Hi H! The Denim Shirt's Player's Name will be in the lynch poll, but s/he won't die even if s/he receives the most number of votes. (Remember that poll results might be misleading as one player can add +2 to a player's/players' tally(ies), and one player can subtract -1 to a player's vote tally).Metalmarsh89 wrote:I don't understand!!!Mongoose wrote:That's a very fair question, and I've updated the role accordingly for clarification purposes.Scotty wrote:

For equanimity, yes, the kill does pass to the baddie teammates.Scotty wrote:lol don't sweat it, MongooseGetting these questions out go the way before the game starts.
If overalls are killed, how does mafia operate in killing from then on? Does the team inherit the action of killing every night?Mongoose wrote:Scotty wrote:Called = killedScotty wrote:I have a follow up question for @Mongoose if what you assume is true:
If overalls are called, do they then gain the ability to kill every night without fail? Is that ability passed on in any capacity?
And my previous post should read Mongolia = Mongoose
That autocorrect made me laugh. Overalls have the ability to kill every night ab initio (barring normal game mechanics, such as blocking, etc).
Can you clarify for the record what you mean by the ability being passed on? To another character?
This might be important because overalls already looks like it can be potentially tangled up to not kill on a night as an advantage to civs.
I like people asking questions of each other. Asking questions of the host isn't going to locate baddies. Also, I like stifling discussion. I think it's a distraction. Pretending not to understand the rules fills up space and gives you illusion of participation, but it accomplishes nothing in the hunt for evil doers. It also makes for tedious ISOs later in the game.Scotty wrote:But then why am I suspicious for asking questions? Did you originally think my questions were coming from a disengenuous viewpoint? I think you are mistaking odd numbers for prime numbers.Metalmarsh89 wrote:A number is considered oddly even if it is only divisible by one (1) even number.Mongoose wrote:This is an excellent question. The right strap can only kill on even nights and the left strap on odd nights, so it's impossible for both straps to be loose at the same night since a night cannot be both even and odd (watch llama have an explanation for how this is possible).Long Con wrote:With a maximum potential of 2 baddie nightkills each night, if both straps come loose?Mongoose wrote:Since there is only one Baddie/Mafia team, they have the ability to kill nightly.JaggedJimmyJay wrote:That wasn't my interpretation. Mongoose, if you're able to clarify anything about this that'd be swell. If not, okee dokee.
So Night 2 will see two (2) nightkills.

I don't know how serious llama was about his initial accusation, but I do think Sorsha's response to it is suspicious. In the earliest stages of a game, it can be genuinely difficult for a baddie to respond to an assertive accusation, even when the baddie knows the accusation can't possibly be informed by anything substantial. There's still the matter of forcing out a response of some kind and trying to look legitimate in the process. Sometimes when I have found myself in that position, my response has been to offer a jokey retort to my accuser rather like Sorsha's here. The purpose is that it alleviates the pressure of the accusation by adding levity and humor to the exchange, and generally other players aren't going to be pinged by that. The problem is that it evidences a desire to respond without an accompanying desire to explore. Sorsha does not seem interested in why llama threw poop at her. I just typed a whole paragraph about that post you guys!Sorsha wrote:I didn't hear you call dibs on the space station llama

I agree with this sentiment. Feeling okay about llama today. I thought I was seeing an association between this game and bad llama in the latest burglary, in which he attacked Made for being too enthusiastic, but Made was indy there so he may have been legitimately hunting to a degree there.thellama73 wrote:I like people asking questions of each other. Could you describe what you suspect Scotty's motivation may have been to ask that question if he's bad?Quin wrote:Yeah. It didn't leave me with a good taste in my mouth.
Although, the thing about Scotty is (and I imagine I'm not the only one who's noticed this) that he tends to take a lot of suspicion on in the early game, and becomes a lot easier to read after that initial hump. To an extent I'm considering just putting this in my arsenal for a rainy day.

Feigning activity. It doesn't feel like derp-clearing, like what you brought up before.
