Re: Felt Mafia 2 [Day 6]
Night 5: XYZ PDQ
The gang got a good night's rest after the endless day of Day 5.
"I felt like that day was going to last forever!" said Quin.
"It felt like it was over 70 hours," said INH.
"Oh guys, it wasn't really that bad," said Epignosis, always the eggplant gentleman.
"It's so hot outside," said Sorsha.
"I wish there was some way to cool off - I can't believe this meditation labyrinth doesn't have any air conditioning," said Blooper wryly.
"How about Button Your Fly water park over near Destin?" asked LongCon. "I took my kid(s) there once."
"I've seen Youtube videos of some of the slides there," said Made. "Just righteous."
I dated a boy in high school who was a lifeguard at this actual park (Big Kahunas of Destin) and I thought I was the absolute shiz
"I think there's a water park around here," mentioned Juliets.
"Ahhhh, I would love that!" said Blooper.
"My kids are gonna kill me if I go without them," said Epi.
"I'm a fan of the lazy river," said Boomslang.
"Yeah, let's get adult beverages and just hang out there for a while," said Blooper.
"That would be totally tubular," punned Sorsha.
The group traveled to the water park and put their belongings in lockers.
"I haven't seen one of these in forever," noted LongCon, plucking at the springy bracelet that held his locker key.
"Hey, is that Vomps eating a hot dog in the wave pool?" asked INH.
"Wow, it really is!" said Juliets.
Bonus points if you can find Vomps!
"Doesn't one of these slides contain a 168-foot drop?" asked Quin.
"Yeah, the Verrucht or something like that," said Made.
"I'm totally going on it," said Quin.
Everyone gathered around to watch Quin tackle the water slide. Juliets waved a pennant she picked up at the souvenir store. Boomslang munched on popcorn he bought at concessions. All were enrapt.
"Here...I.....gooooooo!" shouted Quin.
Quin's body slung off the slide and far far away.
Quin has died. It is now Day 6.
You have 24 hours to determine who tampered with the trajectory of the waterslide. Mind your buttons.
Click about 20 seconds in to see the slide that killed our friend.

Wow. Ok.
Which one of you jeans is a pair of corduroys?
I used my prize last night. On Quin.
So I know one of you bad guys is active enough to be killing before Mp/SD subbed out.
We know the Jean Genie is some sort of advent to a role that hasn't been disclosed. Could have been llama. I dunno. For whatever reason, Mongoose hasn't revealed any secrets for that role even though we lynched him. I think it more likely he was that.
Which is a quandary, because I figured Epi was that role. But now I am not so sure.
Either Epi is another civ that I am about to go after a la Downton Abbey, or he is baddie McBadderson. If he is bad, he bussed DDL early without any qualms. Impossible? No, more likely than other options. But still a quandary

That's the decapitation, right? Awful.Epignosis wrote:That water slide actually did kill a kid a while back.
"Impossible? No, more likely than other options." I don't get this line. With the comma, you seem to be saying that rather than being impossible, Epi's DDL bussing is more likely than other options. Which other options?Scotty wrote:So I know one of you bad guys is active enough to be killing before Mp/SD subbed out.

OR with no comma, it's "no more likely than other options".. which makes sense but shows a different point of view.

I feel like I have to go through everyone today as I had ruled out everyone but Quin and LC. Maybe I shouldn't have ruled out the people that voted for both Wilgy and DDL. I think we each should go through each person available to vote and compare what we think. I hope there is a lot of conversation today.

INH, Sorsha, Scotty... one post each, and we're halfway through the day.
Boomslang, Made, nijuu, nothing yet.
Conversation would be good. Ideally, some Civs already have strong suspicions that they can push that are the right suspicions.
Last lynch has very little info to use because it was between two Civs.

Re: Felt Mafia 2 [Day 1]
I want to eliminate Boomslang due to the attempted night kill and his votes for Wilgy and DDL but maybe the baddies were really spooked after the DDL kill and decided to protect Booms and try to kill him. Maybe they had him vote for the two baddies to lend to his bulletproofness. They haven't tried to kill him again which makes me wonder.
Even I though recognize that this is highly improbable and is likely just me tinfoiing. It would have been a brilliant move in my mind but I don't think they would have given up a night kill right after one of their own was killed. And Boom's votes for the baddies seem genuine to me. So unless you guys feel differently I think I'll knock Booms off my list.
Booms, the below quote was from early in the game when you had some suspicion of Sorsha. Have you changed your view on this as time has passed? I need to re-read the issue of Sorsha's timing regarding responding to llama. I'm a little confused as to what the issue was. (I snipped the end of this post as it didn't relate to what Im asking about.)

Boomslang wrote:Alright, finally catching up on all of this. Biggest thread of the thread so far seems to be the Sorsha/Llama spat, and I'm leaning slightly bad on Sorsha because of it. I think JJJ's analysis of the response timing and nature is useful:However, I think JJJ got away with blaming Sorsha for the use of timestamps. Sorsha just used the phrase "literally two minutes" to describe llama's post. JJJ then emphasizes Sorsha's own timing on his own, and in a later post says, "I wasn't going to mention the timestamps until you brought them up first." That strikes me as shifty.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: I can understand. It's jarring for anyone to be facing an accusation so quickly after a game begins. His accusation came two minutes after your post, as you said, and then your joke response to that came 11 minutes after that. To me that looks a player who is briefly frozen by unexpected pressure searching for a way to approach it.
In terms of defense, you're probably not supposed to respond to that. Some accusations don't facilitate defense. It isn't ideal, but a civilian must still render them when they apply. Instead of a defense, I would anticipate a more exploratory response to llama than the one you provided -- even if you believed it was a joke.Sorsha wrote:All for one line and an emoticon? Seriously? How am I supposed to respond to that?

Exactly. It was more of a stream of consciousness. I thought you were indie at worst as the Jean Genie, but because the only one with secrets has died, I don't think it was you. That and I've been conveniently lumping you in with civvies because you made the DDL case.Epignosis wrote:I don't know why Scotty has to name the only two possibilities that exist: Either I am good or I am bad.

I went after a few of them in DA, the premiere being you. We both did. I think that's why mafia didn't kill us to the end. What other civilians did you go after "a la Downton Abbey?" Please explain that to me.
I will strangle you with your own syntax, Scotty.
Get in here and answer my punctuated questions before I get my period and put a semi up your colon.
I would still type that sentence now and when I was hastily typing between scenes in my show last night, Epi. But English teacher's gonna English teach I guess.

I don't see what's tricky about it. The smarter Day 3 move for me in the scenario you are describing would have been to vote for Wilgy too, but I voted for the independent.

Re: Felt Mafia 2 [Day 6]
We've already been over this, and JJJ has already laid this out, but I'm rehashing it for patterns.
On Day 1, we had 2 trains: DDL and llama. We know:
Wilgy, a baddie, voted with 3 others for llama to save DDL and bring the vote total to 4-3 Llama-DDL.
INH, LC and Quin all voted for llama. Of those, Quin was NK'd, so that leaves LC and INH up in the air.
Sorsha snuck in a tying vote very close to deadline (~10-15 min before) and Epi closed the door right before deadline (~5 min?).
A person, MP, DDL, Elo and Made missed the vote. Out of those, we know DDL was bad, A Person was indie, Elo was NK'd, and MPnowjuliets and Made were non represented in Day 1.
Llama, JJJ and I voted off the main wagons. Out of those, llama and JJJ have been NK'd. I was basically a non-factor on Day 1.
Now for inferences.
I find it more likely than not that the mafia would want to split up the voting in day 1. That one of the DDL voters is probably a busser. I find it highly unlikely that 2 are bussers. Because that's just metal.
We know 1 baddie (Wilgy) attempted a save attempt on the llama wagon. Were there others in LC/INH? Dunno.
Made and [juliets] were absent, and I find it also likely that one of them is bad and missed the vote entirely. OR chose a different wagon, which would leave me. But since I know I'm good, I'm looking squarely at juliets and Made.
I have my doubts about INH and LC being bad, tbh, Based on thread context and personal gut.
Which could mean that both juliets and Made are bad, or one of them is bad and 1 of the DDL voters is driving the last bus to Clarksville.

Re: Felt Mafia 2 [Day 6]
I can't defend on MP missing the vote other than to say Im pretty sure he was at a conference and that's why he missed (I read that somewhere but can't remember where). Also, as JJJ pointed out I could have easily slid by that first night I was in the game because I subbed in just hours before the lynch vote but I participated in an open and honest way. I did the same yesterday as I assessed who to vote for even though my final vote was obviously wrong. I know I am good Scotty so by your logic that would leave either you or made or both as baddies. I will assess you both at some point today. I have no wish to out myself but have also hinted at my role. I will look for your hints when I take a look at your posts.Scotty wrote: <snip>

Re: Felt Mafia 2 [Day 6]
I want to look at Made and juliets because I think that would be more fruitful.
I've been harping at Made on occasion for coming in towards the end and making some votes that make my sphincter seize up.
On day 3- the Wilgy lynch- he comes in asking about whether or not ties end in no-lynches. Which on the surface sounds like someone even-keeled and looking for answers to prevent a no-lynch. But that question had already been posed by someone else and answered, so it's not like Made is the white knight asking that question. To me this comes off as someone that has read through the thread, knows a tie ends in a no-lynch, but decides to ask it again anyway to pose as a concerned denizen of the friendly Jean variety.
His vote comes on Wilgy as the 6th vote, when the next highest train was JJJ with 3 votes. So then this post seems...a bit stilted:
He then offers his reasoning: "I don't really see what's there, but a lynch is better than a no-lynch"
Taking no credit for his vote, and in a sort, devaluing the suspicion for Wilgy. Might as well be playing Rugby blind.
Made hasn't missed a vote since Day 1. He's been active enough that he will post at least once a day in the thread, and is then probably around to send in a Night action.. Ima keep looking at his stuff, but he's skyrocketed to my #1 suspicion.

Doing so would make it possible for Wilgy or someone else to tie it up? Uh...yeah...if Wilgy and 1 other person in he last few minutes do that. But he just reminded the thread that doing so would result in a no-lynch, so that's probably not gonna happen.Made wrote:Won't vote JJJ because doing so making it possible for Wilgy or someone else to tie it up so voting Wilgy. Re: Felt Mafia 2 [Day 6]
I understand the original crux for your argument for being good was that a "bad" Mp "would never" vote for himself. but I also know that Mp would never want to miss a vote. If he were so busy in a conference and hadn't had a chance to look at the thread for suspects, what would a bad Mp had done? That's why the entire "he wouldn't this as bad" meta argument is BS to me. Because if he "wouldn't have" done something, then he "would have" done something else. I know if I had absolutely no leads, haven't read the thread, and was bad to boot, I wouldn't stick my neck out on a random player to have to defend against should it be a suspicious decision. Naw, I'd probably vote myself too.juliets wrote:I can't defend on MP missing the vote other than to say Im pretty sure he was at a conference and that's why he missed (I read that somewhere but can't remember where). That being said- I agree that you have been nothing but honest and open since subbing in, and I haven't really suspected you for it. Haven't really looked at your voting yet.
As of right now, I'd still suspect Made above you.

Oh, and one reason I don't like role hinting is that if it's assumed that everyone has been hinting at their own roles, who's to say the mafia haven't been looking and deducing it all the same?

Made Day 2 lynch:
So he exclaimed that he didn't want to force a tie. Why not? If he doesn't know lynches don't end in a no-lynch yet, why is he bemoaning a tie?
But then a minute later he votes 6th on JJJ, TIEING it up with Quin.
So what was the point of that blurb?
Naw dog, you meant to keep it a tie.
