing in this when I get home tonight. There are some things about both of them that read as opportunistic to me. Actually, I think there is a lot of opportunism going on in this game.

Re: A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder - Day 2
So, my thoughts on Roxy.
Her getting emotional and frustrated is always real. Even when she is bad, I don't think Roxy fakes frustration or any of the emotional stuff. However, she never lets it stop her from playing the game to the best of her ability and I do not assume she must be good just because her frustration is real - I've seen it from the side of being bad.
I have seen Roxy play like this, except one thing. I have never seen Roxy self-vote. That one is kind of odd. But I wonder if it has specifically to do with her relationship with llama. I understand completely when Roxy says she and llama are completely different in style and don't see eye to eye, because there are people whose style is literally polar opposite to me too. And I can understand why deep frustration like that could get you to self-vote.
Now the thing about Roxy that I thought was opportunistic was her suspect list... her top one was Eloh who is going after her and then the next two are straight from TH's legacy list (includes me), but having said that Roxy already expressed suspicion of me before, so suspecting me is consistent. (Roxy, its up to you to elaborate and I see you are more after Eloh right now - but I would like the chance to defend what about me you think looks bad).
Roxy reads frustrated and rational to me right now, and that feels civ - except that I've seen that from Roxy when she is bad as well. So, I keep that in mind.
~
Eloh, on the other hand, really is playing different to what I've seen from her. Her choice of words in describing Roxy seems quite aggressive. Going after Roxy so hard in the circumstances also seems opportunistic, especially when Roxy is already frustrated. I think Eloh would also fail epi's adverb test, as Roxy has pointed out, some of the things Eloh have said feel to me like they could be designed to get Roxy voted out.
So right now, having reviewed all of that...
I think Eloh is bad and Roxy is civ. I'll probably vote Eloh today, but I want to see what others come up with.

I also still feel like greybonez day one vote may have been a newbie mafia mistake and it's hard for me to let that fly under the radar day after day.

I'm voting llama today because I don't believe a word that comes out of that mustache.
