Well, S~V~S is at work so I'm bored, and there wasn't much going on yesterday so I've decided I want to play a game. For everyone who posts on-topic discussion today - not just a vote post - a post adding something to the lynch discussion or game discussion, I will enter a ticket for you in a drawing for a prize. You will get a ticket each time you make one of these posts so your probability of winning increases as you post. I will draw after the lynch post. One more thing - keep track of your number of posts by numbering your posts starting with 1 somewhere in the lower left hand of the post. If you mess up just correct it. I don't want this to be too complicated. Decisions about what counts as a post are made by the hosts but we will let you know if you post something that doesn't count (the gods and goddesses fun is fun, though off-topic).

Sorry I don't know what's going on in the thread, I'm yet to catch up which is why I voted random.

Also, just because someone is insanified does that mean she is exempt from a day one lynch? It's day one, it's a hard poll. I don't think anyone should be exempt.

So a player who never even got to speak in the game should go?

Does medusa being insanified make her 100% confirmed civvie?

I get what you're saying with medusa not being able to defend, but it's a random vote there's nothing to defend against its random, what could her defense be exactly? I disagree with your logic, any other day and for any other reason, I would accept, but random in day one insanified or not, I disagree.

It's not so much that she never got to defend herself, it's that she will have never talked at all.

I don't see how her being insanified has any baring on being killed on a day 1 lynch, people need to die so the game can progress, it might as well be anyone.

I would just add that if You (Hermes) was only able to post in video on Day 1 and was unable to defend or post properly at all, how would you like it if people started voting for you "randomly" without rhyme nor reason because it is just random? Thats why random just never works! Its always better to look for some sort of reasoning especially with all thats been going on OI am suprised by the amount of random votes tbh.

I'll take a gamble on Apollo. His switch from Fortuna to Hermes in a blink of an eye, and both for Medusa related reasons, makes me feel uneasy about him. I still have a hard time believing Hermes could have made such a huge mistake on day 1.

I started with Poseidon, knowing that it was a weak reason but having nothing else. The ensuing discussion allowed him to check in and explain himself, which I appreciated. I thought Medusa was indicating a certain preference, so I brought it up to see how Hermes would respond and whether she would confirm my suspicions. When she explicitly denied it, I abandoned that tack immediately because it was based on a false premise. To pursue it further would have been foolish.

By the end of the day, I think I made the right choice with Hermes.

Hermes leaned against a tall, tall tree in the middle of a field. It had a smooth, unbroken trunk except for one branch, sturdy and almost completely parallel to the ground about seven feet up. There were no leaves; but the branches were filled with crows. They were strangely silent.

High above in the cloudless, deep blue sky, several buzzards slowly wheeled about.

Hermes fiddled with his phone. He did not really notice the approaching crowd until it was too late.

Sitting in the quiet bar, next to an empty stool, Shadow suddenly felt a weight in his pocket, one that had not been there before. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a gold coin. It had a picture of a harp on it. A strange compulsion came over Shadow~ he spontaneously decided to bury the coin with Laura. it seemed the thing to do.

Vesta, as many songs as Elvis seems to have, it was difficult to find the right ones to get a meaning across. Since my topic for day one was Elvis videos, the best I could do was stay on my topic. I was saving jailhouse rock for my vote post, but other than that, I'm afraid my meanings were not very clear. It wasn't a requirement but it would have been a lot more fun if I had found clear song titles.

The good luck charm song was specifically a reference to the contest being lucky for me, because I was staying on my topic for the day.
