Btw, I'm being forced to vote Epi today.
So...vote Epi
Odd choice, considering I've stated my suspicion of Epi already.

I mean, the politicians killed night 2 so they wouldn't have vote stolen the dead person.

Because there was no good reason for me to bus LC? He virtually had no suspicion before I started going after him whereas I had a tonne... in such a circumstance, I'd be the one proposing he got credit for bussing me not the other way around.DrWilgy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2017 12:47 am *a ghostly voice echoes*

Posts supporting the Epi/Eloh/LC Strex theory:
Elohcin wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2017 3:57 pmI actually like this response to Epi. I think if someone grasps onto this "reason" for why Tony may be mafia, they should be looked at more closely as maybe being mafia themselves.TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2017 10:36 amOoh. Forgot about how the polls worked. (In case my language gets misconstrued again, forgot here means "I neglected to consider") Back on my home site we do the whole "vote in bold in-post" thing, so I typically play with a pretty trackable record and that influences how I play. Even here it would be easier to check in on the thread, look at votes, and have an idea where we stand, and if I recall correctly from Mass Effect, we would mark votes with orange so we would have that record. I assume that is more or less a standard thing.Epignosis wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2017 12:34 amHere's why:
The hedging language here (might, just might) tells me he isn't really invested in his own idea. If TonyStarkPrime were serious about finding a useful way to track votes in the thread, he wouldn't suggest one idea, get thwarted by Eloh, and then just say "It just might be good to come up with a way to do that." He is talking about how to track something that doesn't matter, since even when votes can be changed, it isn't like we can see who voted for whom when.TonyStarkPrime wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2017 11:19 pmIt might help for searching the thread to check vote patterns. It just might be good to come up with a way to do that.Elohcin wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2017 10:19 pm As long as we keep up with the thread, the unchangeable votes shouldn't be a problem. If you need to take notes as to who is suspecting who throughout the day, then do so. I don't think we need to assifn a specific emoji to that. What if I want to use that emoji for fun?
"But Epi, you don't know TonyStarkPrime! What if this is how he normally is?"
"But Epi, didn't he die Day 1 in Pokemon? Wouldn't it be cruel to lynch him Day 1 here?"Spoiler: show
Spoiler: show
I don't quite understand the whole hedging thing. I had an idea, someone said "I don't like that idea" and then I said "well maybe there is another way". Which to me would suggest that I'm still invested in the general idea. The word "might" is more of a "I'm not going to force an idea through if people don't want it" than a "well, I don't really care about what I'm saying".
@jack - do you really believe epi believes his theory or donyou think he made it up to see who would latch onto it? I'm thinking the latter.
In reply to Tony. Why doesn't my suggestion work?
Read thread. Take notes on who voted for whom or who suggested voting for whom at what time. Read over notes before voting.
This seems like a fine solution and you don't have to scroll through the thread over and over.
Lorab, who is FEB based on?
I'm going to post this and keep reading. I know his annoys some. Don't like my style, oh well.
Elohcin wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2017 3:57 pmJackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2017 3:06 pm I am good at reading: Dom, LC, Nut, Speed

I always scum read: DF, Eloh
I'm not so great at reading: Epi, Sprityo, INH, Never
I've never/barely played with: Boom, Made, Rico, Lorab, Timmer
So anybody from the bolded lists I suppose. Back and forthing on my new SL, Sprityo. I'll let his reactions determine how much free pass he gets.
Linki: I miss Marmot.
So in other words, you're going to vote for someone based on your weaknesses? I think you may have my vote.
Elohcin wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 5:34 pm Okay, that was a lot to read. First, LC because I was reading about him most recently. I don't see how anyone can think him as bad quite yet. His posts have been either half-hearted and sober or nonsense and drunken. I don't understand why dom suspects golden. Its seems we all see a civ golden here. I'm not sure if going after dom for a noU reaction is smart, but perhaps for his squirmy disposition. Then there's the bad guy with +2 votes....... Marcus. This may be the most sensible option. Epi noticed Tony may be a good candidate for that role. My vote will either go to him or Dom today unless something changes.
On a side note, someone else mentioned that I voted early yesterday. Y'all are just a bunch or procrastinators is what it is.
Oh yeah, and I wanted to mention that I don't think Rico was cursed by anything Day 1. He was just being silly all on his own. But I do think he is cursed today. And someone mentioned that Poppy is from another game (can't remember who). Whoever cirsed rico was probably in that game as well if you care to narrow down the insanifier.

watch out for timmer never actually catching up. that's classic baddie timmer.
When I come up civ, remember how wrong Golden was. Remember how I was told repeatedly that I had written nothing when I wrote many posts giving well thought out reasons for him being bad
Watch out for INH hiding behind being *quirky*
Watch out Elo pretending she can't read my posts.
Thank you sprit for your response. I've made up my mind.

Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [DAY 4]
Here's what I think about Jack's twice being targetted for the vote steal. It is such an obvious overplay that it is designed to make us look at him. The question is to what end. Is it
A) To make us see it all as suspicious and like a deliberate tactic from his own team, and so to make us vote for him when he isn't a politician; or
B) The opposite - make it seem like he's being set up and so less likely to be bad (and so, not vote for him) when he is a politician.
I just can't tell which.

I think Epi dealt with me very transparently in our discussions about the relative merits of lynching LC vs INH, didn't feel like he was protecting LC at all.

I seriously doubt Epignosis didn't notice the poll actually had been set to end at the time it was set to.Epignosis wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 8:27 pmThis I don't buy.
I have hosted so many games and been bad many times, and lately, BTSC is quiet. People go for days without talking.
I find it hard to believe that you would ask your teammates when the phase ended rather than take two seconds to scroll upward and look at the poll deadline.
Even more curious....

Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [DAY 4]
I didn't want to bring this up again, because I don't think Dom is bad for it, but I will.
Dom - it's a speed game. 24/24 by definition. Ninjas mistake was never relevant to the points that I made, I don't see it as relevant to epis either. I didn't care whether ninja made a mistake, because even if she did it's a thing a baddie could use to their advantage to feign ignorance. That ninja made a mistake and you pushed that so hard, if anything, made you look worse not better.
It's not a sign of teamsmanship that two people agree on that. It's just that some of us weren't buying the mountain you we're making out if it.
Again, not saying this because I think it looks bad on you, but you've been so fixated on that host error and people's reactions to it and I think you're missing the mark in that respect. It was a reasonable reaction to think you were using it as a ploy to appear uninformed.

I've gone mostly ignored this entire game, unless I raise a stink about it. (I wonder why)

I have 5 pages of posts. I'm not fixated on it. I want discourse.
I appreciate your feedback. However, if it was never a reason to drop the suspicion, then why did they? And what did I have to gain from the initial *mistake* anyway?

In the trump stuff, I think there is merit to the fact the curse encourages people to ignore you (because it's hard to separate true suspicion from aggrandising). But, how about a synopsis of where you are at with each person?

Rico: I have no read on because I'm not paying attention to him tbh
INH: He still hasn't answered the question of "who is bad". That's not good.
Jack: I have no idea what he's trying to do. BUT one thing that doesn't sit well with me is that he listed INH as a *can't read*. Potentially teammates? (full disclosure, he also listed epi, neverwhere, and sprit)
So, INH
