Mass Effect Mafia: an HCR & Syndicate crossover

The Syndicate is finally hosting a second crossover game with a friendly Mafia community. Many of you will remember our Talking Heads game of late 2015 which served as a crossover match with members of The Syndicate and rateyourmusic. We've been looking for an opportunity to do something like that again ever since, and we seem to have found it with our friends over at HeroClix Realms.

This game will be sized about like a speed mission here typically would be, with a player roster somewhere in the high teens or low 20s. The exact nature of the setup and the theme are still in work, but I'm starting this thread now to gauge immediate interest from Syndicate members. There's an opportunity for this game to fill the time gap between now and our next full game/job.

A few details I can give you now:

~ The game will feature one host from each site. I will be The Syndicate's host. The HCR host will be announced soon.

~ The setup will incorporate ideas and norms from both cultures.

~ The main idea here will always be fun and community. Competition is exciting, but only as a friendly engagement.

~ I am happy to accept sign-ups from Syndicate players starting right now, up to 9 people. I need to leave slots open for the HCR players who will be joining us soon. If more space opens up beyond those 9 slots, I'll make that known. I have included a poll option for this purpose if 9 Syndicateers have already signed up and you'd like to be involved.

~ HCR players, feel free to click "yes" as you see this thread if you intend to play.

~ As soon as more theme/setup information are available, I will let you know as applicable (depending upon what we hosts are willing to share).

If anyone has any questions, lemme have 'em. I'm excited to do another crossover here. Talking Heads was a wonderful success in my opinion and I think this ought to make it a trend.

I won't be playing, but I will be serving as the MoD for this game. For the folks who are new here coming over from HCRealms, every game on the Syndicate has a Moderator on Duty whose job is to help resolve conflict or handle any frustrations that occur during the game. Mafia is an emotional game, and it is the MoD's duty to work to ensure that everyone's time in the game remains fun and respectful. If there comes a point in the game where you find yourself frustrated or upset by anything and you wish to complain, or simply just vent, feel free to use my inbox rather than taking things out in the thread or to the Hosts. I am really looking forward to this game. I'd like to thank our visitos ahead of time for coming all the way over here to play with us.
