OK, give me a sec, I had it written. My niece who is autistic broke a bone in her foot last week. She is OK, but her regular after school program could not deal with that situation, cast, chair, etc. BUT the one she is in temporarily closes earlier, and my sister had Parent conferences and could not get out of work early enough to pick her up today, so i had to do it. i thought I could deal on phone, but could not.

Start Of Day One/end Night Zero

As the bus drove through the night, Shadow was unable to sleep. He was looking out the window and saw the sign when they passed into Illinois. He closed his eyes and sighed~ a little bit closer to home, and to the funeral of his Laura.

A while later, the bus stopped for breakfast and to gas up in the town of Collinsville, IL.

Drinking his coffee at the counter with the other bus passengers, all of them scrupulously avoiding looking at each other as bus passengers do in America, Shadows attention was caught by a counter placard.

At the bottom it said that "Laura Buick:GMC:Trucks" was one of the sponsors. Laura had died in a Buick; he had to go. He threw down a dollar for his coffee and went outside. He could see the Giant Catsup bottle over the roofs, and he headed towards it.

When he got there he was awed by its Majesty!

He searched through the festival, seeking the Laura Motors booth, and when he got there, he was struck by the unusual crowd gathered there. They all glowed a bit, a few so much so that it was hard to look at them; one had wings on his feet, another looked like a giant bird~ a third had green dreadlocks that appeared to be moving! Several had amazing abs, and there was a tiny old comical looking man several were calling "Dad-Uncle". They all mostly had that inbred look about them, the look of a family that was a bit TOO close.

Listening to their conversation, he learned that several of them were apparently "baddies" (being so inbred perhaps this group could not come up with more creative terminology?) who might perpetrate more deaths if not stopped.

Shadow was determined to discover these "baddies"; perhaps they were behind Lauras death?

Hopefully we will have a fair amount to consider as this day unfolds. Right now I'm fairly lost and feeling a bit behind. But I'm sure that will change soon. And it's not like we have a lot to go on. Until then, I'm going to go back to swimming in one of my gold vaults.
