Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 3]
ISO = isolatedsprityo wrote:If someone could tell me what ISO means so i can go look for whatever Mac is trying to say, that'd be great
An isolated look at one's posts. It can mean either the entire collection of a players posts, or it can be the observations of when another player looks at these posts and offers their feedback. In the second of these two possibilities, an objective approach is required to build a proper ISO. And ISO is not meant to be a case on someone's scuminess or whatever, but an overall look at their gameplay.
So sometimes you'll see ISO as a verb, and that refers to the second of these things I described.

I've survived so I'd kinda rather it not be that obvious on account of the scum maybe holding out hope I'll be lynched so they don't have to kill me.
Although there is very little chance of that happening now.

But at least it'll force them to use a kill on me rather than the town mislynching me. Which is a win in a way.

I didn't make it obvious at the time, but I did intentionally make the post a crumb. But in the context of me making a big deal out of there being a crumb I thought it would be quite easy to find but then as you pointed out I happened to make all those I'm Batman posts which kind of makes it less obvious.sprityo wrote:i'll take it as you actually didnt make it obvious as opposed to flopping around telling everyone that you totally did, just in hopes they wouldnt actually look or become too frustrated to look so that you get through the day, then on top of that having some sucker actually try and fail letting it fade away

I presume not as my silencing restricted me for not commenting during the last Day phase. I feel a little sorry for BR as despite the nature of their role, they sounded (in the end) like their heart was with us and I understand that - I've been there myself. Still, it's unarguably a better thing for us to have that role out of the way.Scotty wrote:Putting up the bat signal now- Matt, are you still iambic pantemeter? Glorf? Are you still Ball-gagged?

I'm sorry I missed the vote, hosts! I was watching old Scrubs episodes with my mom.
If I had been around, I would probably have voted for MP, for the reasons previously mentioned.
I think it's a net gain that Joker is gone, since if this game is even vaguely true to the spirit of the comics, there's no way Joker is civ-friendly.
I guess I'll go to Park Row and hope Joe Chill isn't around.

Observe...
She says "If there's one thing I do know about you Mac it's that you don't just go away.
" That looks like bea saying "Hey teamie, stop", especially with the wink.
I also strongly believe this post...
"...little time for posting.

Hrm.
After this, the conversation ends and never picks back up. Mac continues to "suss" bea but doesn't push her at all. Note what bea says to Mac before Mac says "Didn't I?" and the conversation ends forever...MacDougall wrote:Didn't I?bea wrote:If there's one thing I do know about you Mac it's that you don't just go away.MacDougall wrote:So you saw it but didn't comment ergo you ignored it?bea wrote:Nope. Matt the btsc theory at first glance had me beside myself with incredulity but that post really might be that.
I assure you though that I am not a scum partner of bea. I have remained suspect of her but with nothing specific that has been obvious enough for me to be distracted from all the defending I have been doing in case you didn't notice.
So if I am a partner of bea now. That makes me a partner of nero and bea. So one of us was recruited meaning we weren't on the team til last night. Explain.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 3]
I currently still believe, as I did earlier in the game, that bea has no BTSC. That is just about the ONLY thing I can say for sure re her, as I don't always read her intentions right. I tend to think she is bad when she is not more so than the other way around, though. But based on her posting patterns, I don't think she has a partner. Bea is a person who takes her responsibilities to others more importantly than her responsibilities to herself, or even the common good. When bea loses track of the thread or misses votes when she has partners, she feels that she let THEM down personally and is very upset by that kind of thing and takes not letting her partners down very, very seriously.Matt wrote:I'm currently investigating Mac and bea.Scotty wrote:What about you? Although I could still be with you re Mac. The fact that the "OMG ROLE HINT SO OBVIOUS" became, "Well, maybe it wasn't so obvious" once he wasn't lynched, lol. Screaming ROLE HINT in the last minutes of the lynch is a nice way to keep those uninformed last second drop in voters for voting for you.
So I am going to be rereading Mac, but I honestly think you are mistaken re bea.

Alternatively the actual fact which is that I intentionally left a crumb that I thought was easier to find than it actually is.S~V~S wrote:I currently still believe, as I did earlier in the game, that bea has no BTSC. So I am going to be rereading Mac, but I honestly think you are mistaken re bea.
How many cases have to be made against me that I can explain my actual thought process on clearly before you all realise I am actually a civilian?
In a perfect world:
Anti-town when case made against them of magnitude of TH's case = Zebra's response
Civilian = My response
Anti-town when case made against them = Ignorance, sarcastic responses, OMGUS
Civilian = Thoughtful explanations of how points have been misconstrued
I am giving you the perfect world scenario here. My defenses are what they should be as a civilian, as I am one.You can choose to let the prevailing meta of "shit play is civ" override the obviousness of my alignment if you wish.
I already responded to all Turnip Head's points. And Matt's one. The Joker/Riddler dichotomy that Bullzeye has presented is not alignment indicative. I can see how my suggestion that Matt is the Riddler is perceived hypocritical considering my dismissal of Joker theory (which I stand by) but I haven't heard anyone explain how it's mafia indicative to be hypocritical in that situation. The reason I feel one way on Matt and the other on Joker is because I don't feel like The Riddler making Riddles in the thread and subsequently making it obvious that he's The Riddler necessitates his lynch. The Riddler is nowhere near as malevolent a character as Joker is, nor has the same mystique. Him being obviously Riddler opens up a game path that is interesting... whether or not to trust Riddler. Long Con is co-host here and he created the Smirk character so he has a propensity for designing independent characters that behave chaotically in the thread.
If you want to vote/lynch me because you don't believe my defenses and think TH, Matt or Bullzeye's points are all good and my defense isn't adequate that's fine, I often do so myself, but next time could you please not ask me to defend myself as though I haven't when I already have, far more thoroughly than most bother to.
I am holding out hope that all this suspicion on me keeps me alive at least one more night though, so keep em coming.

Possibility 1 - There is a crumb that I overestimated the obviousness of in light of all the fun I was having claiming to be Batman and Alfred.sprityo wrote:sprityo wrote:i'll take it as you actually didnt make it obvious as opposed to flopping around telling everyone that you totally did, just in hopes they wouldnt actually look or become too frustrated to look so that you get through the day, then on top of that having some sucker actually try and fail letting it fade away
@svs, Dom ^^^^^^
Possibility 2 - I played that entire thing out to make it seem like there was a crumb to avoid getting lynched, rather than just defending myself. Narrowing my role possibilities down to so few that I'd be riding my luck ridiculously for no reason should any of said roles flip, or other such unfortunate situations occur to make it obvious I am lying.
2 looks fun. But option 1 is the answer.

I'm so sorry I missed the vote.
I got home from the dentist yesterday morning and took a nap that lasted till this morning.
I will play catch up after work tonight.
Voting Wayne enterprises just in case I don't make it back before night end.

Can't say I'm all that disappointed to see BR's role dead. The Joker is the iconic Batman villain, probably the guy most people would think of when asked to name Batman's biggest enemy. Can't imagine a role like that would be out for the best interests of the civs.
