Re: RED vs. BLUE: Day 1
Maybe. I'll concern myself with the vote I place instead of potential team dynamics. I think Sloonei is right that INH looks bad for placing an important vote while dropping all the responsibility for it on Sloonei's head instead of shouldering it himself.Ricochet wrote:
I don't really get that vibe, @realDonaldTrump. Sloonei did vote Scotty and has only just now moved it. I actually appreciate that he's willing to view multiple angles of that "trap" he set, including how other people respond to it -- in this case INH. If Scotty is town, I don't think that implies Sloonei is mafia. If Scotty is mafia, I do think that implies Sloonei is town.Ricochet wrote:

Arghhh ive been away, I'm behind again and now see the light slowly fading.
Too much to respond to within 30 minutes.
I didn't NO-U Sloonei because I didn't know if that was a baddie or civ mindset. I felt manipulated by his leading of the witness, but like someone said, if he is wrong in his antics (which he is) and bad, then he's so dead on D2. I just think he's a bit too smug about thinking he caught me saving my teammate in Quin or whatever.
Quin, I think it was you who said it was suspicious if I change up my day 1 strategies from my norm. Damned if I do, damned if I don't. I don't like giving tone reads on day 1, because I'm generally bad at them, but I figured practice makes perfect. It in this case, practice makes me get lynched day 1. So...cumquats.
Epi, I answered your question. MM said you were a suspect, and he stuck to it. As for his reasoning, yeah, it's weak, but at least he's making an accusation. That's why I view him as more civ than usual.
And thanks for the NO-U leetic, without word.
Probably not enough time to save me, so that's fine. Good luck civs.
Please investigate Wilgy after today. His random blah posting and throwaway vote Rings fishy to me

Re: RED vs. BLUE: Day 1
This is what I was afraid of. I am inclined to believe Scotty that he wanted to mix up his Day 1 methods after getting crap for it frequently in recent memory. Scotty: if you're town and this doesn't end in your favor, I'd still encourage you to keep trying in future games. At least then people won't be able to say it's atypical.Scotty wrote:Quin, I think it was you who said it was suspicious if I change up my day 1 strategies from my norm. Re: RED vs. BLUE: Day 1
It's fine. It never hurts in the long run to keep changing strategies. My day 1 low poster thing evolved from getting too involved in day 1 and often getting either mislynched day 1 or nightkilled that night, plus possibly getting a baddie, so I'm not completely averse to trying new things.JaggedJimmyJay wrote:This is what I was afraid of. Re: RED vs. BLUE: Day 1

Why! 100% defending on leetic. Like, no variation.
IDK! INH reads JJJ "right" for the "wrong" reasons. Either a classic case of I'm-reading-X-civ-because-he-wouldn't-play-this-wonky-if-bad
Null! (in current context) his own gameplay stance explanation
Shady! A fluff of a banter in reaction to Epignosis' suss on Jaggy' Jay.
Shady! Complete gloss over four different player histories or viewpoints.
Pickle! agrees with Scotty that Sloonei might be barkin' at Quin too hard, but almost 24 hours later returns only to openly wagon on Scotty to test Sloonei's "trustiness". At worst, we can project either A) INH is bad and turning arms against teamie Scotty, in light of Scotty facing lynch; B) INH dripping inconsistency all on his own, regardless of possible connections

Better! His recent rebuttal just now, but moreover for parts like "I felt manipulated by [Sloonei's] leading of the witness" or "I just think he's a bit too smug about thinking he caught me saving my teammate in Quin or whatever." or "Epi, I answered your question. MM said you were a suspect, and he stuck to it. As for his reasoning, yeah, it's weak, but at least he's making an accusation." that strikes as believe, less so his reply to Quin, at least imo (just getting a null out of it tbh).
Could be ok! FWIW, his spook to Sloonei having previously baddie read him together with Quin, followed by a withdrawal of support for Qiun, reads fairly genuine.
Trump-reader pickle! Both Sloonei's full charge on Scotty: ("...you seemed to trust me enough there to follow along in a vote that you've got no substantial reason to believe in, despite claiming to believe in it. You've also got no substantial reason to trust me, just a minute ago you were complaining that I haven't been active enough, and now I'm here and I'm throwing this bullshit in your face, so why are you listening to me?) and Scotty's oversight of Sloonei's badlink of him with Quin read genuine on their own. What to make of this?
Meh! Hokey garbage first walkthrough of reads.
Null! Second, meatier round of reads, but we notice a significant amount of "nulls" (MP, Epig) and "fluffs" (Sloonei), besides addressing the hot Jaggy' vs Rick super-slam story. Questions Beck with a "what if faking". Bad GTHs Quin, which later gets him in polemics with Sloonei.
Null! Focuses on Sloonei until the latter arrives and starts looking into things. If mafia, maybe tried to start a fire and begin placing Sloonei in a pot over it.
Snafu moment!
Bit iffy! Insistence on drawing bad reads from not remembering what low-posters wrote.
Iffy! Switch to leetic (for "better reasons" brought by JJJ). How exactly did Scotty come to conclusion that JJJ's case is made with "better reasons"?
Flippy-floppy wifomy! Checking the inactives, but pondering to change his D1 MO for once.

Scotty's response to Epignosis isn't very persuasive.
He does make a good point to Quin. I said I was changing my Day 1 tactic, and Quin had nothing to say about it. Scotty changes his Day 1 tactics, and gets suspected for it.

INH put all the responsibility for his own vote on Sloonei's shoulders.insertnamehere wrote:I'm going to throw my vote onto the Scotty bonfire. Him and Sloonei are probably my two most suspicious people at this point, and I'm willing to give Sloonei a chance to earn my trust here. Plus I really don't like the Leetic bandwagon, so helping to derail that is a nice bonus.

If he isn't committed to the game, he wouldn't need to make up an accusation. What he said is irrelevant to what I said.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Yet he did make an accusation. Do you think he is forcing it, or not committed to the game?

I think INH is bad and saw an easy opportunity to spin tomorrow's lynch on me if/when Scotty flips town. Vote for him.

Re: RED vs. BLUE: Day 1
I'm voting Scotty.
I don't see anything in the post that Jay mentioned to vote for leetic. I don't have time to look at inh. Preceding Scotty's flip, I don't like Jay's actions at the end of this lynch. I know he likes to push buttons, but the reasons for lynching Scotty are stronger to me than elsewhere.
