Flour dust suspended in air is explosive—as is any mixture of a finely powdered flammable substance with air[18] (see flour bomb).

I have no idea! It was just the words, but I assume they were talking about bikes. It makes buying mongoose accessories and paraphernalia on ebay and etsy a lot harder cause you only get bike results.

I'm working on Nervous Horse submissions and using a stand-up fan to blow on me so I can keep the doors and windows open (so I can use this gorgeous natural light).
Am I going to die if I leave this fan on or only if I go to sleep?

Re: Random~
Why is it that you're not allowed to eat at the library? It can't be because it bothers other customers (because it doesn't) and it can't be because it damages the books (because people take the same books home and read them while eating/drinking/bathing etc.).
Also, it's outrageous that bums who go to the library drunk and maybe talk to themselves and maybe bump into shelves a bit get kicked out when rich people can walk around freely talking to the phone looking all rich and obnoxious.

I don't like to overpolice our patrons, but I will definitely stop cell phone shenanigans. I have a high tolerance for the homeless population that works here, but we gotta get them out of here once they start looking up adult material online or being an ornery cuss around the kids.Vompatti wrote:Why is it that you're not allowed to eat at the library? I work at the Reference Desk upstairs. There's a strict no eating/drinking policy for the whole library, barring the student lounge and then the staff kitchen. If no one comes to relieve me for my break, I just don't get one. I usually get a 15-minute break and that's all. I don't get a meal break because I switch campuses at 3pm. They count my transit from one to another as my meal break even though I'm operating a car.
So no, not ideal.

Re: Random~
Like on Chess.com? I play chess (as you may have surmised from the non-fiction story I sent Nervous Horse).
I am very jumpy after something that happened here. I was on my way to the restroom (and I real hoof it when I walk), and a patron gets up and grabs me by the arm so I could help him with a tech issue. Because I was walking so briskly, he almost pulled my arm out of my socket. It was really scary and I wish strangers wouldn't touch me.

Yes, on Chess.com. Also on FICS, but I prefer Chess.com because of the longer time limits.
