That is (I assume) where one is obvious and the player with the conflicting win condition is still alive. What I'm getting at though is just how significant an ability do we consider this to be? Would it be of greater gravity to some roles over others?DharmaHelper wrote:I take it to mean any one player with a conflicting win condition.Glorfindel wrote:I'm not sure Dom, the jury's still out as far as I'm concerned. The moment you take two votes, and are targetted by the Penguin, you don't know who the Penguin is. It would have to be just one.
No I didn't. I asked you a question, and stated I had a ping. I did not state what my ping was, but it was always that I didn't think you read genuine. One player with a win condition conflicting with his own, I would assume. I was targeted by a similar role in another game, and I was a civ. They said they would send my role to a baddie, iirc. ANY civvie has a conflicting win condition to a baddie, and and baddie has a win condition conflicing with the civs, as well as various inmates. So if Penguin targets a civ, they threated to send the role to a baddie, or vice versa, assuming this works the same. And it's (one of) the same hosts, Epignosis, so I imagine it is similar.Glorfindel wrote:Reposting as I only got one answer to this. @Golden, @Dom, @MP and @Enrique - may I have your thoughts please? You're right, I just read back over Sprityo's posts and was astonished to see that he has 83 posts, yet I couldn't remember a single comment from him all game. He's been pushing for low/nonposters from Day 1 to the present and asks questions without giving much opinion himself. And, as you said, the bandwagony votes only give him a worse look.Turnip Head wrote:Has anyone read sprityo's ISO? It's full of sketch. It's all mechanics questions for the hosts, discussion of mechanics, and last minute votes. In lynches with a clear runaway candidate, sprityo votes with the majority. In tighter lynches which would require him to take a stand, he votes for Floyd or talks about how we should get rid of the nonparticipants. The pattern is clear. sprityo is doing his best to not do anything that will put him in the spotlight. I encourage everyone to reread him. Let's get this guy in the hotseat pronto.MovingPictures07 wrote: sprityo -- The d2 lynch doesn't really give us any information about sprityo (he voted last for Nero, and many of his posts have not been particularly thick in content. In addition, his d3 vote for Floyd could be seen as an easily justifiable vote for a lurker to avoid coming up with suspicions. Not a good look. With that said, I am tone reading him as genuine, and he has brought forth insight throughout the game, mainly in the form of questions. I need to really think about him more though; he's the weakest of my town reads and could easily drop to a mafia read if he doesn't pick up more townie points.

Did you vote for Mp because you realize that a lurker wasn't getting lynched, sprityo? Because this isn't helping you form any semblance of consistency.

The first thing is his comment that people should just sit back while these wall posts were going on and build on the mistakes made later. The only trouble is I never saw him refer back to that comment by building on any mistakes made. Maybe he did but if so I didn't recognize it in my iso.

Next was the comment made about Matt that he might not enjoy the spotlight. I saw that as laying down a suspicion that maybe Matt was bad because he wasn't as high profile as others. I personally haven't noticed this about Matt and he has 387 posts, in the top quarter of high posters in this game. I don't know if Matt is bad or not but this reason does not seem legit to me.
i have exactly watched games on this forum, nor have I ever interacted with Matt, this seems a perfectly fine question to ask to get to know someone a little better
Then we have his seemlingly dismayed reaction to the tie between Wilgy and Scotty. He seemed to be casting aspersions at the group - I don't know if he was going to narrow that down or not - but a note here is he didn't vote at all. So which is worse - trying and ending in a tie or just not voting. It seems like something a baddie would do.
i have a life and know for a fact I was busy that day. I even commented how I had just missed it
He also mentioned that he was not feeling good about Enrique though he didn't know why. I would have expected him to ISO Enrique or in some other way try to confirm what was making him feel pinged but I didn't see any evidence of that throughout the game. I didn't see the suspicion mentioned again.

same instance with the MP lynch. There was no way in hell my vote would matter to turn the lynch around, especially since you can't change your vote
Then he advises MP to look at the second big group of voters - including him - for possible bussing. I had a thought here that maybe sprityo was trying to waive away suspicion by including himself in the group.
this was a sincere thing I have to mp, I simply threw myself in there for ease of reading. I mean I could go the stock, "I known I'm town so you don't have to look at me" spiel, but that's it. Not to mention, does it really matter if I included myself or not? Everyone has their suspicions and simply providing a set of information in which I account myself doesn't mean it's a buss or cover.
Regarding Typhoony, he first says if Penguin is not Typhoony then who is the Penguin? He doesnt follow that up with any thoughts about who it could be but goes on to say they should be looking for Nero's partner not the penguin. the answer was not the answer I wanted, therefore voiding any usefulness to the comment in general
And finally, on her vote for MP she voted like she just looked at the list, saw he had most of the votes and voted him. Gave no reason at all.
One thing that sprityo posted that had people agreeing with him was a post about Mac's breadcrumbs. I included that post in a spoiler close to the bottom of the page.
Like I said this is not overwhelming evidence of being a baddie but there are some things to question. I hope sprityo is able to address these things soon.
