Why did banana and Luke both rush to comment on my Floyd post? I find that really strange.

Two posts. One is an introduction and the other is echoing what others had already said with nothing original to add. Out of the other minimal posters, nutella seems the worst to me at the moment. But like I said, there really isn't anything so far I find that suspicious, so it's more of a pressure vote than anything else. Re: Mafia: A World Reborn Game Thread - Night 0
I don't plan to pursue this further than I already have, but I think of it this way. There are 15 civilian roles in this game, which means everyone has a 50% chance of getting a civvie role. If we assume that Bullz was one of the three players who had inside info on the poll, then there's only a 33% chance that he's civvie and a 67% chance that he's non-civ, which means he would be less likely to be civ than anyone else. I was pushing Bullz to see how I felt about him in relation to those possibilities.Dom wrote:But that makes it equally likely that Bullz is civ or bad.... that's why I don't understand why you seemed to imply it makes Bullz worth voting for.Turnip Head wrote:...and three players were told that voting Prog would get them off the poll, one civ, one baddie, and one independent. I don't understand what you're looking for me to say here.
Re: Mafia: A World Reborn Game Thread - Day 1
In case anyone is interested (without having to go check the polls thread), voters of Progressive include:
Metalmarsh, Bullzeye, Floyd, SVS, Epig, BWT
If one baddie was told this would remove them from the lynch poll, I'm willing to bet he told his team. Unless LC barred such action?
Do we suppose the civ, Mafia, and indy were told that Long Con would tell the town that "one civ, Mafia, and Indy knew at the outset?" or did our host keep that info to himself when letting these players know?

Count birdwithteeth in this category as well. No idea about Bullzeye. Floyd's name implies that he is. Re: Mafia: A World Reborn Game Thread - Day 1
I'd also say that... being taken off the poll is not really friendly towards any one particular faction, the way that often different options are when each faction has a person with info on the poll. Do we know people had info or are we theorising? Should we assume that, if someone had info that prog would take you off the poll, that person would be bad?
Re: Mafia: A World Reborn Game Thread - Day 1
Well, we know three players had info. Whether any of those players are the ones who actually voted Progressive in the poll is unknown, so I suppose we're theorizing if any of the six players who voted progressive were also the players who were given info.Golden wrote:I'd also say that... being taken off the poll is not really friendly towards any one particular faction, the way that often different options are when each faction has a person with info on the poll. If we are to assume that yes, those three players did vote Prog because of the info given, then no, there would be a 1/6 chance that one of the players are bad, 1/6 good, and 1/6 indy. Not all bad.
I'm tired, I dunno if that made any sense.

Being off the poll Day 1 is hardly a prize worth exposing your team over.
Also, please note the wording:
Don't wrack your brain over this. I don't think it will get you any place.

This means there were other possible outcomes.Long Con wrote:Day 1 has begun. You will be getting a PM about your new location (if you moved) within the next hour or so.

Re: Mafia: A World Reborn Game Thread - Day 1
I see I've already gotten a vote for not being around much. I'm just now checking in, I am having quite a busy week.
I think that Bullz is, or is one of the teammates of, one of the people who got info. That means that I think there is more than 1/3 chance that he is bad because I think it is likely that the baddie who got info told their teammates. As Epi points out I find it unlikely that all of the team members would vote for it, I wouldn't doubt that a couple of them would, and that there is therefore a greater chance that Bullz is on a baddie team than that he is a civ or indie.
Unfortunately, of course, I can't vote for him. So I'll have to resort to other Day 1 crap. Like maybe the Mac/Matt thing, but as I already said I think that both of them are fucking around uselessly and I'm kind of indifferent to both.

It's not the presence of humor but rather the lack of a decent response that might be the issue, Epi.
