Aww, Boatsy. Well I think the fact you are good friends is not a bad sign at all. I think good relationships start from good friendships. You just have to be careful not to ruin the friendship if things don't work out.

With that said, I don't think you have anything to worry about. High schoolers are crazy busy! I was exhausted all the time in high school from being so dang busy.

This is my new plan for you - when she is free again - invite her over to Make Your Own Pizza night! You can make them out of biscuits or something. And then binge-watch something.

Thanks for the advice, it sounds like a nice plan! My initial worry was that she simply lied to reject me and that she wasn't actually busy. Anyway, I talked to her online a little afterwards and everything seems to be normal.

This is a big NoNo k. You want to be straight forward, but this is too straight forward. Let things evolve naturally. Don't worry about awkward moments of silence. Been in kind of a slump lately. I no longer feel like not putting effort into anything; instead I feel like putting effort into quitting just about everything and anything. I'm not entirely clear-headed, but I'm not delusional. I'm just very very tired of this sad attempt at routine that I keep managing to collapse. Not killing myself or anything drastic, just feeling slightly more like shit than usual.

Hang in there, good lad! I was in one for 3 solid weeks this summer before I managed to climb out of the abyss. Pick a random date on the calendar (before the year ends), and know that the numbers are on your side that you will feel better before then.

And remember that you always have people to listen to ya, offline and online. It's not easy this time of year with the shorter days and cooler weather. The lack of sun really affects me for sure. Stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold.
