Hello, fellow spectators!

Here is the link to Game 4.

The game starts at 8:00AM Eastern time tomorrow, Monday, May 16th. Day/Night cycles are 36/12 during the week and 60/12 on weekends.

I still haven't read any of the game yet, since I'm pretty busy working on PhD stuff, but I hope to later today! Intrigued to hear what you all think once you get to read as well.

I think JohnnyK may be mafia. His post reads as someone who has come in late and is struggling to figure out the safest reads and vote. I was stuck there in Guess Who twice and it ended up getting me lynched because no matter what I did it would look bad for me and I knew it. I'm thinking scum there.

Looks like this will have to wait until tomorrow at a minimum for me. Got too busy today and all my online free time has gone to Transistor and the Futurama endgame. Looking forward to reading it though!

I am mostly reading Golden civ ATM, but I'm not confident yet. I'm a bit confused by this clipped quote conversation. I don't personally see what difference the clip made, it reads the same to me both ways...

Yeah, I agree. These players, overall, with a few exceptions, seem somewhat less abrasive than some of the people TH played. They were srs bsns to the point of intimidating. MOST of these folks seem mellower.

I'd really like to, but finding time has been difficult. I wonder if I even should bother at this point because I'd hate to start and not stay caught up.

I'm glad to hear the players seem less abrasive; there definitely were some abrasive personalities last year, haha.

I think they set themselves up for that by getting rid of Romanov right away.

I wasn't feeling all that bad about zexy until post #862. She said inky would be the best option for a cfd because of their low posting and lack of content. What about JohnnyK orJowry? Makes no sense to me.

I'm still seeing a town Golden. I haven't paid close enough attention to everyone else to have an idea of whether I agree with his reads. I think he has established himself as an important presence though, and given that he has drawn some suspicion if he can find a way to hang around he should have a nice chance of being voted to advance.

Golden was the primary driver of that successful Phighter lynch. I hope he gets the credit he deserves for that when the endgame voting comes around.

So I've still not properly read the thread, but I have occasionally popped in and just read the most recent page(s). I'm with you there, and I think he will, but I suppose you never know. Hopefully he can make it to endgame.

Whiskeyjack seemed to be functioning as the defacto town leader early in the game, but Golden may have wrested that away from him -- a good thing when end game voting comes around.

Yeah Whiskey was trying hard to set himself up that way early with things like "well if you can only read a few posts to catch up,read mine for the town perspective"

Nice start from Sloonei, I like it. I read him as town (I always do

) but I like his start even if he is a baddie.

Town read on Sloonei. He's playing loose and he's getting in people's faces in a manner that bears a chance of real productivity. He's generating interactions and making noise, and at a pace that I think gives him a good chance of long-term survival if sustained. That alone is often important for being voted onward, since nobody remembers the Day 1 loudmouth who got lynched/killed immediately (the wild card judges might remember).

Yes, indeed. I hope Sloonei doesn't end up like Zexy, who I think deserved a lot more credit in voting but got nked day two. If Sloonei keeps this pace and is town there is a real shot at him being perceived as a town leader if he survives until at least day 3.

Yikes. Whichever one of those Night 1 kills was of town vigilante origin was really bad. And that confirms for me that Sloonei is not the vig, because there's no way in hell he does that.

I bet the vig kill was Frog. But, yeah, it's a bit like my game in that way. After day one I realised I couldn't trust the vig. Glad to see Sloonei is alive. No-one remembers the day one guy.

I expect if the final has a town vig they will be more.... discerning. The heats are such a mixed bag.

Also... Augustus had the same derp that one of the townies had in my game, about not understanding what a strongman does... inclined to think it is a genuine derp.

Yes. It's the exact same move Phighter pulled 'lynch mango and then you'll see golden is wrong about me'. Identical.

I'm feeling pretty ok about sloon's chances of making the final right now. It's still an upward climb but I feel like he is town and town could win this if they are smart.

Well...

Sloonei didn't lynch Malcolm. He went in a different direction.

If he is good he could be in NK danger tonight. I think his push on Agent was wise.

It's still possible he's bad though, and if so he is equally playing a great game.

This can be Sloonei's moment if he has enough time to seize it. The second mislynch is a demoralizer, and the calming and patient influence of forensic Sloonei could be just the medicine.

Jackofhearts reads really scummy to me. Sloonei is still sitting in a pack of people who could get voted through but at least he should be surviving a couple more days yet.

Xardob also looks terrible for that post about why the town is going to lose, which had logic leaps all over the show.

I've gone back to maybe Jack being ok, and the baddies being FCD, Xardob, Agent.

This game reminds me a lot of my own, it bears some striking similarities. Still, I'm worried that sloonei won't get the credit he deserves because, unlike me, he is part of a sea of fish swimming in the same direction and doesn't need to convince anyone. I hope people realise that, especially if FCD is bad, he pretty much called the baddie team out on day one.

Generally agreed, Golden. I think Sloonei needs to find a way to stand out in the crowd. I was in a similar position in my qualifier last year, and I think I won people over with my typical scum interaction ISOs (I was fortunate enough to arrive at sound reads). If he can shove a lot of good content into the thread, even if he ends up where he already was, I think that would benefit him. It depends on how much time he has of course.

Sloonei is trying hard, but I fear Augustus and madchemist will get the credit because they are being more consistently townread and sloonei is the tinfoil target.

Or, sloonei is actually bad, which would be an awesome twist.

The burning question... what alignment is Sloonei?
