Also: I don't understand what this is, why we're picking, or how it works. Why is there a graphic? Are there just certain numbers that are pre-chosen as 'winners'?

He didn't PM it in, but he commented before I could post the second posting (I love the enthusiasm!!!) so I deleted his post.
Numbers are not pre-chosen as winners, and the rules of the game will go out after 2pm EST tomorrow. Just pick a square that speaks to you, or your favorite color, etc.

You can type in whatever color you want, though.

Labyrinths and mazes have often been confused. When most people hear of a labyrinth they think of a maze. A labyrinth is not a maze. A maze is like a puzzle to be solved. It has twists, turns, and blind alleys. It is a left brain task that requires logical, sequential, analytical activity to find the correct path into the maze and out.
A labyrinth has only one path. It is unicursal. The way in is the way out. There are no blind alleys. The path leads you on a circuitous path to the center and out again.
A labyrinth is a right brain task. It involves intuition, creativity, and imagery. With a maze many choices must be made and an active mind is needed to solve the problem of finding the center. With a labyrinth there is only one choice to be made. The choice is to enter or not. A more passive, receptive mindset is needed. The choice is whether or not to walk a spiritual path.
At its most basic level the labyrinth is a metaphor for the journey to the center of your deepest self and back out into the world with a broadened understanding of who you are.
I wonder if I should have even entered.
Either way, I'm happy with my color and decision.
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather;
not screaming like the people in his car
1. Your Starting Point has your name on it. Let me know ASAP if it's incorrect.
2. In a moment, you will all receive a (universal) protocol in the thread.
3. Following the instructions, you will make your way from your Starting Point to four other different points on the color grid by traveling different paths.
4. The last/fifth point is your End Point.
5. The Protocol might lead you to take different paths depending on where you start on the color map. For instance, if you need to go to the right, and there are two blocks to the right, you may select which path you would like to take.
6. The Protocol might lead you downwards but you are at the bottom of the grid -- just continue from the top of the map in your same column, as much as possible.
7. Same instructions if you run out of space on any side of the map.
8. Post all five points in the thread (this will include your Starting Point and End Point) by using numbers so I can check your work. (e.g.: Elochin's submission might say: 9, 11, 23, 5, 10). That's all you need to post!
9. There will be different solutions for each person's starting point. Only place one in the thread.
10. I have pre-selected three various squares on the map. Winners will be determined by proximity to these points. Landing on my preselected Winning Point #1 is an automatic first-place win for you. Landing on any of my preselected Winning Points (as opposed to adjacent to them) will entitle you to a placement (1st/2nd/3rd).
Placements will be announced publicly but prizes will not. If you do not want you placement announced publicly (due to being in Felt Mafia 2), PM me before you post your Five Points, but you will no longer be eligible for a prize.
Extra Credit for anyone who makes labyrinth art using the colors identified by their 5 reference points..
Because it's the weekend, and some people might not see this right away
Now go design me something pretty
Design it how.
I also seem to recall I'm not entitled to any prizes, no matter what I perform.
You can still win the game, you just wont win a prize. You can design something using your 5 colors if you want! In Paint or Photoshop, whatever. Then post it in the thread for us to marvel over!

What happens if we end up on the same square as somebody else?
