Day 1

Just as Rocky was getting ready to peer out the front door and investigate the strange noises he had heard, a loud knock startled him. Opening the door a crack to investigate he was surprised to see a huddled group of Mafia Players, shaking with cold. Letting his good nature get the best of him, he invited the group inside to get warm without a second thought.

"Who's that, Rock?" asked Bullwinkle.

"Why, it's a group of friendly strangers," Rocky said, trustingly. "Look, there's a zebra, and a bird with teeth, and a... squid or something. Golly!"

Before Rocky could continue, one of the strangers leaned over and whispered in his ear. "There are those here who mean to harm you. Be careful." This advice made Rocky's blood run cold, for sure enough, among the groups of seemingly harmless travelers were a pair of spies from the far away nation of Pottsylvania, and they carried with them sinister intent.

Will our heroes be able to detect the evildoers before it's too late? Find out next time in "Seventeen's a Crowd" or "The Spy Who Killed Me!"

You have 24 hours to lynch a baddie.

Yo llama:
"Good puns may carry additional rewards (this goes for all other players too.)"
In Aesop's role power description, does this mean anyone can post puns in the thread and receive rewards, or that the puns that the Aesops post give rewards that can be utilized by all other players too?

It means that all players should be encouraged to use puns in their posting, and if I see one I particularly like, I might give out a reward.

Not in my experience. RVS often leads to some actual pings and suspicions on Day 1 that otherwise wouldn't have happened. I mean, 24 hour days, come on. Would you rather the game continue to go on as it did Day 0 for the entire day, perhaps even the next day?
S~V~S wrote:Voting for people for no reason just for lulz is my least favorite thing, tbh.
First of all, RVS is not just for "lulz" it's actually a great way of catching opportunistic baddies still dipping their feet in the water. I've used it to get a baddie Diiny twice in a row before. Second, what's happening here might actually be an example of that. If it's your least favorite thing, then why did you participate in it when you were under no obligation to and vote for me? Or did you vote for me because of a reason that you have yet to give? I would like to know which it is, because from my point-of-view your options are either an immediate contradiction or a suspicious vote.

Random voting stage.

And S~V~S, I have some problems with this post.

You imply that voting for no reason just goes against the grain, yet you seem to have voted for no reason.
You imply that your issue with RVS is that your experience with Day Ones is from games with unchangeable votes.
Since this game has changeable votes, doesn't that mean that your criticism of the tactic is completely invalid by your own admission?
RVS does not mean voting for no reason anyway.

Throttle back, OK?
That's not true, I wasn't lecturing you when you voted. I've been lecturing you since, though. :P

When you voted for me this is all that I had said, and it wasn't directed at anyone in general let alone you:

So not only was I not lecturing you, I wasn't lecturing anyone.

Of course I see the irony, but don't forget your very own criticism of RVS voting:
S~V~S wrote:RVS just leads to people forgetting to move their votes.

But OK. Zeebs
We wouldn't that to happen over a joke, would we? :suspish:

Look, I never do changeable votes. I thought I would try it one time. ONE TIME! I promise I'll go back to the old way for my next game. Sheesh.
