I swear, I don't know what you expect of me DH. I AM trying and will continue to. I still don't get a bad feeling about you at all but I am frustrated by your apparently inability to even consider the possibility that I am being truthful. As I said earlier, I feel increasingly uneasy about Sprityo and his behaviour so on this occasion, I'll support this lynch. I hope I'm right - you seem like a really nice guy Sprityo and if I'm wrong, I'm genuinely sorry.Turnip Head wrote:A sprityo lynch feels like the easiest thing we could possibly do, but hey look how the Floyd lynch turned out. I'm not convinced this will be a great result for us and will only serve to rid the thread of his idiosyncratic weirdness. Voting for Glorfy. If he's civ I want him to stop telling me that he's town and SHOW me that he's town.

Thank you MP for that utterly irrelevant assessment of my post. I'd respectfully suggest to you that your limited time and energy would have been better spent addressing the questions that I put to you last night. I think that would be a far more constructive use of your time in assisting our cause.MovingPictures07 wrote:Lots of empty words backed with no town-minded effort to find mafia.Glorfindel wrote:And maybe that is my point too my friend - you see me as bad when I simply am not. I may be making a heinous mistake here but I'm not voting for you today. I'd like to look again at your performance this game from more of a holistic perspective - I just want to be certain about that decision (well, more certain).S~V~S wrote:

I would like to lynch Spityo or Glorfindel or even Golden. But every time people start diuscussion about others, I come back up. So if you want to lynch a real baddie,do it. But if you choose to lynch me, you will be able to move past it and get the game back on track. Either way, yay civs.

I went ahead and voted Sprit. since SVS is at least offering some defense, and Sprit isn't even bothering that.

I really haven't been paying this game the attention I should be and I'm sorry.
Sprityo was one of the ones who's night locations compared to sabies looked like they might be teammates so that's why I'm voting him.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 7]
Last Laugh

sprityo held his gun tightly as he leaned around the corner in the condemned community centre. After hours of poring over the reams of evidence surrounding the Joker's death, he had come to the disturbing conclusion that the psychopath's sick games weren't over. The clues had led him here, where several rare chemicals had been delivered to the name 'Joe Kerr'... the Joker had been building something.
He froze when he heard chuckling echoing down the dark hallway. Carefully, he crept forward, and saw a dim light shining from underneath a door. He eased forward, listening, and wrinkling his nose at the odd smell coming out from underneath. Taking a deep breath, he shouldered his way through the door, and was shocked to see a large group of regular-looking folks, at least twenty, staring at him with twisted grins on their faces, and a greenish haze hung in the air.
"GCPD!" he shouted. "Nobody move!"
Then the laughter started. Howling like insane hyenas, the crowd rushed at him as one. He was able to fire off a couple of bullets before they overcame him, tearing him to pieces and roaring with uncontrolled laughter the whole time.

sprityo has been lynched. He was Cop #1, a true blue member of the GCPD. It is now Night 7, you have 23 hours to send in your PMs.

*sigh*
I don't understand sprit's decision to give up. Was it meta games? It's kind of disappointing. Just because the Joker is dead and you can win dead or alive... the town still has to actually WIN.
This is something I like about alive to win. You have to fight for it.

I'm sure there are other players who try harder because they don't have to be alive to win, so that argument doesn't make sense to me personally.

I'm not arguing with anyone. I'm just annoyed that no-one (including me) came up with this answer. The only one I heard was Mr Freeze.Turnip Head wrote:He didn't give up, he just wasn't trying very hard. Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 7]
Because "the possibility that I am being truthful" isn't very convincing. A mafioso who constantly calls himself town is one of the easiest lies, so when you keep saying it over and over again, it doesn't make me want to believe you.Glorfindel wrote:I swear, I don't know what you expect of me DH. Voting for Glorfy. If he's civ I want him to stop telling me that he's town and SHOW me that he's town.
Per the underlined, I went back to look for this. Working backwards:
Glorfindel wrote:Not necessarily, my friend. Firstly, let me say that I'm unsure what you were asking of me earlier. You asked for why I would vote for you without stating any of Golden's case? I've already done that less than a couple of pages ago - you're welcome to go back and read it for yourself. I've slept on this vote overnight and I'm now considering if there might be better options this Day phase. As I've said earlier, I am feeling bad vibes over the Sprityo thing right now so my vote for you is by no means locked in at this point.S~V~S wrote:Good Luck with that
You, Golden & Glorfindel, I presume?
I feel like you did not go out of your way to elaborate on this read at all, even though you did think to include "As I said earlier" every time you name checked your sprityo suspicion. This makes me think it wasn't a genuine read, that you were just parroting the thread. Whatever you found "concerning" about sprityo's behavior you did not specify. I know sprit was obviously acting strange but I can't help but feel a town Glorfindel would have thought to ask why is he acting strange instead of just trying to pass it off as concerning. I don't see you actually trying to get to the bottom of this suspicion, and I find that concerning.Glorfindel wrote:As for your 'other suspicions' I share them too. While I didn't have a problem with Sprityo earlier, I am now concerned at his behaviour this Day phase and would consider him as an option for my vote. As far as your point three goes, you should forgive me for what I see as a significant number of more experienced players getting a 'free ride'. Take Matt for example. He made a statement towards the end of the last Day phase referencing his suspicions on TH and MP. I asked for him to elaborate and I can't recall a single 'on topic' post from him since. Meanwhile, someone makes a statement to the effect that my playstyle is reminiscent of my Star Wars performance (without any obvious level of analysis to justify the claim) and people who weren't even in Star Wars accept that.

You are back pedalling so hard.
Reminds me of SVS going after me in recruitment for admitting to having tried to bait an epi kill.

Are you kidding me? And am I blaming the victim?
Yes.
And I think thats perfectly fair.
I am blaming myself too, for not thinking about it harder.
I don't like logically preventable civilian deaths.

If I had believed it, you would have seen fucking 50 memes from me saying it. I wouldn't have let it go.Turnip Head wrote:Are you kidding me? I don't think TH is bad in the slightest. You won't get me no u'ing him.Dom wrote:Nice NO U golden.
I'll think on this.
I'm asking TH to think about his own behaviour before he judges me for mine.
On the other hand, Dom, you were VERY eager to jump on me.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 7]
What are you trying to say Golden? That I didn't do enough? After I basically gave myself an ulcer defending SVS the other day, and you replied with "I can't understand why TH is defending her so strongly?"
I made the points in sprityo's defense that he wasn't making himself. I tried to get people off of him and onto other suspects. It's weird that you're acting like I should have done more when YOU'RE the one who wouldn't consider the points I was making.

I'm not blaming you, TH. In case I haven't made it abundantly clear, I'm pissed at ME. I just don't understand why you are criticising me for having entirely forgotten about the cop 1 idea when its not exactly like anyone was shouting it from the rooftop.Turnip Head wrote:What are you trying to say Golden? I made a point, Golden. I said I'm going to think on it. I pressed someone who I think made an inconsistency in their narrative.Golden wrote:I don't think TH is bad in the slightest. You won't get me no u'ing him.Dom wrote:Nice NO U golden.

I think you no u'd me when you were quick to compare me to SVS in Recruitment, where if memory serves me right, she was bad.
You made an inconsistency. I think that's worth discussing.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 7]
Did anyone ever mention it other than that one exchange?
linki @dom - oh in that case, no you misconstrued. SVS genuinely thought I was bad in recruitment (despite being bad herself). I didn't mean to imply that, just that the idea I'm bad for my lynch reaction is wrong. You won't get a frank reaction from me to a lynch like that when I'm bad.

That's a pretty bold statement. What does your lynch reaction look like when you're bad?Golden wrote:You won't get a frank reaction from me to a lynch like that when I'm bad.

As someone also answered, it was SVS and me.Sorsha wrote:Wasn't he? I thought it was him and svs?DharmaHelper wrote:Point me to that post if you don't mindSorsha wrote:I really haven't been paying this game the attention I should be and I'm sorry.
Sprityo was one of the ones who's night locations compared to sabies looked like they might be teammates so that's why I'm voting him.
RIP sprityo
Which is a factor that gives me pause about SVS. i know I'm not bad, but there is circumstantial evidence that SVS very well could be.
