Damn! I was literally about to cast a vote... Day late and a dollar short... back to the drawing board....
Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Two
So say we all.
I'm thinking maybe every cylon has a certain ship tied to them? So like one ships = three cylons.
Also I'll point out Epi didn't seem to vote, but was planning to vote for LC.

Black Rock walked in and interrupted. “LC. We have a diaper situation. Can you please go to the armory and find some diapers. Stat.” Long Con rushed off in compliance.
“Thank goodness” said Black Rock “That’s the only time I can get a word in around here. As for my word, well, today it’s pretty simple.” She drew her gun, and shot nutella in the head.
Everyone was stunned. But not as stunned as they were when they discovered who she was.

BR - TY for the leg work. And I'm leaning to agree. I think LoRab and SD are the most likely candidates for teammates.

I would not rather do this. I'd rather you play the game with me. The fact that this is the second time I've asked you to play the game with me - is more damning to me than what anyone else says. I'm going to dig around nutella's ISO for interesting interactive dynamics. Before I begin though, I will qualify whatever I produce with this point: if there isn't a standard style of baddie team in this game (presumably with BTSC and knowledge of each other), then much of what I suggest will be meaningless.

Wait a tic. We got a baddie!!!
But this black hole business. If im reading it correctly (and I might not be because I'm drunk) does that mean what I just posted doesn't count because it's 2 hours late?
Indiglo, do we need to update the time slots?
Because it sounds like Math and I can barely count to -4 right now

She and ika (especially ika) are extremely stubborn with their opinions, this is just something that you accept and get used to over time.Spacedaisy wrote:Having to listen to Silverwolfs bullsuit about me for the next 72 hours is a foregone conclusion. Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Night Two
Things nutella said to/about a2thezebra:
nutella had quite a lot to say about Zebra, nearly all of it negative. She expressed suspicion of Zebra throughout her lifespan, and only seemed to back off mildly from it towards the end of Day 2. It is notable however that when Zebra and Long Con were both viable counterwagons to her own, nutella elected to place a begrudging vote on Long Con instead of Zebra. That's not the greatest look for Zebra. Eventually I'll try to qualify this by looking at Zebra's posts.
~~~
Things nutella said to/about bea:
That's it. I'd have to view the entire conversation in fuller context to get much from it. At the moment it inspires no feelings either way for me.
~~~
Things nutella said to/about Black Rock:
Most of this is in her conversations with Zebra and only indirectly about Black Rock. nutella sort of defended BR's honor while Zebra was casting suspicion on her, and to me it looks like she was trying to capitalize on a bad case by Zebra being made on a player not aligned with nutella. Good look for BR.
~~~
nutella said nothing to/about DFaraday.
~~~
Things nutella said to/about DrumBeats:
Drum gave nutella a little flak for her choice of "N" during the pre-game puzzle, and this was her response. This strikes me as a sincere accusation from Drum, so good look.
~~~
Things nutella said to/about Epignosis:
The second post in the spoiler is the point of interest, because the posts following it are essentially just her defending herself after being called out for that. I think it's safe to say that her claim that "she would have voted for Epig" had she not missed the vote was a belated credit grab. She wanted to partake in the pseudo-celebration of having just lynched a cylon without noting that it wasn't quite a certainty that he was actually bad. At face value I'd say that's a pretty bad look for Epignosis.
Storms are all over, and all power is on and good to go. And let me say... HOLY FRAK!!!! A lot happened, and that was a lot to absorb. I'm probably gonna be pretty stream of consciousness here because my mind is going a mile a minute...
That vote and lynch made LoRab look real bad. SD's reaction, coupled with some previous pinginess on her part aren't making her look good either.
LC, my apologies. After reading what went down, I am sorry. You will now find my opinion on you amended. Shocked, ain't ya?
But seriously, do you have to use the sledgehammer to accomplish what a tap on the shoulder could have just as easily accomplished?
Also, to whoever said they want to ISO me, I understand that completely, and can respect that reaction. Being human/civ/town does not mean being right all the time. I stand by the vote I made at the time, with the info I had at the time. Had I been able to be around longer throughout the EoD, my vote would indeed have changed. That may not carry much weight though, as I understand it is easy to say that after the fact.
Honestly, anyone who was around at EoD, saw everything that happened and was said in the thread, and STILL voted LC is kind of suspish to me. Eventually it became very apparent what was going on, I think, after reading the roles. I won't say more than that.
I really enjoyed reading all the discussion and such, that was beautiful teamwork. And see, I should have just voted with SW. Swear to god, that's who I was thinking of when I posted that thing about people whose opinions I trust and respect. You know, with as much grief as you and ika get for "play style"... your nose is damn good girl. I'm shaking my head at myself for not just going with your nose. Wolf indeed.
Will finish catching up, but DAMN. Two lynches, each on a cylon? And this one didn't get Rezzed? I'm seriously curious about the mechanics of that. If it's as long as destroy 1 Rezz ship before the next lynch, or what.
That vote and lynch made LoRab look real bad. SD's reaction, coupled with some previous pinginess on her part aren't making her look good either.
LC, my apologies. After reading what went down, I am sorry. You will now find my opinion on you amended. Shocked, ain't ya?
Also, to whoever said they want to ISO me, I understand that completely, and can respect that reaction. Being human/civ/town does not mean being right all the time. @ Admiral Goldama - Can you explain why Scotty's sortie was late? It was at 11:49 pm EST, as scheduled, so far as I can tell. Is this Black Hole affecting our sortie schedule? Can we have any more details on that? How is it affecting our sortie schedule exactly?
Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Two
I gotta be honest with ya'll, I'll suspect counterwagons whenever we lynch mafia (I'm assuming Nutella was mafia because of the show's lore). Which is why I'll add this disclaimer: I have not really townread Long Con; again, I'm merely looking at his voters exclusively from the POV of someone who suspects counterwagons.
Here is some stuff said by those who voted Long Con on D2 (Nerolunar, indiglo, Lorab, Spacedaisy, nutella, Glorfindel) that raises some degree of suspicion:
You did say previously that you felt weirded out by Nutella, though, and I'm inclined to consider that you didn't know she was mafia.
Is this an attempt to get us to think Zebra is mafia and get him lynched?nutella wrote:Now that my vote is even more meaningless I feel worse about itMy symbolic vote would be on Zebra.
Hmm.Nerolunar wrote:If you think Im going for low hanging fruit, look at the players voting for Nutella.
I have not played Turf Wars, so I dunno how Indiglo acted in that game, but Nutella might have tried to help indiglo give off a civ aura.Nerolunar wrote:Townreads so far:
Indiglo - looks just like Turf Wars
Drumbeats - Seems really transparent and genuine
Ika - Looks like usual Ika.
Scumreads:
Epignosis - Is usually more vocal iirc.
Inawordyes - see above
SVS - something is off, and I don´t know what.
Well, Im much more confident about my townreads than my scumreads. Lots of players Im not used to play with.
I think you owe us an apology. What is it that you know?indiglo wrote:I am going to vote my conscience, and go with LC. I encourage others to vote their conscience, and then hope we get a good outcome. Nutella's defenses read genuine to me, but what do I know? (Wait, maybe don't answer that?)
Again, sincere apologies if I am wrong, and I am open to amending my opinion on you after hearing more from you. Also, nothing personal.
You did say previously that you felt weirded out by Nutella, though, and I'm inclined to consider that you didn't know she was mafia.
Interesting LoRab. I see you jumped a vote on LC and have stuck around to throw out this opinion. Is this to cover your ass if LA flips something bad or murdering like? (I'm sorry, I'm not getting the whole concept yet)
Just something to watch. Just know I am.
Not sure why you find that nefarious. I'm not bad. I don't have BTSC with Nutella. I don't know what else to say, because nothing else has been mentioned about why I'm suspish.
I'm confused by this, because later you say that I'm more suspish than she is. I'm not connected to her. At this poing, I don't trust her and I find her more suspish than I did when I voted. I don't know what esle to say, because you haven't really said anything about me.Black Rock wrote:Well for my LoRab suspicion to work it would mean Nutella was her partner in murdering.S~V~S wrote:No,vote NutellaMatt wrote:Epi and Black Rock, follow Marmot!
Really, why vote Long Con if he hasn't even made your list?Spacedaisy wrote:Ok, I'm uncomfortable with all these candidates. Of all of them LC is the only one I had any slight suspicion of, but he wouldn't even have made my list. But I feel even less suspect of the other leading candidates. In particular Nutella, I'm not seeing baddie Nutella, though she could be fooling me I suppose. Anyway, I guess I'm voting LC.
Vote: Long Con
@ Polo, yes I apologized to LC, and amended my opinion on him. If you felt slighted by my vote, then yes, I apologize to you too. I did not know nutella was Mafia Cylon (which I truly believe to be the case), and yes I was pinged by her. Her responses to me (before I logged off) felt genuine. What do I know? I wonder that too.
Not as much as I'd like, mon ami. Not as much as I'd like.
In fact, speaking of what I do or do not know, I am trying to figure out WTFrak is going on with our sortie times. Naughty Goldama. I'm thinking, that he has merely amended our time frame for sorties to every 12 hours, instead of every 6 - to equalize the fact that this is a 48 hour night period. Was this the night period he said would be 48 hours due to Lady Goldama's birthday?
That's how I understand this: While one hour appears to pass to those of you in the fleet, two hours is passing in the outside world. And we need to go by "outside world" hours, rather than "fleet hours". Does this seem right to anyone else? My mind is in knots from it.
I will not be around that much today to answer questions etc. I'll pop in to answer as and when I can.
Also, the next night phase will be 48 hours. This is because my wife, who is quite patient with my mafia activities, is very unlikely to extend that patience to me running an end of night phase on her birthday (especially as it's one of those ones that ends with a zero). From time to time, phases may need to change in length for personal reasons. In cases where this happens, I will make the admirals revised jumping ability for that phase clear.
I just answered my own question. So yes, I believe we'll be down to 1 sortie every 12 hours. If everyone agrees, I'll amend the schedule, and post it, and then we can SORT out who wants to do what when.
See what I did there?
