Re: [NIGHT 9] Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
I am never lynching any of these people on Day 10:
S~V~S
Sloonei
Turnip Head
That means there are 4 baddies here:
chaindeath
Dom
Elohcin
Epignosis
Nerolunar
Soneji
If you're a townie in that pile, then show yourself as brightly as you can. The game is still winnable, somehow, and if you get out of that pile then it's locked.

Re: [NIGHT 9] Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
I'm not going to vote if I'm uninformed regarding why the shift occurred. That's not avoidance.Prisoner 509378 wrote:I don't think the word "avoid" is inaccurate. If you observed a number of players moving from gleam to Fuzz, another significant wagon on ika, and deliberately did not contribute to either notable wagon -- then you avoided them. That's a logical assertion. You can rightly suggest that the motive for that avoidance isn't what sig or Soneji has stated it was, but you can't say you didn't avoid the wagons.Epignosis wrote:The verb sig and now Soneji have been using against me is that I avoided that vote. I didn't avoid it- avoidance is an active thing you purposely try to do. I wasn't home. I came home with little time and pages to read. In the turn of a single page I saw votes fly from gleam to Fuzz. I thought I could catch up, but that wasn't going to happen. So fuck it said I. Grant the punchline zebra was waiting for.
Addendum: Jesus.

Yes it is. You'd have avoided those two wagons because you didn't feel informed enough to contribute to either of them. Why are you bothered by that word?Epignosis wrote:I'm not going to vote if I'm uninformed regarding why the shift occurred. That's not avoidance.

chaindeath, if you don't start getting involved immediately, you're very likely to be lynched. Is that what you want? If you drop by, you need to make posts.

The alternative was that I should have voted ika or Fuzz without a reason why. Then people would have a reason to accuse me, because then I would be voting ika or Fuzz while avoiding the giving of a reason.
I avoided nothing. I threw away my vote.

Frankly, this is what I would expect civilian Epignosis to do. You'd have taken the opportunity to decide the lynch, probably in delight, and you wouldn't give a shit about the "necessity" to explain your vote.

Epignosis
After copignosis is eliminated we're still going to have a significant challenge on our hands in making this comeback. One thing I think this might do is strongly imply Soneji is a civilian. When Epi lost sig as a lynch option, he just diverted right to the next-easiest option (the guy Sloonei and I were both considering offing).

Re: [Day 10] Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
Another thing that emerges from the knowledge that Epi is a cop is that Elohcin becomes a stronger suspect too. Let's be honest: Epignosis was well aware she was never reading this thread and his "idea" to snare her was always bullshit. It was a clever means of protection though.
Re: [NIGHT 9] Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts

You already revealed your own mindset. You had no basis for a Scotty vote, and at that point it wasn't a certainty at all that Scotty was going down.Epignosis wrote:Is that what I did? Was Soneji the next-easiest lynch option, or was that Scotty? I did no such thing.

The accusations ended when you didn't grant the obvious that your Zebra vote is a bad look. Everything further is interactive analysis drawn from the new knowledge that you're a cop. If you keep talking we'll get more information, so by all means keep at it.

You NEVER give a shit how you ,or your votes, look when you're civ. This aspect bothers me. I did not think that bad Epi would do something like continuously suspect someone who regularly gets mislynched, but what do I know?

He took advantage of a known deficiency in civilian play across The Syndicate -- people reading sig as a baddie incorrectly.
Of course he'd do that.

Re: [Day 10] Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
I don't give a shit how I look or how my votes look, civilian or bad. I can weasel my way out if I'm bad. However, compare first six or eight game phase Epi to Endgame Epi and see what's different. Look at Harry Potter, for example. Or The Hobbit. Or Frisky Dingo. Not giving a shit is easy when you never know if you're going to be killed. When you're a lynch or two away from winning or losing? Well that's different.S~V~S wrote:You NEVER give a shit how you ,or your votes, look when you're civ. This aspect bothers me.
