Oh jeez for some reason I was thinking we had another 24 hours. One of my votes is going to DDL today. I need to figure out the second.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 7]
I've decided not to vote for people because they ask for it. It gets too confusing. I completely understand the move (I perform it myself sometimes!!!) but when there are so many different people who ask for it it's harder for me to make sense of. But my votes are already cast anyway. One of them was going to scotty, so I wouldn't have ever voted both you and DDL.Bass_the_Clever wrote:No vote me against DDL.Golden wrote:I'm townreading bass too. I won't be voting that way.
Scotty said he would get back to responding to my points, but he never did.
Elo's points about simon have led me to drop my simon suspicion.
I'm voting for scotty and DDL.
Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 7]
I am nowhere close to catching up, but am keeping up with current posting. It sounds as though it is important to Bass to prove a point, so I'm going there. At first I had the impression that he was pursuing Quin, but he now seems ok with DDL, and I want to see where this leads. Bass and DDL

Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

Scotty never responded to my post on him, and his recent posts haven't made me think better of him. Voting Bass and Scotty.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 7]
I'm considering Russ and leetic for my second vote. Neither has provided much of anything this game. leetic was a no-show in Red vs Blue as well, so he's a complete shot in the dark/"trimming the dead weight" as Boomslang put it. Russ has provided a bit more content, but appears only loosely interested. I am hesitant to commit to a scum read on him though, because I think a bad guy would feel a bit more motivation to post things. Unless he lost two teammates right off the bat, perhaps. I dunno, I wasn't here for Days 1 & 2.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 7]
Golden and DF, I'm sorry I didn't get to you. I said it would be hectic on my end. And I'm sorry I've shot up your suspicion board today because of it.
I don't want to vote for either of these choices but it would appear my vote won't matter today unless I choose to vote for one or both of DDL and Bass.
Bass has been asking for it, and again, so did timmer and Caps. So
Nutella I'm most suspicious of you because of your votes and the fact that I was suspicious of you before I was silenced yesterday.
I'm gonna leave the DDL and Bass line alone. I feel like Bass is a warrior of some sort, dunno about DDL. I'm not comfortable voting for him.
Voting Nutella and INH for consistency sake. Hope to have bigger explanations tomorrow if I get more time off

This is the most inactive I've ever been, and I apologize. I was in DC all weekend for a bachelorette thing, and have come back to crazy work full-swing. I don't want to miss another vote, and I also know I'll never catch up, as I don't even have time to catch up with real life stuff. I'm gonna vote DDL and myself. DDL because I think I possibly had an inkling ages ago and maybe even voted for him before, and myself because why not.

Day 8: The Nanman Woo a Spy
大衛·鮑伊
When the Nanman menace became too much to bear, a woman named Sor Sha took it upon herself to trek through the jungles of Nanzhong in order to gain intelligence regarding their methods, culture, and plans. The elders of her city ridiculed her because she was a lustful woman, and could not control her lechery.Sor Sha successfully made it to the Nanman king’s most secretive lair. It when then that Meng Huo himself brought her into her palace and offered her the company of one of his captives, Da Wei Bao Yi, whom he kept in a labyrinth of hedges, walls, and strange beasts.
When Meng Huo described Da Wei Bao Yi, Sor Sha became filled with desire, and vowed to find this hidden man. She never came out of the maze. It is unknown what became of her or the subject of her desire.
What fate befell the evil Nanman king will be relayed in future chapters.
Sorsha has been killed by the Nanman.
It is now Day 8. You have 48 hours and two votes each to decide the who will be in the fourth duel.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 8]
That lynch yesterday kinda spiraled out of control at the end and I'm not a big fan of it. Everyone just came in and chucked votes driveby-style at the two candidates and called it a day. Way too easy for bad guys to blend into that sort of thing, but it's been so rampant in this game that it will be hard to shake out who's who in that pile.

That is a really good way to exclude all the people who didn't do the exact thing you suggested for an entire days conversation on the first post of the day.
Also that is a bit of an unusual kill for the Nanman MO. Sorsha wasn't exactly loud. Perhaps something changed on the team. The death of a ringleader perhaps?

I just did not get any dishonest vibes from him at any ooint yesterday. His strategy made more sense to me the more he fleshed it out, and I see no reason for a scum player to have taken the strategy that he used to such great lengths. He completely gambled with his life in this game and won. I don't see a bad guy doing that so confidently.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 8]
That is a bit of a head scratcher. He never dropped his suspicion of you, but he did go from being especially vocal about wanting to lynch you to being okay with DDL instead without much attention or anything. At the start his eagerness to be sent to the duel was abot his confidence that you were bad, but as the votes took shape he continued to be content with dueling against DDL, like the target was never really relevant in the first place.
I wonder why he was so confident about his chances in that duel, but there's so many unknown factors to really make an alignment judgment off of that.

It's possible they simply intrigue him and he wants to collect some of their potential powers himself. I do not necessarily read him as bad for that, but it is a consideration. I had completely forgotten the treasures existed until he brought them up.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 7]
In previous games I have made the same criticism of you: you don't know my game, but act like you do.MacDougall wrote:For you to claim you have a solid grasp of my civ game to the point of being able to observe that anything I do is in keeping with it is absurd. And if you are producing that as case quality evidence then how is my tone in keeping with the Mafia me, whom you would have more experience playing with I believe.LoRab wrote:I don't think I've ever seen a baddie silencer who didn't silence a teammate at some point in the game, usually multiple times. So point 3 doesn't hold for me.
My challenge with you is that your tone is off. It's not just that you're phoning in the game, it's that the way you state things isn't in keeping with your civ game.
Also, that you completely discount anyone that suspects you, not only as being wrong, but painting them as being bad because they suspect you.
That isn't going to keep me from suspecting you. And, honestly, only makes you look worse to me.
Also, there are evil indies in this game, so saying that you're not on either mafia team doesn't really convince me that you are civ.
I am not painting anyone who suspects me as bad. I was just dishing out some standard brand omgus so meta in essence it wore itself as a hat. But you wouldn't pick that up because despite your belief that I scum read you in every game, here we are yet again with you scum reading me. Have you ever not?
(I was bad and you were civ in all of those games)
you are bad.

I still interested in face you. I think you are scum and I'm willing to prove it, unlike you who doesn't have the balls to back up your suspicions. I don't care if I die because I will flip civ. Also the treasures might have some powers that could help the mafia that's why I'm concerned about then. As to why I was cool face ddl last phase was because I figure towards the end no one wanted to get behind a Quinn lynched so I moved on to the next person who I thought might be bad. Quinn why aren't you willing to prove your points in a duel. I'm selling to die and flip because I know I've been honest and have nothing to be scared of even if I die it helps the town because it shows them I was honest. As for the treasures you should care. You think they are useless paper weights? I have backed up my suspicions, Bass. Over and over again. I don't need to put myself in the line of fire just for the sake of my pride. As long as the person I vote for flips bad, that's good enough for me.Bass_the_Clever wrote:I still interested in face you. In what world does your honesty help if you wind up dead, Bass? You should care whether you die. You're a number that we need, and your death right now does absolutely nothing for anybody. If you flip civ, what then, Bass? Who would it implicate? What do we do?
I never said I didn't care about the items, Bass. I just haven't been working them into every second post like you have.
I cannot possibly see a scenario where a civ is so confident in pursuing a train of thought like this. Entirely based on the fact that I'm still alive and not willing to put myself on the chopping block for the sake of pride? For god's sake.
Let's talk about something else, Bass, because I just cannot fathom this anymore. Who's your top scum read besides me? Why?

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 8]
Well with so many people not posting I find it hard to focus on anyone else if I'm being honest. I think we might need to weed out some of the nonposters . I would like to duel again if that's ok with everyone elsem

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 8]
I agree with the first half of this post, to an extent. I'm always wary of the strategy of trying to figure out which silent person's silence is the most nefarious, and prefer to suss out things from the content that does exist. But in this game we have an abundance of inactives, and that's going to be nothing but a hindrance if it continues. The best case scenario is for those people to just start posting.Bass_the_Clever wrote:Well with so many people not posting I find it hard to focus on anyone else if I'm being honest. To everyone who is behind on the thread and feeling overwhelmed: Do not worry about it! I have not read anything from Days 1 and 2 of this game, or some other things in between. I've just been engaging in discussion with the time I've had in the thread and I feel like it's working. If you feel overwhelmed by the size of this thread, do not bother with it. Just let us know you are here and what's going on in your head. Please.

Am I bad? You called me out for something to start this day. I'm not sure what you think of me right now.MacDougall wrote:I am not bad. Not everyone exhibits your scum behaviour. You are not archetypal.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 8]
See the whole reason you started your case against me is because I voted early saying I was trying to start a bandwagon. Nope that's not why I voted so early it's so I didn't miss the vote or forget about it. Maybe you miss the vote on purpose? Because if you go into a duel not confident you've already lost.Sloonei wrote:That is a bit of a head scratcher.
