If I do eventually get lynched, then y'all should be mindful of anyone who didn't give a shit about the civilian win condition in the process of doing so. There's no civilian motive for that.

"You're lying, JJJ" is the predictable easy-button response, and if y'all want to go there then be my guest. I couldn't have seen that coming..

Anyone though who acknowledges the possibility that I am truthful and still wants to lynch me either has no idea how to do math or is mafia.

But the Civilian win condition requires Civilians to be alive, and Kano's goal is to make Civilians dead.

Maybe I'm Sonya or Jax and I really want you gone.

Achieving a win isn't always as black and white as reading the win condition. We have to play the game.

Scenario 1. We let JJJ live, and he manages to make cases and make votes that make Civs die. Civs lose, Kano wins.

Scenario 2. We lynch JJJ, and get rid of an anti-Civ force in the game. Less Civs die, cleaner lynches, Civs win.

You getting the more complex, raw, gameplay angle here?

The civilians must defeat Outworld. Not Death. Or IndyMarmot.

I think Jay is lying, or even if he's not he's proven himself to be a neutral with bad intentions. Jay rolling a role with a "make sure 10 civs including 2 specific civs" is absolutely going to be proactive towards achieving that because of his "play to win" attitude. but I think he was lying, and counting on the real Kano not saying anything because..... admitting that you're a visibly anti-town role is actually ludicrous??but marmot also seemingly did that. fake claiming to be a doesn't-need-to-be-lynched-role when people want to lynch you looks worse than claiming to be a doesn't-need-to-be-lynched-role to prevent the former thing.

Allow me to give you a little advice for future games which you can take or leave:

What I said before about catching mafia not being that easy was the truth. Recall Mountain Mafia. You helped to lynch me, correctly, and for that you deserve credit. Well done and well played. What you did very poorly though was to identify my teammates, and it was the result of you following the most blindingly obvious leads in the thread (Quin and Dom) and ignoring the subtleties of my play.

If you read my posts in this game and actually respect the subtlety, I think you can figure this out. I've given you the answer, all you need to do is find the clues.

I'm not "against the town" as much as you might want to make that assumption for the pleasure of lynching me. The civilians have a limited number of lynches left in this game to eliminate five mafia members. Indeed, I'd be surprised if you have more than 8 opportunities to get 5 baddies. And if you lynch me, you'll have 7 opportunities to get 5 baddies. Don't like what I have to say? Don't trust me? Then don't listen to me.

If you fail to heed my words and you're a civilian, then that is your fault and I can't be assed to help you. I have nobody in this game to disappoint other than myself, and that isn't happening when I am already so goddamned bored.

so in game of champians, i got an indy role and claimed indy as alligned with civvies [ie i'd push for the goals of civiilains] I feel like as soon as 10 civs are dead, he's no longer a threat for that reason, but should be looked at as if he claimed civviilan like all other players currently in the game.

my two cents anyways. I don't think it makes him more guilty but i don't think it clears him either. Null imo

that's why I can't fathom either players' goals here. logically speaking Kano would need to work with the mafia in order to eliminate the right number of civs to win, maybe jay didn't expect Kano to speak up and counter his statement.

Town has a tie breaker, and two potential vote blockers, so I don’t think it all that dire. Town has at least two. If mafia fails at night or takes out neutral it is up to three.
