Oh hell naw. I am NOT about to be shoved into a freaking corner by Jack AGAIN, I am not dying before freaking day 3 AGAIN, and will not be the butt of all suspicion when you guys don't want to freaking look elsewhere.
Let me rephrase jack, I said paranoid in the sense you OMGUS anyone who so much as glances at you. What are you doing right now? The exact. Same. Thing. Maybe once I see something different, say you going after someone on your own instead of waiting for someone to come to you, I will change my opinion. But for now, the way you play will almost always make me suspicious of you.

If it's any consolation Sprityo, I'm not suspicious of you. I based on your play in pokemon mafia, I think that people suspect you frequently due to you having a voice that doesn't split opinion from fact.
This thing with Boomslang may be a good example, as he had to go out of his way to break down what I believed to be more of an opinion statement. Perhaps Boom read it as a fact statement. I'm unsure.

I find the stuff pointed at me hilarious. Anyone who knows me well should have me as nothing but pure green by this point. This is one of those games where I am making absolutely no effort to disguise the fact that I'm on my town meta. There is literally zero about my play that resembles my baddie game. Having said that, I didn't think Jack could read me in the first place
PS Jack - if you want committal, wait for tomorrow. I have two people I'm confident are mafia. I'm just not saying it at night.

I've been part of games where, after a couple of baddies down, the teams join into a single team and you never hear about it. You can't fully rely on mechanics.
Besides, just because we agree someone is town doesn't mean they are. We might just as well be pushing the mafia into killing one of the opposite mafia by accident.

Dom is kind of based on consensus, I've really only played with him once but several people have said that he wasn't quite acting himself and what he posted seemed different from how I remember him in Mass Effect. LC just feels off to me. I can't point to anything, and his interactions look fine on paper.
@Speed I didn't really like DF's Day 0 posts, so that's a slight scum read, then he gave a Day 1 post of I'm voting for somebody because weird reasons, which seems unhelpful. Plus, low post count but split between phases, which seems more scummish than missing a phase.

well according to golden, golden's acting exactly how he does when he's a civilian, so I don't see any way anyone else can contradict him on that
also, if golden is highly aware of how he is when he's a civilian to "people who know him," wouldn't he try and, I dunno, act exactly that way when he's bad?
just some brain food

Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [NIGHT 1]
Looking at the poll and thinking about the show...
Big Rico's pizza is heavily implied to be run by the mafia (they had a wheat speakeasy going on after the wheat and wheat byproduct ban), as well as being the only pizzeria in town that hasn't burned down in an unsolved arson case....also, the hooded figures hang out there (they're not directly in the game, but on WTNV, they are mysterious figures who seem to control some of the politics). I would guess that that option is connected to one of the mafia teams, if the night polls are set up to benefit various groups.
None of the options seem directly connected to Strex Corps.
Jerry's tacos is run by the hooded figures.
Gino's is all about the experience, especially since they can no longer serve wheat and wheat by products. But it's still supposed to be good.
The former Sous Chef at Shame (the time rated fine dining restaurant) is now the executive chef at Tourniquet (the very hip spot in town).
The Moonlite All Night Diner is a place where people meet up. Everyone seems to eat there, including the Apache Tracker and Pamela Winchell. It's a place where everyone goes because it's convenient. Other characters mentioned in association with it we didn't know enough about when this game was created to judge that.
Arby's has lights above it--that's all we really know.
KFC and National Guard I actually forgot had ever been mentioned--so not so important to the show, lol.

If I'm bad I'm damn well going to look like what people think of as town golden.
I think inh has run that exact argument twice against me and been wrong both times. When I don't care what I look like, it's because no one is relying on me. I wouldn't use that as a baddie because getting lynched early for not looking like my 'town self' is stupid when bad.

Classic WIFOM.
Town Golden will look like Town Golden. What we see is (apparently) not town Golden, therefore, it is mafia Golden. Mafia Golden would stand out less and would behave more like town Golden, therefore, it must be town Golden.

But you just said your play this game looks exactly like your civ game. Anyway, I've played a million games with you and never bothered to learn how to distinguish civvie Golden and baddie Golden. I'm generally anti-meta, so I try not to leave any meta surrounding myself and rarely pay attention to it in others.
My universally panned vote for Wilgy didn't go anywhere after Made came back civ, so I'm no longer pinged by him. I also don't think much of the Sprit/Boom connection, especially after Sprit's genuine seeming reaction.

LoRab, Golden, and Nutella all stood out to me in my read through. Two as civvies and one as a baddie.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 12:49 pm How about a halfbow?
Good guys
People who are too quiet
Lorab
Golden
Nutella
Dom

lol and guess what guys, neither is probably dom.Golden wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 3:14 pm I find the stuff pointed at me hilarious.
What consensus was there. Cite it. Use people other than Golden.TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 3:37 pmDom is kind of based on consensus, I've really only played with him once but several people have said that he wasn't quite acting himself and what he posted seemed different from how I remember him in Mass Effect. Also, missing a dayJackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 2:32 pmWhy Dom?TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 2:13 pm I'll halfbow, if that's the new thing

OrangeYellow: Golden, INH, JOH, LongCon
Orange: Dom
OrangeRed: DF
RedOrange/ Red: None
Why LC?
LC just feels off to me. I can't point to anything, and his interactions look fine on paper.
@Speed I didn't really like DF's Day 0 posts, so that's a slight scum read, then he gave a Day 1 post of I'm voting for somebody because weird reasons, which seems unhelpful. Plus, low post count but split between phases, which seems more scummish than missing a phase.

Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [NIGHT 1]
There's a gap between what my civ game actually is and what people perceive it to be. I know that when I'm bad I have to play to what people perceive to be my town game.
My town game actually covers a very broad spectrum, but my baddie game only covers the spectrum of where I feel people will safely perceive me as town.

lol, dom with the big no u.
I don't have to answer a question just because someone asks it. They didn't answer my questions either. As Jack said 'I'm a raptor testing the fence'.

Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [NIGHT 1]
Because he's on her baddie team.
Screw it, night or not. 95% sure nutella is bad, enough that I intended to place my vote immediately upon day starting. About 80% that Dom is on a team with her.
Nutella's iso is noncommittal. People should have a look. I don't buy that she couldn't make up her mind on the vote and was too late... I think she has a vote manipulation role and didn't want to risk creating information through her vote in such a tight vote. She's tiptoeing around things, especially her read of me.

If I had to bet on their third man, it's Jack. He's reminded me of Mass Effect Jack all game long.

I think I'm seeing a town golden.TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 4:32 pm Classic WIFOM.
Town Golden will look like Town Golden. What we see is (apparently) not town Golden, therefore, it is mafia Golden. Mafia Golden would stand out less and would behave more like town Golden, therefore, it must be town Golden.
Possibly, but he said he's done doing that kind of stuff many many games ago because it's unfair.Golden wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 3:40 pmYes.speedchuck wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 3:36 pm Hey, is there anyone here who can summarize Eloh's meta?
Epignosis.
Who was it that said, "please don't vote jack" out of nowhere yesterday at end of day 1? I wanted to inquire about that.
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

And I think Jack's trying to do a job on sprit, sprit's responses have felt genuine to me.
Other team? Less sure... I could see people like DF, neverwhere (yes, I know I said she was good yesterday, but I now see people's point about her Made vote...). LC still doesn't give me good feels Made voters generally should be looked upon with suspicion. But I haven't found a hook into seeing a second team as a whole yet. Jack doesn't have to be on the nutella team.
linki @ elo - good question, who was that?
