RIP MM.
I'll PULL once.
I apologize for my absence, but I've been BEYOND swamped with studying and such. I won't be here until tomorrow about an hour before deadline at the earliest... I just spent my only free time I could allot to the talkative Tree Mafia game, and I spent more time there than I should have. I have an Econometrics II Final tomorrow and need to go back into crunch study mode.

Now I'm seven pages in and my first ping is against Savage, but I see that Savage was killed by the Empire, so that's probably wrong.

This is no way to hunt a likely fully in tact scum team. No vote pressure on anyone except Simon. Lots of gambling posts. No egg breaking. Empire can just come in vote Simon and leave, how are we supposed to flush them out if we just do that?

There is a lot of weirdness to the way some people are approaching Roxy and this post is an example of it.DFaraday wrote:I was going to vote Roxy, but I'd feel bad about it now that she posted about wanting to quit. So I went with Bubbles, since her vote for Zebra doesn't sit well with me, and I was still a bit suspicious of of her for her (in my view) self-promoting post about Matt way back.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 5]
Oh, so it is on me that we haven't caught the empire, is it, mac?
If we want to catch the bad guys, it must be done by me... no-one else can do it...
If you want to find the empire, I know that you are also plenty capable of supatown.
(My best guesses for members of the empire - glorfindel and eloh).
My primary effort goes to World Reborn because it is in end game, and all up, across everything I'm doing... I will not be as present as would be ideal from now until after Christmas. I am super busy. There is a reason I was the last man on to sign ups, and why I've said I won't be signing up for any more for a while.
BC tried to make out like my relative quietness was a sign of my baddiness. Go back and read my defence to that. It would serve you well now.
linki @Mac - not every egg needs to broken on the same day. Take RYM 87. Two baddie teams in that one. No hint of who the second baddie team was until the first one was gone. First day of looking for the new team... hole blown straight in the side. The point is, every day we lynch a baddie is a good day. I don't feel the need to bust my nut trying to find a baddie I'm not even going to lynch today.

One example where a civ team luckily parlayed the destruction of one team into another doesn't make it any less true that today a lot of civs are giving the Empire another free pass. We could have at least pressured some other players to create content to look back on.

And I don't disagree that someone could be creating pressure on people they suspect. It's just that this person can't be me... not right now. But there are lots of people I think can do it. You, matt, zebra, MP... even plenty of quieter players in this game are competent at building pressure on their suspects with a minimum of posts.

Elo care to respond to the points I made against you? And also to my questions since you have ignored them since the last lynch?
DFaraday - I am suspicious of you bc you are playing a game that I am not used to seeing from you. It is NOT blendy. Which troubles me greatly. You have provided original thoughts and suspicions which is so far out of the norm for you that I have this feeling about you. You are bad. Maybe indy but I feel its more likely that you are bad.

not true. you responded with overdefensiveness and anger. That is when I voted.

She ignored my answers to people wanting to know why I was suspiciousof them.
I did not. I said they were unreasonable.

My opinion was that it sounded like you were angry. I believe others agreed with me. SO I am not the only one that thought you came off that way.
You said "lack of voting" impling more than one.
I don't believe "lack of voting" implies more than one. It means that at some point you didn't vote. I mentioned this because you were getting all over someone else's case for not voting when you had missed a vote yourself.
Why not wait for a response? Why not respond to the odd things I pointed out about you?
Again, I did wait for your response. And what odd behavior? Please share examples as I have no idea what you are referring to

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 5]
Okay, I'm twenty pages in. Making good progress! Here are my suspicions thus far:
Golden: too laid back this game for me to feel like he's normal Golden.
Nijuukyugou: Admittedly, I usually suspect her. Just something about her style I guess. It seems too equivocating.
Zebra: His rainbow list pinged me, as it felt like an effort to get certain people off the hook by listing them as civ. I'm not sure why I didn't feel this way about other rainbow lists, but MP seems like normal, civ MP to me.
I do agree that Simon's initial eagerness to go after Fett was telling, but I'm not happy with the amount of people piling onto him today.

I would consider an Eloh vote today, as I'm having the usual uncontested bandwagon heebie-jeebies that I gat whenever there seems to be consensus in the thread. I definitely see and get the case against Simon...but I don't like the easy way this is going down. Even if we eventually DO decide to lunch Simon today, I don't think it's in our best interest to have it done and dusted at 10 in the morning... :s
So yeah. I'm with Mac on this one.

Sweet Christmas, I just can't win. I get lynched in 90% of the games I'm in for being blendy, and now I'm being suspected for having original thoughts?

Voted Simon. With the way the BC and Bass lynches went it certainly looks like he's a teammate. I see no problem with working towards that team's elimination if we can get rid of them early.

I accept now that the weight of evidence against Simon appears to be considerable. I have said previously however that I would not vote for him and for better or worse I will remain true to my word. I'm placing my vote this phase on someone I find highly suspicious for their actions towards the end of the last Day phase - Nijuukyugou

37 pages in. I'll finish before I vote.
That doesn't mean my hard-boiled egg is team empire.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 5]
So you agree that Simon looks very bad, but refuse to vote for him because.....principles? Gah. Dammit Glorfindel, I keep wanting not to suspect you because I'm worried that my suspicion of you is just because you're super nice and I'm a crabby bitch (see also: me suspecting Juliets in every game ever).....but then you do things like this and I'm back to thinking you're a baddie.Glorfindel wrote:I accept now that the weight of evidence against Simon appears to be considerable. I have said previously however that I would not vote for him and for better or worse I will remain true to my word. I'm placing my vote this phase on someone I find highly suspicious for their actions towards the end of the last Day phase - Nijuukyugou
More from me on this shortly...
Sigh.

Elochin: you know Simon better than any of us. How would you characterize his baddie game? What about his civ game? How would you describe the way he's playing here??

Also, I agree with llama that I think I'm beginning to detect baddie nibblejunkuku. I see her baddie game as detached, equivocating, and excessively casual (is that an oxymoron??), and her posts are starting to read that way to me. Something to keep an eye on...

I don't want to live in that universe.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 5]
Simon has been given less help this time around and he's taken it more into his own hands. He's been using his own tablet instead of one of our computers. He's been posting on his own. I think Simon is civ b/c his behavior doesn't seem directed at all. If he had BTSC, I doubt he would be breaking ties for the fun of it.Canucklehead wrote:Elochin: you know Simon better than any of us. How would you characterize his baddie game? Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

Thanks for this. I think your last point is actually pretty compelling.Elohcin wrote:Simon has been given less help this time around and he's taken it more into his own hands. Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 5]
I will be sad if Simon is not Team Hutt... well I'm sad for Simon either way, I wanted him to hang around longer. I always felt that my case was more indicative of enrique being bad and that simon might just have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. To break the tie in favour of a Hutt surviving twice would be very unlucky.
But, it is also very hard for me to ignore.

Stop voting for me.
I don't know why eight people are doing that. I thought I could break the tie.
I think a bad guy is someone who is nervous.
