I think right now, I'm leaning toward either Aphrodite, Phoenix, or Mars for today's vote. Phoenix because of him jumping on Apollo's theory/case and I've had bad vibes from him most of the game. Mars because he seems to have very shoddy reasons for any of his votes.
I think you need to look closer at my post about Apollo. That is not the reasons I found him suspicious tbqh.
Mars wrote:
Aphrodite wrote:Mars You voted Poseidon d1 not lynched.
You voted Artemis d 2 not lynched.
You voted Artemis d3 lynched a civ.
Day 4 you failed to vote.
You vote Zeus not lynched.

Day one flimsy reason for voting Poseidon. The next day you drop Poseidon and latch onto the Artemis wagon. You vote for him 2 days in a row but the kicker is that even though several reasons were listed you vote Artemis day 4 because you felt his curse was faked because why would the hosts not let you say anything on topic or defend yourself. Funny you didn`t mention your fake curse of insanification. Why would the hosts allow it? You couldn`t post anything readable on topic nor could you have defended yourself.
So It is ok in your mafia playbook to vote for someone cursed even though they cannot defend nor be understood and read right?

Day 4 you missed the vote but said you were not suspicious of Hercules but would have voted Athena thats so funny because......

Day 5 you do not vote Athena because you see nothing damning about her even though you were ready to vote for her day 4 lol so contradictory haha what is even better is that you vote Zeus the person who is defending her why? Funny reason tbh... you claim he was trying for civ cred. I do not see how it is possible for the baddies to know who is exactly civ becasue there are two baddie teams. No way to know for 100%. Your whole vote post read as insincere and justtrying to find any reason not to vote for Hercules who you again defended by saying you thought it odd people were discussing him each day.

So what say you about you voting past and reasons?

Tbh you are my top suspect for todays lynch.
You're twisting my words about Artemis. I clearly believe that there's actual insanification in this game, considering I myself was insanified (that would be an incredibly stupid thing for me to claim otherwise, and I like to think I'm a slightly better player than that). My main issue with Artemis, which I expressed in the thread, was that a. several people seemed to be insanified at the same time, and it seems unlikely that there would be that many insanifiers in one game, and b. Artemis' insanification didn't read like any I've actually encountered before, which led me to believe it was made up.

This game has loads of secrets, so I don't see how it's so unlikely a baddie team could have gotten a role check or something, and that's what I was suspecting with Zeus. I was never terribly suspicious of Athena, but I would have voted her over Hercules in Day 4 because I was actually leaning civ on him. Obviously I was way off, but I simply didn't get bad vibes from him.

I readily admit that several of my reasons have been flimsy, because honestly I've not been as attentive in this game as I should be. It doesn't make me a baddie, just a bad civvie. But I have been trying to go with whatever makes the most sense to me.
I am not purposely twisting your words its just how you read to me.

Another question what did you find that made you so sure of Hercules that you defended him when his name was brought up? (two times that I noticed)
Aphrodite wrote:PS Mars I do find it unlikely the baddies got a
rolecheck. Maybe a dead rolecheck but not a regular
rolecheck as I believe that would skew the balance
of the game.
Here is my vote analysis along with my thoughts on Mars with his responses included. I am re-posting this because I am probably going to vote Mars today.

Apollo- How was Phoenix saving Pandora with his vote? She was Low Key an indy.

But I now believe she was a civ.

That leads me to examine Ceres. Voted Apollo Day 1. Artemis Day 2. Fortuna Day 3. Athena Day 4. Hercules Day 5 (14th vote of 16). Pandora Day 6. Helios Day 7.

If bad, Ceres either threw a teammate to gain credibility (unlikely at that point) or is on the other team. The only thing that strikes me odd is the Day 3 discussion. Anyway, Artemis and Fortuna were both civilians, which makes Day 3 a tough Day to read.

I was trying to say that Pluto was saving Pandora with his vote for Phoenix. I am not convinced that every role has been truthfully revealed upon being lynched, but I disagree on your last point.

I think it would be foolish to think that Hinzleman has to be someone that's missed votes. I've been nothing but cover for Hinzleman, so I think some if not all of his quiet nights have been self protects and/or strategic decisions.

I am mystified that the shrouded one has gone eight entire Days evading any form of meaningful scrutiny. Impressive.

About half of Vesta's 76 posts are fluff (entertaining fluff, but fluff still).

Day 1: Hermes
Day 2: Artemis
Day 3: Artemis
Day 4: Missed
Day 5: Phoenix
Day 6: Phoenix
Day 7: Missed

A terrible week, wouldn't you say?

Poor perception as well, at times:
Vesta wrote: Very useful. 7 Wisconsin voters, one now dead, leaving 6 Wisconsin voters. Therefore it is no longer 1 in 7 odds. For each of us Wissies we know our own roles, so 1 in 5 odds. Of those on the list, Electra is not eligible for a vote today, leaving 4 options for today.
My options would be:

Persephone
Apollo
Athena
Prometheus

Irregardless of the Wisconsin vote, Prometheus stood out to me for his Day 1 defense of it doesn't matter who dies. However, since Hermes flipped civ that gives me pause. Persephone made a good point about Athena vs. Artemis switching focus away from Wisconsin voters. Of the 4 listed, I personally have the most suspicions of Athena and Prom-boy. My vote will be going to one of these two depending on what happens in thread.

This could all be a huge waste of time though if Hinzelman really is Electra. :|
With no Day 1 Electra vote, how could Hinzlemann have made an attempt on Night 1?

Oh wait- Vesta figured out this principle the same day:
Vesta wrote: Athena could not be Hinzelman if she didn't vote, but have any of his kills gone through?
Indeed, much of Vesta's focus seems to be on tracking down Hinzlemann. Even after Hercules was lynched, there still seems to be a focus on the serial killer. And Vesta still spoke as though I could be it.
Vesta wrote:For possible last new gods I can't decide if a Herc teammate would vote to save or throw him to the wolves. If they had already lost a teammate than it might be worth it to try and save him, which makes me look at Phoenix's vote particularly because he tied in with Zeus. However if they gave up on him then Ceres or Zeus as the last Herc voters might be possible. Chronos and Mars are other options if they wanted to stop the tide against Herc, but I think that is less likely. Since Zeus was an early suspecter of Herc, it's more likely that Phoenix is the possible candidate for the last new god.

At quick count looks like Electra, Helios, and Poseidon missed the last vote.
(Herc too, but we know who he turned out to be :p)
Haven't heard anything from Electra really, have we? She was also a Wisconsin voter if I remember, but that option may have not done anything for Hinzie if WJ is right. If not, then highly possible as an inactive spook too. As of right now I am voting Electra as place holder since we can change votes.

I want to look at low posters next as well.

Votes Electra
Another thing that bothers me in retrospect:

:overreact:
Now knowing who Eros was, he clearly had people he trusted.

Going to post this now to give people time to reflect on what it could mean.

This is quite the way to come out strong with a big no u. Applause dearie. Because I was one to suspect you the most, you've made a great effort at a "case" on me. But there's not even that much substance here for me to address honestly. I am fluffy? Yay! I like to have fun when I play mafia, because it is in fact a game (despite what some may think ;) )

You are correct about my error on you as Hinzie as I stated here:
Vesta wrote:Alright, I am throwing out my idea that Electra is another Hinzie candidate. Rereading her 13 posts, she didnt vote Day 1, so no way she could have killed that night. Looks like Phoenix is once again the best candidate, so thats most likely where I will vote today. I thought him more likely a spook, but worth considering Electra on that front.

Helios...I'll be watchin' you too I think.

Linki - what is the case on Pluto? I feel like I missed something.
How well did you reread me? Feels like you did a nice skim job of my fluff and then pulled out a few things to make some sort of case on me.

If you like it, I'll get you the recipe for this as well. I can see why one would suspect the other, but I'm not sure how conclusive these cases are. Voting for Mars now. Hopefully some others are willing to come vote him and save me.

I doubt I will live through this lynch and I'm on my phone so I'll make this quick. Look at the people who latched onto my case initially for weak or no reasons. I am sure you will find some baddies in there. Sucks that we lost a powerful civvie in me probably but good luck to the rest of the civs! It was a very fun game!

Pluto stood there like a deer in the headlights~ the crowd advanced on him, taunting him about not REALLY being a planet, and asking why Goofy got to walk on two legs, not four, and wear clothes, and similar mean cracks. He hung his head and got ready to accept the inevitable.

Pluto is dead, he was.....

WAIT!! Stop the presses!!

....but then the crowd suddenly turned and grabbed Vesta! they strung her up. Under her birka, she had on a black suit. She was Mr Town.

Great insight... :)

Iunno. Ceres appears to want me gone a fair bit with the run-of-the-mill "u r teh quiet lel" suspicion. I don't trust anyone who goes solely off that when they've been so active and have so much more at this stage. It's a very easy and inoffensive thing to do. Speaking of Ceres, another question for her.
Ceres wrote:Some observations:

1. I think Medusa was civ. Chronos - not so sure, but more on the civ side.
2. I agree with Eros that Mars can't be ignored, and besides his defense of Herc, the two have had very similar playing styles.
3. I still don't think Phoenix is the serial killer. How crazy must you be to kill when all eyes are on you?
4. There's still that gut feeling about Apollo.
5. Pluto - I have no idea, the only thing that caught my attention so far was his post about him not being on the poll.
6. Low posters.:
a. Ares - sometimes pops in towards the end of the polls, has nothing to comment on, his last post was 4 days ago.
b. Electra and Helios - I see them both as Hinzelmann candidates. Again both show up from time to time, throw in a vote and before you know it we've got another kill. Electra has been a bit more active recently. Helios has been a bit defiant and he's also the lowest poster in the game, so I'm considering a vote for him today.

Linki - Ditto Eros, Vesta and Zeus
Why does Electra being a bit more active recently convince you so much against me? Also, why did you exclude Ares from the group?

Helios, you've been quiet and plain not voted in most of the lynches. That's weird. You brushing the cases against you like they are meaningless is a little concerning.

I told one person I don't like that style of case-building. I am sorry my opinion is not exactly the same as yours on all matters.

It can still be a legitimate case, but even more so in games where a player's past can be compared to their current patterns of behavior.

And I'm sorry I missed the vote, although it probably worked out better this way, as I would have gone Pluto over Vesta, she was striking me as civ. I seem to have a bad track record at reading people this game :p

So, therefore, all of their concerns about you should be null and void?

QUESTION, who missed the vote?

OK. Did some data collection:

Athena
Ceres
Helios
Mars
Phoenix
Zeus

Seriously, guys? A lot of you were actually kind of active in a quite quiet day.

I'm so sorry! I was crazy busy todqy and then out tonight and no where near a computer. A thousand apologies to the hosts and everyone else. I will improve.

As for the result--good, but unexpected to see an apparent lynch switch.

Apollo why didn`t you respond to Phoenixs last post? Asking about your "case" and that you really haven`t tried to lynch him and when you had the chance to finally vote him after talking about him for DAYS you did not vote for him. :ponder: tbh its that post of his coupled with Ceres thoughts that really make me doubt he is in fact Hinzelman.
No Phoenix? You don't think that it's possible that he is on a baddie team?

Just wondering.
Aphrodite wrote:Wonder what happened to Athena??
Good question.

Interesting how nobody is talking about her and she sinks into the shadows....
Electra wrote:Scallop shells really start to stink in the sunshine.

Know what I mean?

For a breath of fresh air, I think I'll examine those who have had next to no scrutiny, though I'm still quite likely to vote Mars.
Care to explain further?
I'm sorry. I've been really busy this week. It has to do with my schedule, not with anything game-related. Things should calm down a little bit starting tomorrow.
