Re: Rocky and Bullwinkle - The Legend of Frostbite Falls [N6
Day 8
The group appeared to have reached a sort of equilibrium. With the death of Boris, the bleeding had stopped, and yet there was a sense that not all was well. A tall, dark woman lurking in the corner still had sinister motives on her mind. Unfortunately, Bullwinkle was a sucker for a pretty face, and couldn't danger when he was staring right at it. Will he be able to sniff out the truth in time?
No one has died.
You have 24 hours to lynch a baddie.
A message from Aesop and Son:
Ash Ketchum was having the best day of his life - he had a fantastic breakfast, defeated a gym leader, and caught three Pokemon in one afternoon with little effort - two Magnetons and a Mankey. Two types, one area, no visits to the PokeCenter. By the evening, Ash was dancing crazily in the street, much to the annoyance of his companions.
“You’d better be careful, Ash,” said Brock.
“Yeah,” Misty chimed, “Don’t let it get to your head!”
But Ash was having none of it - in fact, their warnings only made him dance even more enthusiastically, and this dance gave him a brilliant idea. If he was so good at catching Pokemon, then maybe, with his mastery, he could make them into more Pokemon, or even evolve them faster so his Pokedex could fill up! Oh, man, was he a genius!
Ash decided that he’d try for Magnemites first - after all, what was a Magneton but three Magnemites stuck together? He could have six Pokemon instead of two! He released the Magnetons, grabbed one of them, and pulled on one of the Magnemites to separate it from the other two. Misty and Brock stared at Ash in disbelief, but he ignored them. After straining for a bit, Ash actually managed to separate them. For a moment, they remained apart, floating in an awkward lopsided manner away from each other. “YEAH!” Ash cheered, then went for the other Magneton. However, in irritation, both sets of Pokemon released an electric wave, enough to both pull the separated Magneton back together and give Ash a good shock, and flew away as fast as possible.
“Nooooo!” shouted Ash, who ran behind them, but the Magnetons were specks on the horizon in seconds. “Oh, well,” he said, taking out another Pokeball, “I’ve still got my Mankey!” Ash had read that an angry Mankey could easily evolve into a Primeape, and grinned at his brilliance. Brock and Misty exchanged worried glances. Ash ordered Pikachu to give Mankey a good electric shock. “Pikaaa?” whimpered Pikachu in confusion, but did as he was told. “PIKAAAAAA!”
Mankey was shocked. Mankey was angry. And Mankey evolved, all right. “PRIMEAPE!” the new Pokemon shouted, kicking Ash in the groin as hard as possible. Ash crumpled to the ground, and Primeape jumped triumphantly in the air a few times before running away in the same direction as the Magnetons. Brock and Misty doubled over in laughter as Ash wept in pain and loss. “Why did this happen?” he moaned, rolling in the dirt. “Whyyyy?”
“Well, Ash,” said Brock, “it’s like my mom always used to say: ‘Two ‘tons don’t Magnemite.’”
“And,” added Misty, “a fool and his Mankey are soon parted.”

Well my theory seems pretty foolproof then, bea is just not here, so she didn't Natasha blooper, and no one else is. So it has to be bea.

This game has taught me some strategies to use as a baddie in the future... in the right kind of game. I plan to be that conniving, but I think the cigar here is just a cigar. And bea is that cigar.sprityo wrote:Unless someone WANTS me to think that. Naw, no one is that conniving

You guys really. I'm not bad. Or sexy. Or russian.
I'm still busy over worked bea. 18 hours yeaterday. 4 hours sleep and a meeting this morning. One of 2 days I get to do this this week.
I wish I could say that I had the day to tell you all how wrong a vote for me is, but I dont. I just dont.
It has to be sprit.

THE END
Frostbite Falls is saved, but at what cost? Bullwinkle the Moose learned that he could ward off evil, albeit unwittingly, and Aesop and Son got some good fables out of it, but poor Rocky is Dead, and the evil Snidley Whiplash had his way with the defenseless Nell. A Pyrrhic victory if there ever was one.
The game has ended.
Dr. Wilgy, Elohcin, Long Con, and Nijuukyugou have won. Sprityo has also won.
Congratulations, and thank you all for playing!

I want to give a special thanks/shout out to my baddies, zebra, bea, and scotty. They played an absolute blinder of a game. I was woried that the odds were stacked against them from the beginning, but they only need maybe one more successful kill to run away with the rest of the game. If they had gotten rid of Long Con or Wilgy a little earlier, they would have had it.
Great job, guys! You really played an excellent game.

Yeah I knew bea was bad as soon as she posted after I died. Well played bea, you had me going. I am sad they totally ignored my death posts about Sorsha (I was like literally shaking my fist at the computer ha ha), but glad they ignored the points I made about bea

I was honestly going back and forth about longcon, cause I just felt that surely is bea wasn't Mafia, then longcon was playing this backwards, "lets fuck with the town" game. Which realistically (if he was Natasha) we could've won tomorrow. But either way I'm glad I managed to survive
good game

Blast!
Good game civs, and good try fellow scum for trying to cover for my blowup early. I'm still amazed Epi and Elo were able to sniff me out early on. I still legitimately don't think I have a baddie game based on such a small sample size, but I could just be shortsighted.
Man, if we had taken out MP earlier when he was actually up for a lynch, this game would have been easier.
My initial instructions were to leave a specific emoji in the first few posts on day 2, and I actually missed bea's emoji in my initial and second read, so I was convinced that maybe my message was blocked or something since 3 different people used the
emoji on day 2. Next time I need to be a little more specific.
I really enjoyed my character's mechanic (even though I only used it once for real, since LC blocked me night 2...and LC and Wilgy's blustering over Natasha's seduction message was enjoyable to witness. Thanks for a fun game, llama!

Good job you guys! Elo, you were the only protect I was able to send in, I protected you Night 1.
Here was my first punny Night pm to Llama:
And here was my Night 2, post-mortum pm:
I actually thought Epi was Aesop or Jr for a bit, but then he died and they kept on. Should have known it was his wife!
Here was my first punny Night pm to Llama:
A thunder of jets and an open sky… a streak of gray and a friendly:
“Hi!”
“Well, hello yourself, there Rocky”, said Bullwinkle, cheerfully.
“I love my role so much Bullwinkle. I am so happy I got it”, said Rocky, as he dove and rose, and flew perfect figure eights.
Bullwinkle began to look sad, his lower lip quivered, and his eyes welled up with tears.
“Hokey smoke, what’s wrong??” Rocky squeaked.
“Well nobody offered me a roll. And I’m really hungry. I skipped lunch today!”
And here was my Night 2, post-mortum pm:
A loop, a whirl and a vertical climb, and once again you’ll know it’s time…
For the Adventures Rocky and Bullwinkle… and friends.
“Say, Rocky, my pal, I’ve been wanting to ask you a question.” Bullwinkle scratched his head as he tried to think a thought.
“Sure Bullwinkle, how can I help you?” The ever chipper Rocky was always ready at a moment’s notice to lend a hand.
“Your voice is kind of high. Are you a girl squirrel or something?”
“No Bullwinkle, I’m a boy squirrel. I always have been.” Rocky was back to doing loops and whirls.
“Hmmm, but I’m a boy moose… a boose, I suppose… and my voice is deep. How can you know you’re a boy squirrel with a voice that squeaky?” Bullwinkle continued to scratch his antlers with a faraway look in his eye. (Thinking really is hard work.)
“I am a boy Bullwinkle. And I can prove it!”
“Well, ok Rocky. How can you prove a thing like that? We’re just cartoon characters.”
Rocky put his hands on his hips, and scrunched up his nose. “I can prove it. Look! I’ll show you my nuts!” Rocky pulled open a hidden door on a rather large, old, hollowed out tree, and motioned for Bullwinkle to peer inside.
“Jumping G. Horsefat! That’s the most acorns I’ve ever seen in one place! What a guy!”
I actually thought Epi was Aesop or Jr for a bit, but then he died and they kept on. Should have known it was his wife!

Great game everyone! I take at least partial responsibility for the baddie loss here, I wasn't shit-flingy enough and as the game went on I became more transparent. As soon as I was role-blocked on my last night I had a feeling we were going down, and then when bea was blocked the next night as well, sure enough. Good job civs and fellow teammates!

Re: Rocky and Bullwinkle - The Legend of Frostbite Falls [Da
Yay! Yes, killing me would have helped a lot, baddies. I was just waiting to see if a kill didn't happen some night so I could go after someone with that in mind. I'd probably have been ripe for a foolin' if the baddies had decided to skip a kill.
On Night 1 I blocked Epignosis, and the kill still went through, so that gave him some cred. And even if he, as Inspector Fenwick, searched bwt as Dudley Do-Right... he wouldn't have gotten the BTSC. I doubt he searched bwt though.
On Night 2, I blocked Scotty. That night, Boris killed, and Natasha tried to seduce me. So Scotty was extra cool in my books, and I was also Scrooched that night by Sloonei and MP, which was sort of cool since they then knew I wasn't Boris, and I couldn't vote or post or use my night power on night 3.
Night 4, I blocked Wilgy because I was sure he was bad when I misunderstood when he claimed to be seduced. And actually, it's funny that bea pretended to be seduced that night, because my crazy logic figured that if Wilgy HAD to be bad (because of him lying), then he had to be Natasha (because a kill went through on Night 4), which would mean that bea was lying about getting seduced, and was Boris.
So I blocked bea Night 5, and though a kill went through (this was around the time I started to realize my basic premise about Wilgy was wrong), no one claimed to be seduced. That's what led me to block bea's kil on the last night.
I blocked sprityo on night 6, and there was no kill! I was like
! At this time I was playing Turf Wars as well, and co-hosting Arkham Mafia with Epi... so there were a bunch of PMs in my Inbox that I hadn't gotten around to looking at - ones which I knew Epi was getting as well. A PM from Llama got lost in the shuffle there, one which informed me that the Narrator had switched my target from sprityo to zebra that night!
I saw it right after my "I have to take a hard stance on this" post. I made that post because I knew I couldn't block Boris again and I didn't want to get killed. Good thing Wilgy knew what he had done, and pushed me the right way.
I don't know how Elohcin went along with it so well.
So we lynched Boris, and then I blocked Natasha again and we lynched her. I let sprityo bring up bea as the final lynch candidate on the last day though, and went along with him, instead of bursting into the thread with my supercool roleblocker info.
Only the living won this one! So congrats, fellow survivors!
sprityo, did my musings on being Snidely ring true?

Haha! Well, it showed. So it made me wonder if you were bad b/c when anyone is bad they are happy when people think they are civ.S~V~S wrote:Lol, I was literally thrilled that for the first time you re3cognized my civ game ha ha. You never think I am civ, so I was happy that you saw it
Maybe next time!

Good job civvies!
Sorry to SVS- I really did think you were bad! And also sorry to indiglo- I think I was a deciding vote or advocate for your death as well iirc.
Looks like the only thing I was right about was Eloh & blooper having btsc. I think I was an honorary 4th member of the Mafia this game by how I played

Woo woo!! I saw the results during my lunch hour and can finally post!!
Great game, super fun and relaxed - perfect for this time of the school year. I'm glad I got to see several people's civ games up close and personal when I'm used to being bamboozled by them. And baddies, fine job - I really was paranoid until the very end.

It is my favorite kind of role, and puns are my extra-favorite

Thanks RicoRicochet wrote:Congrats, everyone! Eloh is getting real good at winning.![]()
I think it has to do with the fact that I have only been playing small games lately and I am actually able to keep up and know what's going on. It's so much more fun that way
And what about the puns y'all? 'Ol bloops and I did pretty good, eh? And someone thought it had to be wilgy.

I wanted to make more puns myself, but I think the thought that I was on the lookout for pun opportunities blocked my ability to actually do it. It's usually just an accidental part of my game.
niju has had the role that gets to post things anonymously like that both times that I've seen it used.

That's ok Sorsha, I seem to have a long history of getting lynched when I'm civ.

I am curious wtf was actually going on there though, because it did not really seem genuine. I was super surprised MP turned out to be civ after that, because that whole thing went down so super scummily. Oh well, just an internet game!

Wilgy, what did you do with your Narrator powers? Did you ever use the vote-altering side? I assume not.

I asked Llama about that power because i was attempting to use that as an excuse, and was told that we would be notified if the lynch was altered. So it doesn't look like it.Long Con wrote:Wilgy, what did you do with your Narrator powers? Did you ever use the vote-altering side? I assume not.

Great game llama -
I'm sorry to both you and the players that I couldn't participate more.
Scotty and Zeebs. Ve got ze squiel at least.
regarding the pm - I thought it would be fun to make it all Natashaish. So I asked llama if I could write the pm - And I did for long con's, was too rushed for wilgy - and then picked it back up again when I realized llama wasn't just going to cut and paste the name of the targets into the pm I wrote for llama.
At that time - it was all svs vs sorsha and lc vs wilgy -
So, on the advice of fearless leader, I natashaed myself. I sent a pm in and everything. (Ok - it was a pretty vague pm, but I did send in a pm. lol.)
The plan was to throw crededece to lc's claim that the pm was all weird written to cast doubt on wilgy and then vote either sorsha or svs because I was natashaed.
It was far easier for me to vote svs btw than to reverse that situation and try to later imply that svs forced me to vote sorsha. Also - I figured I didn't have much longer before svs would smell my baddie stink. She does read me pretty well you guys. And no - sorsha - for the record, I don't think you would do that to me. (of course, now some day you can. lol) - I adore you both and did feel bad for doing what I did, but a baddie has to be bad.

I was convinced Ninja was the baddie, she just sailed in and dropped a vote on me for no reason, and then as soon as I died a light bulb went off
