Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Two
After reading all the opinions about LC I have come to believe he is good, whatever that means in this game. Now I have to decide about nutella. I feel sure as I've said before that Epi is good so that leaves me kind of suspicious of sig who seems certain Epi is bad and not willing to consider the info from the show lore.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Two
This is my post saved in Chrome's history before the computer rebooted. (Fell asleep in the meantime) I can't develop it further.
Reviewed LC based on his activity and the cases against him, notably (again) JJJ's.
-- stuff that doesn't hold as much weight for me: -
-- stuff that I find just... interesting: his conflicting views on profiling Athena as good based on lore, but insisting on the ultimate demise of Epig being a necessary step (could be agenda issues, though); his defense pitch for nutella
-- stuff that does: sudden Matt vote was sudden, Day One; loose reads or vote intentions (ika from good to 'should go awai could be Cylon', for instance); his vote interferences, stance on it and further philosophy (the B2 story also makes him look worse for the timing he chose)
-- stuff I don't know what to do with: basic reads along the Day One way (the stuff that JJJ called it "stance certifying")
Ergh. Picking on players from unusual angles (like for instance, sig) and messing with the thread is something I've seen both from civ LC seeing things with a different eye and from baddie LC knitting susswires on people. I can't quite discern how a baddie LC with knowledge of RezShip/RezHub locations wouldn't foresee that the B2 reveal, sooner or later, wouldn't blow up in his face, nevertheless a) it doesn't exclude LC from being a baddie without any such knowledge himself b) doesn't erase the bad impression of being so principled, then just throwing dynamite on the whole thing. I'm naturally inclined to find malevolence in this movie, but even here I'm not 100% certain if it would be revealed as a tactical Leroy Jenkins move or a blunder of a jest.
Idk I'm reading this and don't feel it's a fully complete indictment folder. It's 4am, can someone tell me other noteworthy charges on LC?
===
With such mixed reads on nutella and LC, I will hereby stick to voting Zebra. Her wagon is pants right now, but this is my strong read toDay.

We all know that marmot is a special snowflake, but we just don't let him know exactly what we mean by special.Matt wrote:I can't help feel that it makes Marmot special somehow.
I signed him up as marmot in the sign up thread, and have been copy and pasting the player list ever since. I don't want to mislead anyone with player names, I'm not going to hide information in places like polls, or incidental parts of night and day posts etc, because it could unbalance the game to do that.
I call him marmot because I call him marmot. If you have a problem with this, I reserve the right to assign you a nickname and call you exclusively that. Probably some kind of animal that tunnels for golden things...

Between Long Con and nutella I am leaning more in the direction of a nutella vote right now. Black Rock and bea, you've both promoted a LoRab lynch -- could you try to briefly describe your beefs? They may already be in the thread somewhere, but time is limited to go searching around.

Why are you assuming Epi is a good cylon? You've got no proof what so ever of this.
@Juliets we have no evidence pointing to this being true, and Golden said it wasn't necessary to have knowledge about the show. I think in the sign ups when looking at the roles it makes it kind off clear the cylons are the mafia. I believe they're the ones with the nightkill and they're the ones who we are activity hunting. I mean every six hours we are sending two civs out to try and blow up their ships. I don't see how everyone here is taking for granted that Epi must be a civ.
This was done in Turf Wars to and he turned out to be mafia.

I think he's mafia and has you all fooled into believing he is a "good" cylon.

My new theory (in my head) is that the Cylon/Human relationship is not so black and white and there will be murderers from both sides. Which means the Mafia team is made up of both. I just don't know which roles.
You already know that I like to watch you. Can you see why that post is suspicious sounding?

I guess. Interesting LoRab. I see you jumped a vote on LC and have stuck around to throw out this opinion. Is this to cover your ass if LA flips something bad or murdering like? (I'm sorry, I'm not getting the whole concept yet)
Just something to watch. Just know I am.
Not sure why you find that nefarious. I'm not bad. I don't have BTSC with Nutella. I don't know what else to say, because nothing else has been mentioned about why I'm suspish.
I'm confused by this, because later you say that I'm more suspish than she is. I'm not connected to her. At this poing, I don't trust her and I find her more suspish than I did when I voted. I don't know what esle to say, because you haven't really said anything about me.Black Rock wrote:Well for my LoRab suspicion to work it would mean Nutella was her partner in murdering.S~V~S wrote:No,vote NutellaMatt wrote:Epi and Black Rock, follow Marmot!

My new theory (in my head) is that the Cylon/Human relationship is not so black and white and there will be murderers from both sides. Which means the Mafia team is made up of both. I just don't know which roles.
You already know that I like to watch you. Can you see why that post is suspicious sounding?
I hope you will realize as we move forward that I'm civ.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Two
sig, I don't understand why you're admonishing people for one extreme (assuming that Epignosis is a good cylon) and instead adopting the opposite extreme (that all cylons are bad). It is absolutely not clear that the cylons make up the mafia team (20 vs. 8 vs. 1 is not at all balanced). There are plenty of clues already in place that the game is not that simple. I agree with you that it'd be foolish to just assume Epi is good because of how his character behaves in the TV show, but if you're going to pursue his lynch then I need an actual case. "He's a confirmed cylon" is not a case.sig wrote:Matt wrote:Well, two reasons...Black Rock wrote:What's with the Marmot trust?Matt wrote:Epi and Black Rock, follow Marmot!
1) He joke voted Epi on Day One and got us a Cylon. A good cylon, but still.
2) Curiously, he is listed as "Marmot" on the poll, and I know Golden already "explained" it, but I can't help feel that it makes Marmot special somehow.
This was done in Turf Wars to and he turned out to be mafia.![]()
I think he's mafia and has you all fooled into believing he is a "good" cylon.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Two
I think the case from day 1 has merit, but I'll work on building one over the next phase. Also you're assuming it is 20 vs. 8 vs.1 there could be other third party humans and there's the final five in play.

In totally unrelated news, I just got Hamilton tickets for December. And you all should vote for and play Dom's and my Hamilton game when we post it and the next poll goes up. And, I'm more than excited to have gotten tickets. I felt a need to share.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Two
That's the problem. 20 vs. 8 vs. 1 is already majorly anti-town, and when you consider additional non-town humans and the final five cylon angle, it gets even worse. How does that make sense? Unless I am misunderstanding you.sig wrote:Also you're assuming it is 20 vs. 8 vs.1 there could be other third party humans and there's the final five in play.
