RIP Jorhan...should have stuck with my instinct that your lynch felt more like an out of control bandwagon...but the case did sound solid. Ugh.

I think I'll vote for the glass slipper, for no other reason than preference. I like the sound of that one best.

I believe the glass slipper is the wisest choice.
In "What Happened Next?," all four of the questions indicated actions involving feet:
1. Standing
2. Hiking
3. Hopping
4. Footwork
That, and I kind of have a thing for shoes...

I am going with the slipper as well, because candy usually leads to falling into peril. Pea woud have been ok too, I just think slipper sounds more interesting.

Ugh, that didn't go well at all. RIP, Jorhan. We really need to get a baddie next time, especially if (was it Bac's?) theory about another, secret baddie team was right. The problem is that lynch yielded next to no useful information, being so unanimous.
I definitely feel back at square one. My case against Bronwyn and Queran seems very flimsy now. I'll need to reexamine the thread, but it'll have to wait until morning when I have more energy.
I'm going to go with peas, because they're chock full o' vitamins (or so I'm told).

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 2
One of the people I'll be looking at tomorrow is Lyel. He was one of the people I was considering voting for on Day 1, and his early Day 1 vote for Jorhan makes me more suspicious of him, considering who Jorhan turned out to be.
Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 2
Dilan what did you see or do you see about Lyel besides the early vote for Jorhan that makes you suspicious?
Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 2
Partially his quietness. Partially a hunch. Mafia members have less incentive to pay close attention to the thread and conduct careful analysis, since they already know who is bad and who is good. I had three or four names in mind on day one, and his vote for Jorhan makes him look worse.Bronwyn Mightyfeet wrote:Dilan what did you see or do you see about Lyel besides the early vote for Jorhan that makes you suspicious?

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 3
A wolf and fox are living together where the fox, being the weaker of the two, is forced to do all the hard work for the wolf. One day the wolf makes the fox get him something to eat, and the fox says he knows where there are a couple of lambs. The fox steals a lamb for the wolf, but not content with just one, the wolf goes back for the other, is caught by the farmer's men, and severely beaten.
The next day the wolf again makes the fox get him some food. The fox says he knows of a farm where a woman is baking pancakes, and steals some for the wolf. Wanting more, the wolf goes to the farm on his own, but causes a commotion, getting the woman's attention, and is again severely beaten.
Some time later the wolf again makes the fox get food. The fox says he knows of a farmer's cellar where meat is being stored, and leads the wolf to the cellar. The wolf gobbles up the meat while the fox also takes some but keeps checking to make sure he can still get out the way he came in. The fox's constant scurrying gets the attention of the farmer, who goes to investigate. The fox is able to escape, but the wolf has eaten so much that he can't get out, and is eventually caught and killed by the farmer.
Dilan Bluemoss and Gaerwen Gleaminggrace have been Killed. You have 48 hours to find the killer.
The poll will end Tues at 7 PM EST.
Thank-you for playing Dilan and Gaerwen!

I felt pretty OK about Dilan, and only recall that Gaerwen was skeptical of Laine, iirc. So starting from scratch, going back to the posts of the dead is a good way to start. Go to Your Own Gods if you were Righteous Folk, and go to the Demons of Others if you were not.

I was actually hoping Carmen could respond to this when she gets some time. I found it a bit odd as well.Miyuki Lovelymoth wrote:Why do you say this? You never actually expressed any doubts against him, did you?Carmen Brightsun wrote:RIP Jorhan. I really thought we had this one right :/
RIPIYWG, Dilan and Gaerwen. I was leaning civ on Dilan and a little bit civ on Gaerwen as well. I figure looking at the people they were suspicious of is a good place to start as any. Dilan mentioned Lyel right before he was killed. I'm not sure what to make of that just yet. It's true that lyel hasn't been super involved yet, citing illness and tough times. I suppose the kill could have either been to protect lyel if he were bad or frame him if he were good, or be unrelated.
Gaerwen had mentioned Carmen a while back, and I think that kill has more potential to be a silencing kill. Her points about Carmen happened long enough ago that baddies may have thought it wouldn't put undue suspicion on Carmen to kill Gaerwen. I could be biased here, because I'm not crazy about Carmen's voting record (she's one of 4 to have voted 2 confirmed civs the first 2 lynches), but I do think some inconsistencies crop up in her posts. On my phone and can't quote them all, but I'd be interested to hear more thoughts on her.
I also wanted to hear people's thoughts on Laine. He never expressed much opinion on the Jorhan lynch but seemed happy enough to vote him, and I don't think he's contributed much to the thread since Day 1, having spent most of his posts since then defending the reasons he gave on Day 1

I also want to encourage certain people to post more! I looked at the list, and I have basically no opinion in almost everyone with 10 posts or fewer (Finnian and below). Especially for the civs among you, the more thoughts we get the better chance we have of finding baddies.
Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 3
Hmm, so two deaths. Either the big bad wold found riding hood, or the "free thinkers" killed someone.
I'll be looking at Laine today. I stand by my Day 1 hunch.
As for the last lynch, the vote order was a good lead, it's too bad it led us astray.

Gobnait, I have appreciated the time and effort you have put into your posts. I have you in my townie column because of your efforts to reason through the statements made by others. You don't sound like someone who is making insincere conclusions.
Currently, I am studying the posts of each player in the game, and especially the deceased. I may be low in posts, but not in attentiveness. It's my hope that we will find enough evidence to lynch a Mafian today, and have enough votes on that person to prevent Rumplestiltskin from tampering with our consensus.
Who do you find most suspicious at this point?

Thanks, Miyuki. Always nice to be appreciated. Just to be clear, I wasn't saying all low posters have been unhelpful. Though your posts have been few I've found them insightful.Miyuki Lovelymoth wrote:Gobnait, I have appreciated the time and effort you have put into your posts. Who do you find most suspicious at this point?
As to who I'm looking at (besides Queran, on whom I need a better case), I don't have one clear leading suspect. For my sake if no one else's, I think we need as much discussion as possible today. I'm scared of another bandwagon lynch that gives us no information afterward.
Is it true what you said about Carmen bringing up the Jorhan suspicion? If so she's looking worse and worse to me. Why vote Caillic and then turn and lynch the player people thought you were protecting? It just strikes me as off.
My initial gut read on Laine was civ. I admit that I could be wrong on that, as it is only gut and nothing concrete, but I'm scared that if a bandwagon develops it could be on him.
I also think that now is about when I'm ok looking at low posters, especially since we haven't found a baddie. It's possible some are lying low, which is partly why I want to hear more from the lower posters. I'm going to take some time now to read over them now, as I have a read of some type on most top posters.
By the way, can anyone translate Bac's Korean or Japanese? Sorry to see you're insanified

Wow, excellent work on the chart again, Shand! Very useful. I hadn't thought of your and Bac's voting records being so bad (no offense). And can Finnian explain why he's missed both polls? Obviously it hurts him more than us if he loses his NP for missing, but it's still curious
And I forgot to say in my last post: Laine, who do you find suspicious? I'm curious to hear what you think.
And I forgot to say in my last post: Laine, who do you find suspicious? I'm curious to hear what you think.
Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 3
No offense taken Gobnait. My voting record has indeed been far from satisfactory. I can only assure you of my sincerest efforts to turn things around, hopefully starting today. Considering that Caillic was a day one lynch, and that so many of us misread Jorhan, I don't know how useful the voting chart is at this stage in the game. I just want the mafia to know that we are on top of things in terms of documentation, and hopefully as the chart grows with each passing day, patterns will emerge, and it will find more utility.
I have been very busy at work for the past day or two, and haven't got the time to re-read all posts, but I intend to do that soon. For now, I wanted to reiterate your call for low-posting townies to post more in the thread. I, for one, think it best to restart with a clean slate, and I intend to go through the thread again with an open mind. I have no real suspects at this point.

This post of Carmen's sounded like she had some trust for Jorhan. The next day, she easily threw a vote on Jorhan, but maybe to clear up doubts about herself, for having been in with the Caillic voters. I am reserving judgement on her for the time being, simply because I'm not sure where she's coming from.Carmen Brightsun wrote:These "random" votes for Jorhan don't sit right with me. This makes me think Jorhan is likely good. And because I'm beginning to trust Shand, I am going to vote for Caillic Lustroushair.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 3
I agree that we need to hear more from her to know what she's thinking. The idea that she voted Jorhan to clear herself is a clever one.
I've reread most of the posters in the 10-15 post range now. My impressions are far from set in stone, especially with so little to go on, but I thought I'd share anyway.
I don't know what to make of Mainchin yet. His table switch on Day 1 seemed suspect to me (who had incentive to switch? Only baddies, to change their team distribution. All tables were full, and we didn't know what would happen regarding the vote, so there was no reason for a civ to switch). He hasn't said anything super pingy since then though, in my opinion.
Rhinfrew has seemed pretty helpful, and I'm also reading kind of civ on Ameerah, Izett, and Euro Livin' at this point. With a very low degree of certainty, as I said.
I feel less good about Finnian, who has put forward no game-related ideas in any form so far. I'm very torn on Fane, who says he's new, and Lyel, who cited rl reasons for low participation. My thoughts on either of them would be pure guesswork
Does anyone else have a read on the players I mentioned that they'd like to share? I'm trying to generate discussion about players who haven't been discussed much so far

And Queran, what are your thoughts on today's lynch? I'm unlikely to believe you, but I saw that you were on and am curious about what you have to say
Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 3
I have the same concerns about Finnian for much the same reason. He has added absolutely nothing to the discussion and he hasn't voted either time. I saw him here during this last vote so it wasn't that he got tied up in something real life - he was here and could have voted. Fane does sound very new and Lyel sounded genuine to me about his rl activities so I tend to want to give them both the botd this round.Gobnait Gingeruite wrote:I agree that we need to hear more from her to know what she's thinking.
I need to re-read the thread to get a better read on some of the more active players but I am concerned that it is the active players who are getting the negative attention because they are speaking.
Gobnait, could you share what you are still seeing about Queran? I thought the suspicion was based on her vote for Caillic in that it was supposedly saving a bad Johran. Since that turned out to not be true I'm curious what you are seeing at this point.

I'm thinking of voting for you actually.Gobnait Gingeruite wrote:And Queran, what are your thoughts on today's lynch? I'm unlikely to believe you, but I saw that you were on and am curious about what you have to say
