Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [DAY 2]
You clicked on yourself you goof!

If you're somehow bad and two votes gets me lynched, well played.
Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [DAY 2]
Agreed. That's a very tenuous connection, imo. LC, on the other hand, definitely looks sketchy now that I did a quick ISO. Especially this post:insertnamehere wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 9:56 pm Honestly not sure why I'm being lynched here.
Explanations other than a lack of reads and some BS about how I'm more likely to curse somebody a certain way would be mucho appreciated.
The whole thing feels like LC is bending over backwards to continue justifying his Golden suspicion. With that in mind, and given that I don't see the case on INH (and I'm even more convinced that Dom is civ after the recent kerfuffle), I will go ahead andLong Con wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 3:49 pmWhat? I didn't "skirt around" anything. Why are you assuming that certain statements will not be Lie Detectable anyway? Does the possible existence of a rule you saw in some other games make it impossible for you to just say "I am a Civvie"? No. So don't tell me I'm the one skirting around things when you choose to only offer statements that could trick a Lie Detector.Golden wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 3:17 pmIt's quite literally an ironclad checkable statement for anyone who believes that I would take part in every NK discussion of a team I was part of. I wonder if LC thinks I wouldn't... I honestly don't believe he does, but he skirted around that. The idea of LC's 5% chance I'm being cagey should, to him, absolutely make sense in practice, not be something he 'doesn't believe'.speedchuck wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 3:13 pm I just realized why Golden phrased his Lie detect phrase in the particular way he did, by adding on the not knowing Nutella's alignment.
I'm willing to believe he's town, and not on either mafia team.
I'm not sure about Jack, maybe I'm paranoid with him. But Dom and LC look worse and worse to me all the time.
Do I think you would intentionally not take part in the kill choice? No. Do I know if you were around in your chat while the choice was happening? No, I do not. Maybe you were busy during that 24 hours, and your team made some necessary decisions on night actions. Maybe you said at the start of the night "Look, I'm not really going to be around, I'm fine with whoever you guys choose". Is that so hard to imagine?
If you want to make a sketchy statement, act like it's ironclad, and then try to turn it around on me for pointing it out, then that's your call. Just don't be surprised, because of course you are going to look suspicious because of it. You got called out for avoiding making a checkable statement, and you are acting like "Oh I know Golden, he would never not take part in a kill decision!" makes it ironclad.
This is your choice. You are choosing to make yourself look this way. You don't have to choose that.
vote LC

Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [DAY 2]
I wanted to prove I wasn't Marcus. It didn't quite work and there were several flaws in the plan, but it would look opportunistic to vote for LongCon and INH was around and wasn't saying anything yet.
I guess there's a bit of self interest there, but as someone who knows he isn't Marcus, with all the discussion today wasted on TSP might be Marcus, I figured it'd be nice to maybe, just maybe, clear myself.

Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [NIGHT 2]
Ladies and gentlemen, the Annual Intern Relay is in full swing, and it is proving to be our most exciting yet. All of the usual events are scheduled: the Hot Coffee Run, the Filing Relay, the Paper Filing Relay, the Metal Filing Relay, and the Flaming Social Media Obstacle Course, to name a few. We have some stand-outs, for sure, in these early rounds, but no clear winners yet, and a greatly-reduced loss of limb from previous years, thanks to new bans on throwing axes and margarita glasses.
Today's event is happening as I speak, and one of my favorites: the Copyediting Contest. Each intern receives an article or piece of literature,
such as Charlotte Bronte's most recent treatise, "How to Solve the Problem of Spider Illiteracy," and must read and edit it most quickly and efficiently in the allotted time. This is our most dangerous event, as copies of these articles must be obtained from a librarian or other similar creature before editing can be completed.
Listeners, I'm super excited this year because my fanfiction has been chosen as part of the event! Well, not quite chosen. More like, slipped from my desk into the tentacles of some otherwordly being and reappearing in one of the intern's scratched, bloody hands, but close enough, right? I've got my eye on you, Intern Long Con!
Hold on, listeners. I am watching Intern Long Con and he appears to be shaking. Shaking very slowly, but intensely. His eyes are rolling back in his head, he's on the ground, and his tongue has rolled out of his mouth, like a long, dead carcass of a slimy rat. Doctors are on the scene, but they are having lunch in the back of the stadium and have not noticed Intern Long Con's condition. Wait. He's stopped shaking. He's stopped moving altogether. He's dropped the fanfiction.
Geez, Long Con, it can't be that bad.

Intern Long Con has been lynched. He was Lauren Mallard of StrexCorp.
It is now Night 2. You have 23 hours to send in your PMs.

Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [DAY 2]
I think LC was a little more likely to be bad, but INH was being belligerent and not super helpful. So if LC is town we lose more IMO. No offense INH, that's just how I saw it. Also, INH was more polarizing and could lead to more leads if Maf or if town.
@newnews
Well, at least I was right about LC even if I didn't vote for him :P.

Sorry to see you go as a player, LC. And I totally didn't realize you weren't around today. Missed that in my skim. But, still, you were bad, so I don't feel that bad about it.

Discrepant votes are negated, but it mattered not in this instance. For future reference, if you accidentally vote for someone different than what you post, you may change the vote in the poll to the person you actually stated you'd vote for. But don't make a habit of it - it confuses the fuck out of me

Maybe 85%?
I think he's come at people's perspectives genuinely. I liked his responses to Jack's early pressure.
