lol...because I like him way more then Emerson (Who is a philosopher not a "writer" in the way I see it), Salinger, Williams, Fitzgerald, Hawthorne and Mellville. Plus Old Man and the Sea and The Sun Also Rises are two of the best books I've ever read.

Really though it's mainly Salinger that's giving me fits, everyone else is understandable by opinion. But I REEAAAAALLLY loathe Salinger, so if we just remove Salinger my resolve will weaken.

A chunk of us started playing Mafia on Lostpedia Forums, dunya, and the LP folk have been tight for some time. Like Spacedaisy said, we have partied together several times (one guy travelled from Australia to Washington DC for a party... my family and I attended the same from Ontario).

Yeah, we actually started talking when I was hosting Classic Rock Mafia on The Piano (RIP) back in January of 2012. Honestly it's still amazing to think about it -- I spent my spring break to visit her two months later and the rest is history.

That's a great idea. I've reached out to FH briefly a couple times since she's been gone but haven't heard from her in a long while now. Would be amazing to see her back.

It's so bittersweet to look at the member list. So many amazing people that are a part of our community that have come from so many different avenues -- the LP/TP/RM/STV crowd, the PA/Shred crowd, RYM, HCR, RL friends of myself or any other members, and so many places. It's awesome to think how many have been retained and how we all have melded together into this now what I could only really call a TS community because of how varied everyone's background is. So many of my best friends are here. But then there are many people who have come and gone who I definitely miss and would love to see come back as well.

I feel your pain; I was mafia 9 out of my first 10 games, and I had various long periods of time where I kept rolling mafia a ridiculously high amount of the time. Seems I might be finally over that, but it's done lasting damage to a lot of players' willingness to trust me. At least you made a win out of your first mafia experience here.

Forgive me if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move my post to wherever it's supposed to belong... However I do believe i'm in the introductions section so, heeyyyyyyy!

I started playing Mafia two years ago on sc2. I have played over 1500 - 20 minute mafia games. As life was changing for myself I started playing more and becoming more involved when I then became an admin for the game. After reviewing game misconduct for so long, I really realized that 20 minutes really wasn't enough to get the real fun in the game, thus I started playing Forum Mafia on sc2mafia.com.
Unfortunately I arrived too late as the last two years there's only been one game running at a time and it's mostly the same people. However, that wasn't always the case and there's been over 15 - 25 to 30 player games hosted in the past. 4 for them being within the last two years.

A couple months ago I took over the responsibility of running the section. I selected only the best of people to help me and I must say it's been lengthy road trying to revamp the section of the site, but it's been fun and it's something I am willing to do as I'm just a loser with an internet connect

I am here because I want to learn how others play apart from my homesite. If someone link me to a game or PM me teaching me how to maneuver this site, it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm PTB. I started playing SC2 Mafia online in 2010/11. I played too many games to count to be honest. I got into forum style mafia about 2 years ago. I've quickly grasped the concept of how forum mafia works. I played on another site, but I am in search of a new place to call home. The site I originally come from is limited in players and forum capabilities. So I am excited to see the larger world that is forum mafia.
