Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [DAY 4]
I'm definitely inclined towards a vote for inh and rico, but I'm in two minds. INH's points hit home big time, and I'm not sure he'd be leaning towards lynching rico right now if he really feared rico had hard info on him. So... in this moment I'm leaning towards rico.
I wish I had more time but, alas, this week there is going to be very few opportunities for me to read back and iso.

Thank god I'm not the only one who feels this way. I just assumed the whole game had settled on "INH is bad now let's do nothing about it."Golden wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2017 3:31 pm I'm definitely inclined towards a vote for inh and rico, but I'm in two minds. With Ricochet, his content is all reactionary, which is all it can be when posting solely in abstract emotive cartoons.
If this game were a family, Ricochet would be the kooky uncle that sits in the back spouting gibberish and is more-or-less tolerated by the rest of the family who go about their business like ostensible adults.
He's put himself in a situation where there's not a lot of expectation of him to do very much, so when he exceeds the low bar we've set for him, we all shower him with treats.
Ignoring the schtick and the context, his actual reads aren't really inspiring to me.
He thinks I'm scum, and this is the third day in a row he's voted for me, so he seems pretty concrete in that assertation.
He also thinks TSP is bad, which seems to be the group consensus.
Other scumreads include both Golden AND Dom, which would be nice for him to expound upon, if he was so motivated to. Seems like a "why not both" shrug of a read straight out of an American taco shell commercial. Also, Sprityo, who happens to be one of my townreads. So yeah.
Not a lot that I can get behind, LC vote-analysis or no. His "#CONTENT" is similar to that of a sixteen year old YouTube vlogger.

I think rico believes that INH, Sprityo, and Golden are the politicians.
Which would be amazing.

If rico believes that, then I don't think he's bad (I don't think he's strex).speedchuck wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2017 3:40 pm I think rico believes that INH, Sprityo, and Golden are the politicians.

The problem comes in the fact that his sureness about me invalidates any confidence I can have in his sureness about inh.
At this point, I really want rico to start talking. The gimmick has outlived its usefulness, and he should do a g-man and move past it because it's crunch time.

But, right now, I think it's just as likely that his apparent sureness of who the politicians are is a ploy. He's showed absolutely no inclination to revisit his position on anyone since about day one, as far as I can tell.

Agreed, it's terribly uninformative and non-constructive for him to be doing so. He's essentially not helping, or at least not helping more than he could. Also I can't recall from memory of a time someone pointing a finger at him and rico not responding with a wolf emoji to it.

Boomslang
Sprityo
Quin
Sprit I can see, but I was wondering what your theory is regarding post gimmicks in general. Who on your bad reads do you think would have done it, and why isn't that sprit? You know these guys better than me.
And how do you have a read at all on Quin/Neverwhere?

But seriously, Rico.
Answering anyone questioning your strategy (which clearly helps scum Rico more than it would help town Rico by avoiding things like tone reads, progression, inconsistencies, slips, etc) with a wolf emoji is neither townish nor convincing.
I still believe you are town. Just like I tell my teammates to stop kicking the ball in the wrong goal, I gotta tell my teammate to stop sitting down in the middle of the soccer field halfheartedly flailing at the ball. Stand up and play.

Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [DAY 4]
I acknowledge that there is every possibility INH and sprityo are both politicians and I'm a patsy here. I'll go further and say I really WANT rico to be town.
But, when rico does things like this, all I can think is 'omelette au fromage'. I still blame rico for town losing Omerta because he came in with no apparent interest in actually playing.
Rico has contributed exactly two things to this game:
1) An LC interactions analysis that was compelling and convinced me he was not Strex
2) His incessant approach to certain people
He's hunted in moments - eg his comparison of timmer to deborah. He does little things on occasion to convince me he is paying attention. But it's overshadowed by the fact he is literally impossible to engage with (especially for me - I've tried to engage him on ideas and I just get quoted with that cat symbol that is supposed to be a wolf).
With the lack of any narrative context whatsoever, though, it's very challenging for me. It reminds me of Omerta rico all over again. If he wasn't town in that game, I would have been all over rico from the off. But he was, and so I'm left with the dichotomy of rico having done this as town but then he is getting away with contributing next to nothing.
So, I feel like its ultimatum time. I expect to vote rico unless he stops using smilies and starts engaging with us properly so that we can actually talk about why he thinks and not just what he thinks.

So your argument is that your meta is abundantly consistent and that I should continue to assume you are town, because you remind me of Omerta, no matter what else you do?

I'm gonna vote for Rico unless I see a compelling arguement to not. I see no one who 100% believes rico to be town. A person who will say "I would rather die than let rico be lynched because I'm that confident how he is playing is helping the game"

Let it be known that I will strongly oppose a Rico lynch.
I would lynch either INH or Sprityo over Rico because I am trying to catch politicians. I would lynch Epi over Rico because I am trying to catch Strexes. I would lynch Slam or Quin over Rico because you can't argue Rico is being unhelpful next to them.

Re: Welcome to Night Vale Mafia [DAY 4]
Honestly Jack? Here's the thing.
Until Rico plays like a normal human being, I don't really mind if he dies. He is bringing nothing to the table.
That's despite the fact that at this point I think there is merit to the fact there are only two politicians left and they are INH and sprityo. Rico can apologise to me after the game for his incessant incorrect tunnelling, or I could just lynch him now and then we're even. I have no time for his game play, none at all.
I probably won't vote for him today given your vehement objection, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

I'll be honest rico, if you can't break this and act normally, the effect for me is I just won't sign up to play games with you any more. My comfort in lynching you despite the fact that I think Jack has literally role-outed you is entirely because your approach is, to me, unfair.
It's just actually not fair for you to do this. It forces the rest of us into doing more work to compensate and interpret. It's time I don't have. I shouldn't be asked to compensate with my own time and effort for your unwillingness to engage normally. It genuinely upsets me that you won't just drop the act now, it's crunch time, start playing the game like a normal person.
Please.

Having said that, I'm restraining myself because I want to win, and given Jack's very vehement position, Sprit's vote for Rico feels way off for me and I tend to think INH and sprit as politicans is likely to be correct. Sprit in particular, but it looks like INH is the better vote for today, so probably heading that way.

Rico's one post regarding LC vote analysis is more useful than anything Wuin has said so far.
I mean Quin replaced in so it's not his fault he has little content but let's not pretend he's produced more than Rico.

Quin is essentially outed as a confirmed town.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2017 6:28 pmRico's one post regarding LC vote analysis is more useful than anything Wuin has said so far.
I mean Quin replaced in so it's not his fault he has little content but let's not pretend he's produced more than Rico.
Like I said, your reasoning on all fronts is shit (Rico looks worse than everyone you mentioned, and his 'one post' is not more helpful than what any of them have brought to the table, and to suggest otherwise is spin only. Even his LC reads post was not helpful, merely interpretable). So lets forget trying to justify your awful rationale for why you so vehemently support ricochet and get to the guts of the matter.

Eh, to be honest, I have much more of a problem with the content of his posts than I do with the way in which he delivers them.
Emojis are about as helpful as Vompatti-speak, to make a comparison.
I'm not voting for Ricochet because he posts in emojis.
I'm voting for him because he's bad.
