My favorite Elvis song is Paralyzed, from his second album simply titled "Elvis."

However, I prefer the slower version recorded on the Million Dollar Quartet album with Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins to the studio version.

We are not going east and, as much as I love Elvis, that makes me a sad Apollo. :(

Pluto wrote:Had absolutely no time to check in and vote at all today. Really sorry about that. RIP Eros. :( I'm sorry I doubted you at times. Probably would have voted Phoenix again today.

I would like to hear more from those who voted for me about why I'm so suspicious? Because either there isn't much of a case on me or I missed something somewhere. Quotes would be nice as well.
Did you read the discussion during this past lynch? If yes then you already know why people voted for you. If not start by reading Eros case about you. There were several made inre to you. Very compelling stuff imo.
I had to go back and re-read it. The only part I remembered was Eros saying he thought it was suspicious that I "doubted" him. This is the rest of what I could find.
Eros wrote:
Pluto wrote: I've doubted you because you've made me go back and forth on you several times this game. And when you say you've "demonstrated your goodness", what are you referring to?
Back and forth, you say? :ponder:

The only people you have helped lynch have been civilians. Naughty, naughty.
Yes, my voting record has been incredibly poor. I don't see how a terrible voting record alone is enough to make me a baddie. I've been an (at times) very confused civvie in this game. But I feel more certain now. And speaking of which...
Eros wrote:I also want to point out that on Day 6, Pluto voted for Phoenix sixth, after Pandora had three votes, and then it got tied up. Pandora's teammate hoping for a save? Entirely possible.
Not a save. I was unsure about Pandora (still am) and far more sure about Phoenix (still am). Pandora was at least willing to defend against her accusations. Phoenix has completely brushed them off with statements like "I am a civvie." Deflecting accusations instead of addressing them is the mark of a baddie to me.
lol. What was there to even address? Apollo kept saying I fit the bill to be Hinzleman because of the timing of my missed votes. How do I address that in any way other than saying it's just wrong?

The only other thing I remember being said about me is that I jumped on a suspicion. I think I addressed that. It was a case of me not doing a great job of keeping up with everything that was being said. I happened to agree with something someone said and I expressed as much. Again, how can I address this in a more satisfying way? Is there some big ball of semantics I could throw out there that would satisfy you?

I think if people really look at this, they can see it for what it really is. It's a couple of people jumping onto someone with faulty logic because it's easy. And I've helped make it easy, I suppose, because I haven't been in here as frequently saying a bunch of junk to appease you.

Even me being off the poll is being addressed with overtones of malice. "Oh, how convenient."

You accuse me of deflecting suspicions instead of addressing them. Well, sir, I accuse you of doing the easy thing as well. Jumping on a weak suspicion of someone because it's the easiest thing to do.

Yeah, you missing the vote yesterday and Hinzelmann failing to kill last night does not look suspicious at all. Not to mention your inexplicable survival (along with Pluto) of yesterday's lynch. I was planning to vote for you today, so you are lucky you are not on the poll.

Sarcasm proves things, doesn't it? :haha:

Apollo, do you really think that I am Hinzleman? If you do, why the half ass approach? Why aren't you leading a lynch on me? I know you can't today, but your suspicion of me has been so passive aggressive it's as if you are just saying it over and over because you feel like you have to.

Given Eros' earlier insight, I think it would be foolhardy to ignore his last warnings before perishing. It will be between Pluto and Mars. I will do a reread of both tomorrow and make my decision.

I would be willing to look at either Mars or Zeus today as well. Mars has been discussed plenty as it is, so I don't have much to add to him. I feel like Zeus was a bit too eager to latch onto the case against me. And I believe he even did so before Eros did. I questioned him about it but the most I remember him saying is that he'd want to get no more than himself and two other people to vote for me, which I thought was somewhat odd. But out of everyone who has voted or expressed interest in voting for me, I feel like he gave the weakest reason for going after me.

The major point against Mars is his apparent defense of Hercules, who flipped bad. Before that, I just had a gut feeling on him.

Not apparent. Blatant.
Mars wrote:I just realized my time setting is an hour off from the real time, so I missed it. I'm sorry, hostesses!

I hadn't been feeling the Fortuna suspicion, I think I would have ended up going with Athena. I'm also not suspicious of Hercules, but really he hasn't given me much to read either way.
Mars wrote:I don't see that there's anything damning about Athena, and actually I thought her defence sounded fairly genuine. But I'm geting progressively more leery of Zeus. His defence of Athena could be genuine, because they're teammates, or because he's trying to establish civvie cred if she gets lynched. I think if Athena is bad, it's as part of a team with Zeus anyway, so I'd rather go for the one who strikes me as more baddie to begin with. *votes Zeus*

P.S. I don't see Herc's behavior as terribly suspicious, and I actually think it's a bit odd that people keep bringing him up each day.

OK. Mars, with thanks to Apollo, I understand. Zeus, I can get too, considering I suspected him before I died. That suspicion has since waned.

How do you explain your survival? Phoenix's? I get an uneasy feeling here. I also don't get the feeling you are actually addressing concerns, but rather, you are simply saying that the case against you is too weak to even consider-- not good points in my book.

Aw my boy! What am I going to do with you? You have a total of 11 posts, hardly any of those are on topic, none of your votes are justified, you haven't made a single case on anyone which makes me think you have people keeping you posted, your voting record is weird in the sense that you only have 2 lynch votes , so of course you can't be held accountable for that, the rest, when you decide to show up and vote are night votes. What do these night votes do for you? Anyway, thanks to you, I have finally seen the light. :)

I feel like my suspicion list goes like:

Mars
Pluto
Helios
Apollo

Apollo why didn`t you respond to Phoenixs last post? Asking about your "case" and that you really haven`t tried to lynch him and when you had the chance to finally vote him after talking about him for DAYS you did not vote for him. :ponder: tbh its that post of his coupled with Ceres thoughts that really make me doubt he is in fact Hinzelman.

I've explained more than once that I didn't vote for him two days ago because by that time I thought Hinzelmann was probably dead. When Hinzelmann proved to be alive, I immediately voted for Phoenix (for which you criticized me. Make up your mind.)

Then he miraculously survived the lynch which should have claimed either his or Pluto's life, and I cannot vote for him today. Why didn't I "lead" a lynch against him? I was unaware that I held a leadership position in this body. I voted for him yesterday and convinced many others to do the same. I'm not sure what else I could have done. I will be voting for him again tomorrow, assuming I survive that long. I still think his voting record tallies with Hinzelmann's kills better than that of any other player.

I was thinking about when Pandora and Phoenix were up for lynch. You seem upset that I keep questioning you for that I am sorry. But a doubt in my mind needs to be cleared up. Besides I think Pandora was a civ. So there is that for me to consider as well.

Yes, Day 6.

I don't know what else you expect me to say, when I have explained my position on that vote many times.

You seem upset and apparently I am alone in my thinking. No further explanation is required I am just saying what I feel - sorry again if I have upset you.

You know you could never upset me. :)
For good measure, here are some more quotes from Day 6. I cannot explain my position any more clearly than what I said here.
Apollo wrote: I'm getting a really bad vibe from Pandora, but she hasn't been around much today, so let's see if we can't coax her out with a vote. After all, I was cheated out of voting for her yesterday when I wanted to.

Votes Pandora
Apollo wrote: Pandora, honestly your comment about "there's no reason to suspect me yet" was a super big red flag for me. I believe it was a slip, and that's what I'm basing my vote on.

Aphrodite and Pluto, I wanted to vote for her yesterday, but I couldn't because she had just been reborn, as Eros kindly pointed out to me as I announced my intentions.

Medusa wrote:Where's Phoenix? What do we know about Phoenix?
I still think he might be Hinzelmann, but as the days go by with still no kills from him, I'm starting to wonder if he is dead after all.

Scallop shells really start to stink in the sunshine.

Know what I mean?

For a breath of fresh air, I think I'll examine those who have had next to no scrutiny, though I'm still quite likely to vote Mars.

No Phoenix? You don't think that it's possible that he is on a baddie team?

Just wondering.

Good question.

Interesting how nobody is talking about her and she sinks into the shadows....

Chronos, when you get to your dessert, keep this in mind
Mom says to always spit those watermelon seeds because you really don't want a giant watermelon growing inside you.
I hope I am not too rude, but I would like to bring to your attention the case of another couple of very naughty boys. First there's Mars. He defends that boy with no manners, Hercules, I don't know why, maybe because they are playground buddies and they are so similar, not to mention the fact that he constantly goes to war without putting on his armor. I'm shocked. Then there's Pluto. He's tied with Phoenix, is the only one who suspects Eros, and what is the lynch result? Exactly! Having Phoenix lynched would have been too obvious because of his voting record. And let's not forget his cry of joy that he was not on the poll. So fake! And wishing better luck to that other bully. Such a bad boy. Both of you bad boys!

With a whopping twelve posts and two Day votes, Helios would make a really lousy teammate. Just my opinion. Won't be voting him.

But I AM suspicious of both Phoenix AND Mars. I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here. I also have become very wary of Pluto.

Athena voted third for Hercules. That does her credit.

I do wonder about this ancient exchange:
Athena wrote:
Ceres wrote:In an attempt to give Athena a chance to defend herself, here are my thoughts:

1. The Artemis episode was extremely confusing. I went back and forth on who was the non-civ in that equation because to me this was too elaborate to be a civ on civ dispute, and at one point I really thought there were two baddies involved. Artemis made a 'slip', which could have been completely plausible at the time, but that is not what made me suspect her, it was her very calm and calculated reply to Persephone's post. Athena on the other hand, has the "I know I'm a civ", "I'm just a civ' rhetoric which to me always sounds like baddies trying to convince themselves that they are civs.
2. Survived a night kill.
3. She has explained why she used the term 'curse' when people were talking about insanification in Arte's case, but I still get the feeling that she knew something the rest of us didn't.

This is the best I have so far, although I have to admit that Fortuna is in a similar situation:
1. 'I know I'm a civ which means that my defense attorney is also a civ.'
2. Managed to survive on day 3.
1. It was either civ on civ, or she's a seemer type role. And I can't help but know my own role. I'm sorry if stating that I'm civ is suspicious. I'm not sure I see how it is, but whatever.

2. Yes, I did. And I am thankful for having been protected. How is that suspicious?

3. I really don't understand this one, still. In my mafia experience, the term curse is generally used as a posting restriction that a player has. How is that not what was happening? What term would you use for "a posting restriction that is given by another player through their role or by the hosts"? Curse has always been what I've seen used, and so I use that term.

Your reasons don't add up to me being bad. I respect that they make you suspect me, although I don't really see how any of them are suspicious. But, like some others didn't see what I did in Artemis' posts, we all play the game differently. Sometimes, things that are not how we play look suspicious because it's not what we ourselves would do.

linkitis: Again, how is surviving a night kill attempt suspicious? And how does suspecting another player and making a case mean someone is bad?

After much consideration, I've decided to cast my vote for Pluto today.
Here are my reasons:
1. Eros wanted Pluto lynched before he died, and Eros has a good track record of knowing people's alignments.
2. In the tied lynch between Pluto and Phoenix, there were shenanigans to save one or both of them, resulting in a civ death (a civ who was suspicious of Pluto) I would vote for Phoenix if he were on the poll, but he is not.
3. The timing of his Phoenix vote does look like it was meant to save Pandora.
4. This quote feels entirely too eager to deal out death for a supposedly peace-loving civ.
Pluto wrote: Hmmmmm....so much for that one then. :sigh:

Back to figuring out someone else to vote for today.
*Vote Pluto*

It reads to me as "THIS is not why I'm suspicious", no? Is that what you're implying?
