Now, what is unique to this event:
Players will vote for the next destination during the Day. The next destination polls will be in a separate thread (except for Day 0). Keep all discussion in the main thread. In the World Map, just vote- that’s it.
Even if a player is eliminated, it is in his or her best interest to continue participating in the mini-games. A member of The Mushroom Kingdom can acquire 100 coins and return (1UP), while a member of Bowser’s crew must still work to earn coins for his team.
Missing a Day poll (if you are alive) results in a 10 coin penalty.
Win Conditions: Boswer’s crew wins as a team by eliminating all of The Mushroom Kingdom. A member of The Mushroom Kingdom wins only if Bowser’s crew is eliminated and he or she is alive when that happens.
We all knew the Mushroom Kingdom was not a fairy tale world.
It didn’t matter that it had princesses, dragons, or kings. It had floating bricks containing treasure, pipes that led to other worlds, and vines that could take you skyward and make you rich.
Hell, the castles had pools of lava.
Among the sixteen here, four are intent on enslaving the Mushroom Kingdom. Find them. Lynch them. Or if you are one of the four, enslave the Mushroom Kingdom!
But for now, just tell us where we are going! My GPS is broken!

Hi guys! I'm the M.O.D. So feel free to PM me if you can't get a hold of Robert or if you have any problems, complaints, death threats, etc. In the interest of keeping the game moving forward in a positive manner I ask that you keep it out of the thread. I promise we will do whatever we can to adequately resolve any issues, but in order to do so I need you to come to me first. Have fun!
Epignosis wrote:Say, did I mention that you get 10 coins just for voting on time?
Sweet!
Epi, do we keep track of our own points, or do you post them daily, etc. Also, can I get 5 points for Gryffindor for asking such an excellent question.
Yay game! I vote for pipe, because pipes are cool.

Speaking of pipes:
Tampa Theatre has a Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ. They play it live before and after films (and during intermission). They play live music during silent films such as Metropolis (the extended cut!), The General, Thief of Baghdad, etc.
I am disturbed by what appear to be 31 roles but only 15 players. Mighty disturbed.
linki Mongoose: Awesome! The original Thief of Baghdad with Douglas Fairbanks, directed by Raoul Walsh, is my favorite silent movie. Just spectacular!

Points. What the hell? Have we not evolved, Ms. Pac-Man?
Your coin count will be quite private. I will be keeping up with your coin total and notifying you privately of any changes.
If anyone is ever in doubt of the piggy bank, ask me.
I will NOT be archiving polls though. I generally like doing it, but I will not be this time for a few reasons. So keep ya own notes.
Just a note, I am busy most of tonight and also will be gone most of tomorrow night as well. I'll be back later tonight to actually read stuff and figure out which poll option.
Super Mario Bros 3 will forever be my favorite of the classic Mario games, and the grass world is always the first level. Ergo, I vote we go to the grass world.

Get the Bioshock host post up before fannying around here. Some people are waiting.

Does that mean that we have to be online to record that information as the poll closes, or will it be available for some period of time?
Hopefully someone catches a screenshot, and then posts it to the thread. Or you can make a running tally in a Word doc or a notepad, and fill in the blanks from the thread. Someone will likely post an order.

Watch out, SVS, I am going to squash all the discussion this game. Any discussion that is being had, I will squash it all to bits! It will be the most silent mafia game ever, at least until I finish developing my Marcel Marceau Mafia.

I believe this is most logical, so I will be voting grass as well.
Super Mario Bros. 3 is such a classic. I love Super Mario World just a bit more though.

Logan, your Marcel Marceau Mafia comment made me spray iced decaf all over Pipecleaner. He is not an amused cat. I don't even know if you are being serious, but that was funny as heck.
I hate starting things out of order, so I hope more of y'all will vote for World 1.
I was terrible at the water worlds too. Perhaps even worse at the ice realms?
All: I think we are going to have some classy, yet wildly animated, discussions this go-around.

Out of order you say? I disapprove of pipes now. I also prefer things properly ordered. Books, movies, tv shows. No skipping ahead, and definitely no reading the ending first!

I watched Beetlejuice the other night and noticed a Marcel Marceau joke in it that I never got before even though I have seen it a hundred times. I love discovering new things about old favorites!
In case you're wondering, Charles Deetz (Jeffrey Jones) is talking about inviting people up to house, and after mentioning a name says "He's the one that got us that talking Marcel Marceau statue!" It flies by and is a reference you don't even register when you're watching that movie as a kid.

I've changed my mind. I'll archive the polls. You guys just sit back and have fun!
