What does Quin's Mad Max game have to do with conviction? Broad strokes man, broad strokes.Scotty wrote:What's waffly about it?a2thezebra wrote:The feeling is mutual since your most recent post quoting Snow Dog is waffly as shit.
Linki:did you even look at Quin's Mad Max game?
So you havent read through that game. Quin was all about conviction. He voted Dom almost all (if not all) game. He was convinced Dom was bad, and wouldn't take no for an answer and backed up hiscase.. it seemed like a way-too-tunnely civ who had too much conviction. And he wasn't civ. Not at all.a2thezebra wrote:What does Quin's Mad Max game have to do with conviction? And it's waffly because you gave him implicit townie points because his "all my best friends died" post seemed genuine (which it isn't AT ALL) while then going on to play with the suggestion that he could be on the baddie team that didn't kill the friends he missed. That's exactly what I mean when I say too much conviction is better than not enough. When you give a nearly equal amount of town points and baddie points to the same player for the same post, you might as well not have said anything.
What difference would that make?Scotty wrote:I have to go do a show but would like to evaluate LC next.
Nacho, nijuu, post more.
Wilgy, check your PM. Mac is right, at some point we should just lynch you in order to avoid it turning to WIFOM o'clock
Is there really any need to be so rude? The two are MP and Epignosis (plus llama but he isn't playing). and I think you are right. i would be reluctant to lynch them or kill them. Atleast early on in the game.Scotty wrote:This post seems genuine. I'm not so sure you would have been fine killing your friends so early. Which ones were your friends exactly? This is why I asked a question early on as to who would not feel comfortable killing someone as part of a larger meta. And you certainly fit the bill.
You still could have killed DF and Quin
You've got some nerve asking those two questions after your last exchange with Quin.Snow Dog wrote:Is there really any need to be so rude? saying I'm full of shit is attacking my playstyle?a2thezebra wrote:At least I was attacking your alignment rather than your playstyle. This is what I mean when I talk about this obscene double standard.
You haven't read through the post you're quoting. I said broad strokes, there's an implicit "as a whole" at the end of my original question. Just because Quin used conviction doesn't mean that any instance of conviction we see here (from other players no less, but him as well) can justifiably be associated with it. That's way too vague. And you know we were teammates right? You don't need to inform me that he wasn't civ.Scotty wrote:So you havent read through that game. Quin was all about conviction. As for my Snowdog post: I'm sorry you don't agree with my sentiment that it looked genuine. But we're playing with 2 teams here, and I even went on to state that even if I think he didn't kill his friends, I put out that he could have been on the team that didn't kill his friends. I fail to see the waffle. It's more of a pancake.
You attack my playstyle and no one, including myself, calls you rude. I attack your alignment and immediately you say that I'm being rude.Snow Dog wrote:I don't have a clue what the fuck you are talking about you weirdo.a2thezebra wrote:You've got some nerve asking those two questions after your last exchange with Quin.Snow Dog wrote:Is there really any need to be so rude? I didn't say that too much conviction was a good thing, if that was my point then why would I even say "too much"? I said it's better than the other extreme which it most certainly is.Snow Dog wrote:Too much conviction gets civs lynched.

My biggest ping of Scotty is in fact that he claims to find that post genuine. I get that disagreeing with someone doesn't always mean suspecting them for their opinion, but holy shit. HOW DOES THAT POST SEEM GENUINE AT ALL IN ANY UNIVERSEsig wrote:I disagree this doesn't seem very genuine to meScotty wrote:This post seems genuine. In fact it seems kinda scummy.
I don't think it's that odd. I don't have to trust Nacho to believe that his point of view on Wilgy is right. And I don't see any connection at all between my accusation of MP's buddying, and the Wilgy-Nacho situation. I don't automatically accuse people of buddying just for defending a person, or agreeing with them. It takes a lot more.Soneji wrote:Seems they have gone more the route of letting the activity slow down to a crawl rather than try to take the lead now that most of the top level/most active players are dead. The players I was watching this phase were Long Con and Nacho. As I pointed out in my ISO of Long Con, he backed off of Wilgy due to Nacho's insistence that Wilgy's role PM antics weren't scum indicative. This was odd to me considering LC going after MP for supposed buddying but then allowing someone he has no reason to trust to sway his view on another player, rather than suspecting them of buddying/defending a scummate. That Nacho has fallen off the face of the earth in activity after d1 is a big red flag.
My vote will be on LC or Nacho today.
I thought he died again thoVompatti wrote:motel room died and later replaced someone k
