Sloon, that post you were referencing has no contradiction. I prefer to vote no posters or no shows on Day 1, but it really looked like he slipped. I'm gonna reference a similar case in GoC because I'm dead there but a similar thing caught my attention when Wilgy dropped "info" on Golden in that game. I took it as a fact. This looked similar, in the sense that it looked plain as day.

The tone of this post resonated vaguely for me back to Rocky and Bullwinkle, in which Scotty was bad almost exactly 1 year ago to the day. He was caught early by a certain valiant townie and responded with a similar tone when he was going down. Here's a comparable post. Tells us not to vote for him and such without doing much to actually respond to the cases being made.

Granted, this might just be how he responds to things. I'll go look for townie Scotty lynches. They're not hard to find.

That you took the time to back up your feelings here actually make me feel better about you and that you are coming from a genuine suspicion. Yeah, this is what I do when I'm getting lynched. It's not really alignment indicative, regardless of what people seem to be so smug about when they catch me in those positions.

I can assure you that voting me is not in the interest to town and if I had chose to activate super saiyan last night then my town-ness wouldn't even be in question.

But I didn't wanna do that since I feel like I'm not involved enough to make a difference there...yet.

Not caught up on the last bits. I think Scotty has been softly role hinting from D1, which I find more unlikely to come from scum. Though I'm not sure why he's doing it at all. I suspect Marmot more than Scotty, he seems aloof and none of the interactions I've had with him makes me feel good, and I remember him differently from the game I played here a while ago. Nut pushing on him also makes me feel better about my read.

The fact THAT I do something to create reactions is much more important than what I do - and what comes out of it can only be seen in hindsight. As a matter of fact I have gotten reads because of my fakeslip, and interactions around that, that is what I based my initial feeling of Marmot on in the first place. I base my reads out of everything in thread. What do you expect of me? As a matter of fact, if the strength or specifity of my reads is not to your satisfaction, I'm more than capable of making shit up as scum. The reactions and information brought to the thread as a result of your gambit is the result of your spearheading of it. From there, you essentially put your hands up and said 'Well I've done my part, off you go', whereas I'd expect someone who was genuinely trying to take something out of the gambit to get involved in it more than you did. If you have teammates who look less than dandy in their reaction to your fakeslip, it makes sense that you'd hold back, because you'd wind up bussing or bringing unnecessary attention to a teammate, or you'd look bad yourself for giving them slack.

I am currently thinking it through. If you are scum, you did something very provocative as an easy way to stick a feather in your cap and appear like a ballsy town player on Day 1. The "reads" you came up with afterward were more difficult to grasp and you struggled with that aspect of the plan and have now been rightfully called out for it. This is all hypothetical, of course, I am not outright accusing you of these things.

I think INH made a point that some of your follow-up reads seemed inconsistent at the time, and I'd consider that more damning than the argument that they're simply lackluster. I would not blame you if others did not provide you with gold, A+ evidence.

I would be keen to know what the town to scum ratio in the game you reference earlier was, Dizzy. Because 5 scum in this game means a 4:1 (thereabouts, +1) ratio which isn't too hard to believe.

I DID touch on it. Oh my god. I can't magically control what kinds of feelings or reads I get out of the reactions I get. I just can't. I've given what I've got. Maybe it would be different if I were around in real time after my fakeslip. Maybe I just aren't as confident in my reads or use black/white language in expressing them (well that is definitely true). This is a terrible accusation as it's impossible for me to answer it. The failing of seeing nuances here is disturbing. The accuation is literally unfair.

I've done so much reading and catching up today that I'm running out of steam as we approach the deadline. I still feel like I could vote for Scotty, although I am willing to let him prove his role tonight. I don't want to vote for Dyslexicon right now, primarily because I feel unqualified to do so. They've been a big contributor and I've only picked up fragments of the case against them. Golden is there, but I have 0 confidence that any effort to lynch him today would gain momentum, and my case still does not amount to much more than "I dunno, vibes man???". Then there's Elohcin, I guess.

It's my expectation of what any reasonable civilian would do. It's not about a meta for any specific person. I'm not saying you put your hands up overall, you were heavily involved in a lot of discussion. But the one thing you didn't touch was your own gambit, and I don't like that.
I DID touch on it. Oh my god. I can't magically control what kinds of feelings or reads I get out of the reactions I get. I just can't. I've given what I've got. Maybe it would be different if I were around in real time after my fakeslip. Maybe I just aren't as confident in my reads or use black/white language in expressing them (well that is definitely true). This is a terrible accusation as it's impossible for me to answer it. The failing of seeing nuances here is disturbing. The accuation is literally unfair.

Other than the post I brought up, can you refer to anywhere else where you attempted to look into the reactions of your gambit in detail?
