I ask because I'm kind of confuzzled as to where you stand with Golden now regarding his alignment. If I'm reading this correctly, (and knowing me I'm not haha!), it seems like now you are saying he is scum, but you will wait until "the time is right" to get him, but not do it now for "the town's sake". And if that's what I'm reading, then I will have to quote you and say...

Linki - FZ - How am I being unhelpful?
It's not that you're doing anything bad, it's that you're not doing enough.
You're not really involved in the game. This is the first question you've asked in a while. You didn't like Mac's policy shtick, but I hear you've gotten over it in the other game, so I'm expecting you to be more active like I saw you be in TH while I was alive.

The last post is a good start :)

Question - Was I reading that wrong? Or did I correctly describe what seems to be Zebra's current stance on Golden, re: "You are scum. I will get you when the time is right but not now for the town's sake." I know it wasn't formatted in a sentence that way, but that's how I took it. Am I incorrect or did you view it the same way?

If I get the meaning behind what she said, I think that most people view Golden as a civ at the moment, and she's said everything she could about the topic last day, so no point in bringing it all up again, because she's right at least about one thing: we were tired of that fight. So she's hoping other people start going after him, because we just view her opinion as being tunnelled or something.

Don't know if that's what she meant, but that's how my brain interpreted it.

Okay, that makes it sound a lot better then the way I was describing it. Haha! I'd still like to hear from her, though.

I know it's not popular to roll the way I do (and for serious, after Mac's outburst, I've thought about what he's said as a legitimate concern and will try to slow my role when I feel I'm gettin' too excited for a case), but I think that simply dropping a case on someone you truly feel is bad...is not helpful. That's why I questioned Golden earlier about him saying he would drop his case if it didn't take off Day 1, and why I'm questioning Zebra on it now. It doesn't mean you have to post a million posts as I have in the past when zeroing in on someone, but to drop it altogether seems odd to me.

After several players (three!!! I think?) commented on their fight as "civ on civ", I am inclined to trust their input (or as someone else claimed earlier, one of those several players is bad and knows it was civ on civ) and so I believe we have a civvie Golden atm.

Anyway, tired. Peace

It's funny, you know. When Gurney was revealed you didn't seem too "gobsmacked", as you said you would be. But that's a ballgame I don't feel like starting anytime soon.
Why not? I thought his reaction was very underwhelming, too. Further thoughts?

Welcome back, btw :)

This makes so little sense that it actually makes anti-sense.

linki - :ponder:
Lemme put it like this:

You rock up at an election, where the voting ends in one minute. You have little idea on the candidates' promises, and you panic. You know a couple of candidates will get a majority of the votes, but you find that voting for one of them will lead to something bad (in this case, lynching a civillal). You spot a name you're vaguely familiar with, who you're almost certain won't be voted on. You think, what the heck?

In other words, what everyone does at the Australian voting ballots.
It sounds like you're saying you knew that something bad was going to happen regardless of who was lynched. If you're a baddie, that would mean that you knew either a civ or a teammate was going to be lynched, and you just wanted to detach yourself from the situation entirely. (Distance is probably a better term to use there). Anyways, this part of your explanation makes you look worse, imo.

And the self voters did not want to vote for a teammate, and they did not want to be the tie breaker final vote on a civ. I have done similar things when bad, tangent voting, and self voting is a tangent vote.

I could totally be wrong, but that was how it struck me at the time.
And I get why it struck you that way.

I really really do.

I can't speak for floyd like at all. He's new and cute and totes my puppy but not my teammate this game.

but in my particular case - can you see where I would be coming from as a civ?

As well as you know me. As well as you know my RL and also now there is family stuff....

And as well you know my baddie side. You know how quick I am to chuck a teammate under the buss. Do you really think in the midnight last 3 minutes of the lynch - if I were bad - I would have waited for permission to buss a teammate or not for cred if I were bad? And have voted the way I did if I were bad knowing I could chuck a teammate under the bus for cred if they were a lynch leader??

I'm asking you SVS - I don't care about other people's opinions righ now. Your post convinced me we are on the same side. I care what you think of me.
Bea I have to catch up here & elsewhere, and RL as well (I am 3 days behind on most of my Words with Friends and the nudges are getting nudgier ha ha) and want to read you in isolation. You sound very sincere, and I want to believe you.

Also, I know you would throw people under the bus in a heartbeat. My meaning was not that so much as you would be leery of bussing a partner in that way, as you might take more suspish for that than for tangent voting. Also I don't know about you, but i have been in chatrooms where the person on the hot seat was begging not to be bussed, or where the person on the hot seats power was so awesome that it was worth risking others to save them.

Night 1
Image
With the death of beloved Gurney Halleck, the guests of the Arteides palace, you became afraid and hid yourselves in your guest rooms.

However, some of you had rather reddish plans in mind, and you did not delay in acting upon those.

Employing the remote-controlled hunter-seeker, one of you slipped into Black Rock’s chambers, and, finding her preparing for bed, punctured her skin with a lethal poison. She was not discovered until the next morning.

Black Rock has been killed by House Harkonnen.

It is now Day 2. You have 48 hours to lynch someone.

Yesterday, I thought TH would be a good candidate for zebra's teammate. I haven't gone back to reexamine what I would think knowing zebra was good, but my first thought was that it made me feel better about him.

Drac the omniscient is one of my four major suspects right now - Drac, sig, bea, floyd.

I have a blind spot in the sense that I feel my case on zebra was really good so I have difficulty seeing someone as bad for agreeing. I felt like Eloh seemed genuine. But I also recognise that agreeing with a case I make is an easy enough place for a baddie to hide.

So... I feel good about Eloh, but I think this is one where I need to listen, but I also want to get a better sense of what it is in particular that you think feels off about Eloh.

She had very little suspicion of me and mainly voted because of my item, which was the same item she had. I will say this my item can't kill so I'm surprised she used this reasoning.
Golden wrote:The obvious answer is sig.

Know I want to address this I don't have much experience as a member of the mafia team only about 4 games, but I assume Golden is saying I killed BK since she voted me? I doubt she would have kept that vote and tunneled me and unless my supposed teammates are noobs why would they let me kill BK? If anything the mafia killed BK to try and get me lynched. I don't like how this Golden's first post is this especially after defending me and my playstyle day 1. I could believe that Golden ordered this kill in an attempt to frame me.

You also said you trusted bea's post why is she on your list?
Know Draconus I don't have an opinion on him but I see he voted for me does this factor in to your suspicion of me?

Golden's post pinged me I don't like how he is suspicious of me especially after his day 1 comments on me because of the BK kill, as I said I think the mafia killed BK in an attempt to set me up for an easy day 2 lynch.

You seem to be very aware of the implications of Golden's first statement, yet entirely ignorant of the implications of his second statement (question, I should say). I don't like that.

Also, your suspicion of Golden is apparently because you think that he flip-flopped on you, yet your flip-flop on him is much more apparent and much less warranted. Are his hypocritical "pings" rubbing off on you?

I ask because I'm kind of confuzzled as to where you stand with Golden now regarding his alignment. If I'm reading this correctly, (and knowing me I'm not haha!), it seems like now you are saying he is scum, but you will wait until "the time is right" to get him, but not do it now for "the town's sake".
FZ. wrote:If I get the meaning behind what she said, I think that most people view Golden as a civ at the moment, and she's said everything she could about the topic last day, so no point in bringing it all up again, because she's right at least about one thing: we were tired of that fight. So she's hoping other people start going after him, because we just view her opinion as being tunnelled or something.

Don't know if that's what she meant, but that's how my brain interpreted it.

The entire reason I'm not continuing my crusade against Golden is because people won't read my posts, and that reason is re-affirmed by people not even reading my posts enough to understand that that is my reason. If you want to know what my issues with Golden are, go back and read what you should have already read. I am one hundred and nineteen percent done repeating myself for the sake of a frankly lazy town.

I saw the second portion yes, but he followed that post up with naming me one of his top four suspicious reads. True I may have slightly over reacted. I am reading his posts as an attempt to lay the groundworks for my lynch either later this phase or next phase so I'll respond. Know I did flip flop I thought he was civ, but his posts this phase especially the ones directed at me is enough for me to have a ping on him.

Well, I think people do read your posts. At least I hope they do. I was reading one of your last posts towards Golden, and I was just trying to understand it is all.

Also, per the underline, if you don't think people are reading your posts and that is why you will no longer crusade against Golden, then what is the point in making any cases at all...if you truly believe people don't read your posts?

I dunno, it strikes me as funny is all. Then again, at this point, I'm not sure if you still have bad vibes about Golden, but I suppose I'll take FZ's answer.

My last post was quite harsh so just know that it isn't directed at anyone in particular, just town as a whole. I just don't want to get mislynched again because people will only listen to one side of an argument.

ANYONE could have ordered that kill to frame you. Or you could have done it. The options are open as far as I'm concerned.

What made me flip my view on you was not Black Rock's death. It was Black Rock's vote and her explanation for it. BR's death has me reconsidering that opinion.

You may also note that yesterday when Mac asked me what I thought of you, I did defend your playstyle but I also said I'd feel ok with you being lynched, that you had done suspicious things.

I don't think you got mislynched because people will only listen to one side of an argument.

I wasn't that persuasive... only two people followed me, and I think it's entirely likely that at least one of them is bad and followed me because it was easy. I don't think people trusted my opinion any more than yours.

I'm feeling pretty good about zebra 2.0

@sig - you have said your item can't kill, but are you able to confirm whether your item has any benefit to you at all? Can you confirm whether or not you if BR got the same outcome you did?

Welp, rest in peace BR.

I'm looking at Floyd and Blooper right now. I think Dracondevin made an astute observation about Floyd's vote and subsequent explanation so I want to hear Floyd's response. And I think Blooper is doing that pop-in pop-out thing where she just comments on the thread goings-on and scrams. Her zebra vote didn't feel genuine to me.

Floyd scumslipped about six times just like this in the TH game so I am not doubting that this is another one.

What do you think of Drac and Turnip? Just like, in general and stuff.

We share reads on every one of them.

While I agree with the sentiment this post could have the motivation of setting up a mislynch. Intriguing post.

I did too Zebra. At length. I doubt anybody read your posts as carefully as I did including Golden. I still thought his points were quite poignant. In light of your lynch they clearly were misinterpreted. I do think there are many town players in this game that did not read your posts, and many that did not read any posts in general.

I would be thrilled with a Floyd or Sig lynch today.

When I voted I only had one minute left. How on Earth am I supposed to throughly re-read the thread to decide who's scum when there's so little time? If you were in my position, would you make the same decision?

If I was in your position I would most certainly not make the same decision. I am moderately proud to say I have never self-voted in my entire mafia career, no matter how clueless I was. Here's why: You know you're civilian, (or you know that you're not) so any guess no matter how unwarranted would be better than voting for yourself. I know not everyone agrees with this logic which is why I was more discouraged by the fact that you self-voted immediately after bea did than the fact that you self-voted in itself, but your defense of why you self-voted looked even worse, and like Mac said, I really wouldn't be surprised if it is in fact a scumslip. I'm not too eager to pounce on that conclusion but I am beginning to see it as likely, given the way you're reacting here.

And Mac, regarding my lurker-oriented post, whose mislynch am I setting up?

Not saying you are, saying you could be, and it would be of an unnamed low content player at this stage. It's not a major ping. Just caught my eye.
