RULES & PROCEDURES
Gameplay
1. Days are 48 hours and take place here.
2. Nights are 24 hours and take place in your cell.
3. All game conversation must take place in this thread or your cell, depending on whether it is Day or Night respectively.
4. The hosts for this game are MovingPictures07 and Spacedaisy. Please PM all game and mechanics questions to both hosts.
5. The Mod on Duty for this game is nijuukyugou. She is there for any of your questions or concerns not strictly related to game or role mechanics. Please PM her with any grievances or concerns you may have at any time, notably including conflicts with other players. Keep the thread fun and clean of emotionally-charged drama or conflicts; PM nijuukyugou instead. We want to keep this game as fun as possible for everyone.
Rules
1. Be respectful and remember that this is a game. Although mafia is a game of deception and can be rather heated, recognize that the game is not personal and that your friends may be lying to you in the spirit of the game. Please treat your fellow players with respect, even if you suspect or strongly disagree with them.
2. No BTSC (Behind the Scenes Contact/Conversation).
3. No editing or deleting of posts.
4. No role outing of yourself or anyone else.
5. No identity outing of yourself or anyone else (i.e., MovingPictures07).
6. No dumping main game or player-specific information into the thread. This includes anything from your past life in the main thread, if you had one, as well as current prison-based information such as your cell number or cellmate.
7. You may, however, alignment claim truthfully or falsely, although it is not necessarily recommended.
Participation
The following behavior constitutes non-participation: If you do not post for more than 72 consecutive hours. If this is committed, it will qualify as non-participation for the purposes of this game. Consequently, any player who fails to post for 72 hours will have their Participation Score (P-Score) penalized. If at any time you are afraid you cannot fulfill this requirement due to any reason, please PM both hosts immediately explaining your situation. There are no replacements in Turf Wars: Prison Edition. Exceptions will be made for unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances.

Evening, prisoners!
Your next challenge:
All prisoners must cast their vote in the shank poll, and all votes must be cast for the same player to be shanked, including the player to be shanked.
Happy shanking.

Instant fail lol.
Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
331347 also said nothing during the foreign language challenge and lost us the chance to have a prison break. This needs to die.

i'm new, so be kind to me. meanwhile, i'll be sticking my shank in this 331347 guy.
To be recycled
Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
I'm happy to shank 331 - but no way this is going to work. This is a cruel joke and an impossible challenge. I am not pleased.
Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
We'd have better luck shanking me, and I would definitely vote for myself :P

So then what, exactly is the point?
Linki~ 277, I get what you are saying, and I like your spirit, but every single prisoner has to vote in this poll. So we are automatically going to lose no matter who we choose to shank.
Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
Part of me thinks this challenge was designed hoping that there would be no inactive prisoners, but then the other part of me says rather loudly "Hey have you ever been on the Syndicate before?"

We had 2 inactive prisoners in our group yesterday:
Prisoner 3313 (who is being fake shanked today, due to not showing up)
Prisoner 714386 (who just joined us Day 9, but didn't really join us because s/he never showed up)

The "challenge" is pretty simple; all it requires is for the prisoners to all show up for a minute, read the challenge, and vote. That's the point.
Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
Can we rezz 15 for a couple minutes he seemed keen on being shanked
Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
I posted some information yesterday in the Group 2 thread to work on the "baddies among us" challenge. I can update that content and post it here if you would like.
I actually think that 331 might actually be willing to vote for themselves. I'm not sure that I am allowed to elaborate.

If 331 shows up and votes for themselves I will be soundly surprised.

I'm in agreement with 331 being shanked due to his not showing up and I also agree this is a cruel challenge.
Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
I am down for this, very much. I have some thoughts on the Baddies Among Us as well, so I would love to discuss it. Maybe at least then we can accomplish something useful today.Prisoner 813142 wrote:I posted some information yesterday in the Group 2 thread to work on the "baddies among us" challenge. If 331 shows up, we will be way more than happy to shank him or her. I hope s/he does. Otherwise, this will be yet another pointless day, with an impossible to win challenge.

Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
For some reason I am having trouble posting right now, so I will hope this one also goes through...
Also for the new prisoners -
This thread will be gone at the end of the night phase. One of the other prisoners had posted all the new prisoners and post tallies for the previous day, etc when I joined, so I have also been doing that as well. If you want any info in a permanent file, you'll have to grab screenshots, etc.
I will continue keeping track of new prisoners, etc, but I only arrived Day 8 myself, so for anything before that time, we will have to rely on prisoners who have been here longer and have been keeping track.

If it's not an April Fools joke, it's designed to fail unless the no show, shows and votes, which is pretty cruel.

Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
I will be once again traveling tomorrow which will mean I will not be in the thread for the day. I apologize to everyone but i have no choice but to go. I already voted for 331 so it looks like its a matter of whether everyone else that hasn't voted votes for him too (including him of course but I'm encouraged that 813 has hope). Anyway I'll be back in the thread before the day ends.
Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition

And the other thing is - 331 isn't the only no-show. So not only would 331 have to show up and vote, but so would all the other no-shows. It's just never going to happen.
@ P 208 - no worries! You've done your part today comrade.

Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
Okay, in the spoiler section below is the updated prison log. It marks all the comings and goings. DO NOT VOLUNTEER INFORMATION AS TO WHO IS OR MIGHT BE WHO! That will get you modkilled. We have to wait to fill in those blanks if and or when we can initiate another prison break.
If you want a log of participation in challenges or specific data regarding a particular inmate, please let me know. I will do my best to provide it from my notes.

Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
We understand your frustration and we did not expect so many players to be completely uninterested in essentially getting rezzed. That said, we built this game with specific dynamics and we can't unduly influence the game. Additionally, we set it up so that no show players can be either shanked (should a challenge be failed) or mod killed (after a prison break). Furthermore, you were given a freebie extra shank last night on a person who was barely contributing the minimum and desperately wanted out of the game. I don't think we have been in the least unfair. We have already mod killed four players for you.Prisoner 419713 wrote:mod if players are inactive for 72 hrs can they jsut be auto eliminated from now on? its unfair that we have to suffer due to anothers inactivity

Re: [DAY 10] Turf Wars: Prison Edition
Things were tense in the Prison Yard. More tense than usual, if such a thing was possible. With no word from their opressive Warden for some time, many of the Prisoners began speculating as to their tormentors fate, with 'horrible, gruesome death'' leading in the betting pools. In his stead, a mysterious voice projected over the intercom had been giving them their tasks. Unfortunately the disappearance of the Warden had coincided with a particularly sour losing streak amongst the prison population. And as the voice explained their next task, it looked increasingly likely that the streak would continue.
A seemingly simple task: all that was required was that everyone in the yard agree on who to punish for their previous failures, including the one receiving the lethal punishment. Unfortunately, many of the prisoners responsible for those failures were in a state of frustratingly perpetual apathy. And so it seemed unlikely that these braindead lawbreakers were likely to agree on anything.
Apathy was not however in the fibers of Prisoner 227's being. He sat brooding on a bench in the yard, staring out towards the basketball hoop where several of his cohorts were passing the time by passing a basketball between them and occasionally taking very poor shots at the hoop. One hand rapping on the wooden surface of the table and another resting just under it and out of sight, 227 sent a glance towards 813, signalling that their moment had come.
813 dropped the basketball, and in a hushed tone explained the situation to the other players. They nodded, and the group dispersed throughout the yard.
227, for his part, sent his attentions now towards the prisoner on his left, one of the "troublemakers."
"What did you say?" 227 asked. No response.
"You got a problem with me, buddy?" Again, no response.
227 got to his feet, revealing the shank from his previously concealed hand. The prisoner at his side made no attempt to give anything resembling a shit. 227 plunged the shank into the neck of 331 and kicked his body over onto the bench, blood splattering upward like a geyser before cascading down, turning the chipped green paint on the bench a murky brown.
"Screw this nerd challenge." 227 called out. "We're here, they're not, lets kill 'em all and let God sort it out."
The other conspirators set about doing just that, and the Voice looked on in abject horror at the chaos it had wrought. +

im not so much frustrated by inactives, but more so frustrated by the fact that some challenges (like this one) require ALL players to be in here and that it by default, makes us unable to do anything about it untill they get removed. I knwo you cant change mechanics midgame, but i would recommend that if this does get used again (i like the idea of this personally and is interesting) that there be another way to deal with inactives. this dicssuion might be better serve pm/post game if needed
