i completely forgot that I need every single player to PM a number between one and five to indicate which hut you want to hide in from Trogdor. Please and thank you. Anyone who fails to do so will be automatically it into the hut Trogdor chooses.

Spacedaisy - In Trogdor's description, it says he picks which hut to kill from.

1) During the first hut phase, did Trogdor pick a hut to kill from?

2) I forget, did you randomize who Trogdor would kill, or did he pick who to kill?

3) IF Trogdor picked which hut to kill from, and IF you randomized who would be killed, is it possible he had the chance to kill himself if he picked the hut that he was in, or was he automatically taken off the list of potential victims?

I hope all of that makes sense. If you don't get it...nevermind. Haha.

Just an observation, I'm not saying this is true at all...

It would be very clever if DP or Borok were Trogdor, and picked their own hut.

There are very solid badie reasons also of course.

I was born a long time ago. My father was a welder and my mother was a retired tarot reader. We lived in a little house in the countryside. Every morning my father would get up at 5.30, make coffee, fetch the newspaper from the mailbox by foot, read the paper, drink the coffee, make six large sandwiches for lunch and drive to the city in his rusty red pick-up. When he got home at five in the afternoon he would have dinner, fill out a crossword puzzle, read a book and go to sleep at nine. I mostly saw him during the weekends and hardly ever heard him speak.

One day my father didn't come home. It was six in the afternoon and mother had made mashed potatoes and chicken, both of which were already getting cold. She was just about to reheat the food in the oven when the phone rang. From what I heard of the conversation it was evident that my father had accidentally drilled a hole through his left hand, fainted of the shock, hit his head on the drilling machine and died instantly.

The funeral was on a Sunday. My mother and I went there on bicycles because we were in a hurry and my mother couldn't find her driver's licence. I don't remember much of the event, but I do remember one thing: just when the minister was finishing his speech and preparing to toss a shovelful of dirt on the coffin, I saw an ethereal figure hovering up from the grave. It had my father's appearance, but it seemed to be wearing a feminine dress. It floated in the air for just a few seconds and then faded out of sight.

I never did ask my mother if she had seen the same as me, nor did I see anything like it myself until many years later when I had moved away from home to dwell in a small rectangular room in the city. It was a freezing winter night and I was on my way home from the cinema where I had sat right next to a cute red-haired girl who had a blister on her lower lip. I was thinking of this girl and regretting not talking to her when I passed by one of those fancy nightclubs where the music is as repulsive as the beer is expensive, and on the brightly lit sign above the entrance sat the ghost of my father in a sparkly red gown.

He beckoned to me and I cautiously approached. He did not speak to me in words, but I could vaguely sense there was something he was trying to tell me. I've never been much of a psychic, and all I could make out of what he in his incorporeal state could not utter was this:

"Once all brought a well and an and where the found called every that thought perish took that I and I might Deadly me belated. Ah myself, butts. I fled springtime and in selfishness the treasure. Dreaming, chewing the idea and downed everything where steel shouts crime-infested care for me fool all my death. I myself, bitter, foul, seek Beauty in your form, my withered banquet waiting frightful. Damned, strangled, now every heart taken ready. Madness, memory, silent executioners, I too played with the devil, revealed my desires, oh to have you stay, this idiot laugh against the sand."

I thought long and hard but could not grasp what these words meant. And before I could ask for a clarification, the ghost was gone. In fear that I might forget what I had been told I quickly sat myself down on the cold sidewalk, grabbed a pen from my pocket and wrote the speech on the back of an old movie ticket as accurately as I could remember it. Ever since that day it has been a habit of mine to sit down at my desk every morning to examine this ticket and meditate on what the mysterious sentences written on it could possibly express.

What I mean is...

Why would you auto assume I'm bad just because I thought Llama was?

From what I've seen, you've been calling Llama bad well before I ever did, and then after my post, you ran with it even more. Suddenly, you say if Llama flips civvie, you're looking at me. What about you then?

I dun git it.

Oh, and yes, please extend Daisy. I want to live as long as possible!
Because I've seen people such as MP and Epignosis (I think) build large, totally believable cases on people they know aren't baddies. Or at least people who are not on their team...

Anywho, I do see your point and understand you questioning me. I hope you can understand my reasoning. I'm not really looking at you anymore.

I'm fine with extending the nighttime, Daisy! Do whatever you need to do! :)

Alright. I got out of my meeting for work early this morning (Yay!) and didn't have to go in afterward (Double Yay!). So I've spent the better part of the last 90 or so minutes re-reading/skimming the entire thread. I feel like after yesterday's lynch, I needed to clear my mind and start over. Because even with my vote, I was very unsure if that was a good place to look or not. Some of my feelings about old suspicions have gone away completely, and I have some new ones to replace them. Hopefully this time it's a bit more concrete.

1) MP's vote for Vomps (and to a lesser extent, his vote for llama) really stood out to me. I can also see where people are coming from when they said it felt like MP was trying to figure out who got info on Day 0, then started telling people to stop volunteering what happened to them in the thread. Granted, it could also be he came to the realization that it was a bad idea. But something about his tone doesn't sit well with me.

2) I'm starting to think that Matt might have just been on one of his "crazy early theories" trails with his big case. The only person who even stood out any to me afterward was JC. I think some of her responses were note-worthy. I will keep my :eye: on her for now, but I'm not leaning toward voting for her yet. I would need much stronger evidence than I have now. Plus she's one of the few people I will probably never be able to read.

3) The way the vote went down yesterday makes me suspicious of Devin much more so. I could see some potential saving from teammates occurring in that instance. While you could certainly say the same for llama, I'm leaning toward it being more likely that llama is civvie and Devin is baddie for now.

I think what happens tonight could give us some useful information going forward. That's all I have for now unless there are questions directed at me.

Well, I tried to wait, but also, I don't my vote caused you any harm either. :p

Your reply was to Matt F's entire post, so I mostly agreed with it. I highlighted only one part. Your confusion over which game Llama meant. Thats what I was waiting for a reply to.

Also, Matt F, I realized from your comment that maybe when I mentioned their dialogue wouldnt be that careless you thought I meant the fictional one you provided us. I actually meant the quotes you provided of the actual in-thread dialogue. I don't think if Llama, juliets, and Dom were teammates they would have carelessly interacted, providing information for each other in-thread. Not a criticism of your fun creative interpretation of what could have happened.

So I have your vote, then?? Sweet!! :D :hugs: Although, if I'm going to be properly elected you should really consider voting for during the Day period after the next. Why don't I just elect you Mayor of Zombieland now, you ask? Because, I don't think my inauguration will go down this time. Just feeling. OK, first off, can I get a few synopses? This is a big thread, and I am totally unfamiliar with the subject.

Second, what were peoples opinions on reywaS? If I am walking into a problem, I want to know about it up front.

OK, first off, can I get a few synopses? This is a big thread, and I am totally unfamiliar with the subject.

Second, what were peoples opinions on reywaS? If I am walking into a problem, I want to know about it up front.
Day 1: Nobody knew what was going on. There was a ton of speculation about the video. I accused Mongoose of sidetracking the baddie hunt. A bunch of people voted for a bunch of other people. Elohcin got lynched (with votes tied with Vompatti) and flipped baddie. There was much rejoicing.

Night 1: Bullzeye and Kate were murdered, very tragically. I thought Bullzeye might have been bad, but had no real opinion on Kate yet.

Day 2: Accusation went flying. I suspected Hedgeowl because she voted for Vompatti to tie against Elohcin, but she gave an assured performance and convinced me she was innocent at the last minute. MP thinks I'm bad for reasons not entirely clear to me. So does Davin, and so does Matt F. They say I sound inauthentic, or something. Matt F is convinced that juliets and me and Dom are on a team. BigDamnHero thinks MP is shifty. I was convinced that Devin was planning to take me down with carefully laid in posts of his suspicion for me. BWT and BigDamnHero (and now I guess Vompatti) told ghosts stories for some reason. As the lynch votes poured in, it looked like I would be a goner. Then the Animal Sanctuary Squad came to my rescue (except Hedgeowl, who chickened out and refused to take sides,) piling on votes for Devin. But it was not enough. I had the most lynch votes at the end of the poll. Yet, here I am. My only conclusion is that the civvie lynch stopper helped me out, for which I am very grateful. Other people seem to think I am an unlynchable baddie. That is not the case, but if it stops me getting lynch votes, I'm at least happy for that.

I didn't really have a read on reywaS, personally. He didn't post much.

If everyone else in the thread this minute can give me something similar from their perspective, that will make my read tonight easier, knowing what I'm looking at.

I can't believe it's only Day two, I have it set at 40 or 50 ppp, and I am at 21 pages :o

Actually, after my re-read today, I would say that sounds fairly accurate. I would add that Matt F's....uhhhhh, example case maybe(?) (Idk what else to call it) was intriguing. But I'm thinking now that it was just one of the big, wacky theories he sometimes puts out early in games. After all, this was the guy in SFU who got lynched after he faked being cursed just because he felt like doing it. His playstyle can be very out there sometimes.

Also, MP's case/suspicion against Vomps on Day 1 I believe? Sorry, that re-read of the entire game made a few things blur together.

SVS, welcome to the madness that is this game! Llama, wow. Great job with the synopsis!

I would add what I said back before the lynch:
Leamiteo wrote:I am wary of all the llama, MP, Mongoose, vompy, Hedgeowl talk. I have no clue who to believe because of all the finger pointing and you-must-be-bad-oh-wait-no-I-think-you-might-be-good talk. It takes me a while to gather and hash out my thoughts...if I come up with anything else worth sharing I'll certainly chime in.

In the meantime, happy reading! Take breaks to stretch your legs and walk around. :p

I met a ghost once. His name was LaMontague Derrickson. Kind of a jerk, that one. Pretty salty.

I am gonna ask some role questions; not up to a place where others may have done so just yet. So far I am seeing more civ reasons for someone to survive a lynch, and only one bad one. Has this been discussed, or has, "OMG you must be the Cheerleader" been the only discussion point about llama surviving a lynch?

Also I see that Kate was killed by the Blue Lazers; did she have any strong suspicions? Did people think she was civ?
What's Her Face - Can protect one of her teammates each night, but only by being injured in the process herself should they be targeted. This will result in her having a posting restriction the following day.
Is What's Her Face the only posting restriction in the game? I did not see another, but I may have missed it? Has anyone asked to clarify what constitutes "posting restriction"?
Gunhaver - As the Cheat Commandos Squad Leader, he directs Silent Rip and Fightgar. They do not control their night actions, though they still receive the results. If he dies, they will then gain control of their own night actions.

Fightgar - This Cheat Commando is all action! Each night he attacks someone in a blaze of gunfire and glory, causing them to be unable to do anything for fear of him killing them! Essentially, he is the civ role block.

Silent Rip - The expert in recon on the Cheat Commando Squad, he can wire someone's home each night, allowing him to learn something about them from their conversation, though it may not give a clear answer regarding their role or alignment...
So Gunhaver picks the targets for these other two guys? Does he also get the results, or only them? This is an awesome grouping, if Gunhaver plays it well.

Is the Show played in the thread, and have the secret events listed actually happened:

Secret Events!
Cool Guy
Sibbie
Concert
Decemberween

Or is this a list of potential secret events?

Also I hope you guys don't think I'm obnoxious with all of the questions; I find it easier to get a bunch of opinions to filter through rather than read the thread straight through; things "feel" different in real time than they do reading back, and it helps me rejoin the present time more quickly. Then, I am one of those people who LIKE Spoilers, lol~

I've been wondering if the ghost stories were a part of Decemberween. If so, I'm very sad I didn't know about it as I just today sent Vompers a massive non-fiction ghost story for inclusion into his online literary magazine.

I don't know. I voted castle and got no info from it, although Snow Dog and Bullzeye both admitted to having at least some info regarding the poll, and I think Gleamio did as well, if I'm remembering right.

No, unlike some  Daisy is generally refreshingly frank. I have not come to the denoument about what the 6 messages in the video actually meant, if anything, but my guess is that it meant nothing, and happened to be the number of messages shown on the machine in the video Daisy particularly liked for that post.

I think there was a lot of overthinking going on regarding that "6", too much, tbh. But I am only in the middle of it now, and am not sure where it leads.

S~V~S we don't know what the options correspond to. There is one we speculated belonged to the Princes because of the way the post was written. I've forgotten which one but you will see it in the post or your reading.

I hesitate to try and answer your other questions for fear of getting them wrong or being accused of misleading you. Some I just don't know or don't remember. Hopefully 2 or 3 or 4 people will answer and between everyone you will have the answers.

I don't remember the talk about llama and the cheerleader but I have probably just forgotten it. I need to go back and re-read that section. My memory is buried under piles and piles and piles of posts. Someone else will remember though.

No one had any strong feelings on Kate that I recall and I don't remember any conversation about her suspicions. It may be though that she didn't have anything strong that she articulated before death.

I haven't noticed anyone else with the posting restriction power. I think there is only one but god knows I may have skipped over it reading.

No one has discussed or asked for feedback from the hosts on what constitutes a posting restriction. I would be willing to bet all of us were thinking silencing, insanifying, or one of those other things people do like have them post upside down or whatever. If anyone clarified it was in private.

Also no public clarifications on Gunslaver's power.

We have seen no shows so they must be being played off this thread unless that person is just not sending in pm's.

We have had 1 Secret Event. I have no idea what it was. Seems like there was someone though that had a thought it was something, maybe they will speak up.

Well all in all that wasn't a lot of help. What is going to be more helpful is you - god love you - are going to read the entire thing and may see some things the rest of us didn't or remind us of something important that we have forgotten.

Ok, maybe some other people could take a stab at this and fill in what I don't remember or correct anything I got wrong.

JC - I fear that is going to be me soon.... :hugs:

SVS - Good luck. I do not envy you at all. I think most of your questions so far have already been answered? As far as Kate goes, I had no real read on her either way. She was less involved than she usually is as the game started during her Anniversary and Birthday celebrations.

Llama did a surprisingly good job summarizing all that garbled mess that has been the first couple days into something understandable.
As far as his survival goes, there are more civ ways than baddie ways. He claims that someone else must have stepped in and stopped the lynch and tbh, if I was any of the roles that could just auto survive (one is civ and one is bad) I would have said the same thing, so I don't really think there's a whole lot to be gained at this point at looking at how he survived much more than has already been discussed.

I'm trying to type this response while multi-tasking a convo with my sweetie so I feel like I'm missing something.

linki - I think it would be weird if only civs had poll information. It ties up too nicely too. It doesn't auto make Snowy bad though. I feel like Snowy is just being careful in what he says so he doesn't rule break. There's probably only so much he can say.

MovingPictures07 wrote:Many of the theories being thrown out so far don't seem realistic to me. That said, I appreciate when players actually come out and participate in such discussion because it often leads to an unfortunate early civvie death and thus there are risks involved in doing so.

That being said, the idea that we should lynch the 6th player or other such inferences are completely ridiculous, IMO, and I will vote for the first person to cast their vote based on something so trivial and illogical.
Like you have never made any ridiculous or illogical theories. I've seen your lengthy posts on how things could be this way or that and then at the end you say something like, "but I could be wrong". At least I'm trying. :sigh: And I already said, if what I came up with was a bad theory, just tell me, kindly. I will respect your opinion. We civs are in this together. :)

That said, I don't have anything to really go on for finding baddies yet. Many of the players aren't even posting, really.
thellama73 wrote:
What are your feelings about low posters? I tend to like to vote for them on Day One, but other people think I am wrong to do so. The reason I like to is that I think it is an easy way for baddies to hide. I have seen very low posters make it all the way through games with no scrutiny due to flying under the radar. Also, I like to have fun, and the game is not fun if nobody is talking, so I prefer to vote of someone who is not talking over someone who is, all things being equal.
I agree with you here. I hate to vote people just because they aren't talking but I think randomizing is worse. If we randomize aren't we more likely to lynch a civ, yes? I think between the two options, voting a quiet player over random voting would give us a better chance at lynching a baddie on the first try. I don't know about you all, but I've never seen a baddie lynched on Day 1. Have any of you ever witnessed such a thing? And, I agree with Hedge that we ought not vote a newbie on Day 1.

About the info, I think the whole thing about 6 players getting info as there were 6 options would be logical if Snowy hadn't received info *before* the pole. It would be nice if everyone who had info would let us know they had it and whether they received it before or after Day 0 poll ended, or both. We could put a list together of who had info and when and what option they voted for. Thank you SnowDog for giving us what you could :) I too think it was a misunderstanding about what "info" meant. Technically you had info before the poll just by knowing that you would get info if castle won :).

Other players with info...did your info come like Snowy's? Or was it different?

Also, why do you think someone would lie about getting info? Someone was talking (sorry cannot remember who with all I read) about how if only one person voted for a certain option, they would automatically be the one to receive info (with the "6" theory) but someone in this situation claims they got no info. What would keep someone from sharing the info that they received info :) (did that make sense?)
ZOMG, this is such a baddie post!! If you had all not already lynched her, I would be looking hard at her.
Hedgeowl wrote:

Vanilla means no night powers.
I did not know this either. Thanks! Is there a Mafia game lingo cheat sheet? :p

I agree that we should no longer discuss info from polls to protect any other possible specific civs. We definitely dont know if this is only a civ poll, however currently I think it's safer to not discuss it. Of course it can be revisited later. I also don't want to vote BDH Day 1 as a newbie, but it people want to watch him I think thats reasonable.

5 pages of reading and I don't feel better about a suspect. I think Snow and Bullz have worked out what they meant and seem to in agreement, which makes sense. Bullz shouldnt have received additional prize info since his option didnt win, while Snowy should have and did.
I may find something further on that gets my eye, but this is the first post that seriously caught my attention (not counting Elo).

We don't want to discuss poll based info becasue of one theory (which I feel was kinda off the wall, tbh) that implies that only one affiliation got info, which no experienced host would EVER do? When this theory is proven true (and I am only up to page 7 or so, and I don't think that will ever happen) I would consider not discussing poll based info. But this post seriously strikes me as an attempt to control the discussion, channeling it where one wants it. Then if anyone discusses "poll based info" they can be called a baddie. It also adds to the push towards Bullz I saw developing based on his misunderstanding with Snow. There seemed to be a lot of intentionally misunderstanding of that entire convo.

*I just got up to Daisys clarification that many got info, not just civs*

Also~ *I Like Hyperbole Italics very much*
