Anyone have a tally now? I’m at work so I can’t really do one. Consider my vote for quin at the moment. I think my biggest question to everyone else is: would a town quin really not send in his night action? Before that I was equally okay with lynching him or Wilgy, but that makes me more confident in quin. Since it’s happened two nights in a row now without explanation,I’m clearly being targeted by a scum misdirector, and quin can misdirect but has a way too convenient excuse for why it wasn’t him.

what happens if a misdirector targets someone who didn't choose to target anyone, nothing right? or would their target be chosen randomly?

A regular misdirect on a player targeting nobody would result in that player still targeting nobody. A "controlled misdirect" or "command" (same thing) would allow the commander to choose their target's target, even if the original target was nobody. Lightning rods would still affect a player who targets nobody.

it seems unlikely that everyone who has a block or misdirect power last night is telling the truth about their targets.

the only way it's even possible that everyone is telling the truth is if Mac blocked me last night and Long Con misdirected gwilikers, which seems unlikely since they're both town, and either of those target choices would be anti-town except in the situation where the targeter suspected the potentially targeted which neither did.

Suspicion of Colin was unwarranted. Cbob was basing it on one answer of Colin that could be debated but was not scummy.

I am less suspicious of Colin now though. I don't believe his argument, but I believe he believes it. Starting to feel like a Town/Town argument.

ISO'd nutella, not inclined to vote there. Couple of the suspicions seem weird, the biggest one is JJJ/Epi not interacting/reading her while they did others but I currently read them both as town so that doesn't make me suspect nutella.

nutella is one of my suspects, don't understand the reasoning to see her as town here. Why would someone be town if others skip over her?

This is just strange. Asking for who he should vote. Didn't buy the defense afterward.

Also me asking who I should vote for was a not of a sarcastic response because you apparently didn't like any of my votes because they were for lower post people even though I'd expressed concrete suspicions of everybody except lapluie. And if you noticed I didn't say "who should I vote for" but "who would be an acceptable vote", which is a different question.

The latter part of the defense is a semantic discussion. I still see someone asking which wagon he should jump on.

Feels like a safe choice after thinking it over. Quin hasn't really shown a lot of himself.

My conclusion: cbob is asking some sharp questions here and there. Also trying to cooperate in scumhunting. The criticism on his posts above is mostly based on small issues. The only thing that stands out to me is asking who he should vote for, seems like lazily jumping on board of a running train. But it doesn't feel like enough to really make a case.

TL;DR: In color terms I put cbob on the border between light green and dark orange for now.

What is the point on judging Bob's alignment based on the accuracy of his reads?

He seemed to be genuine in his scumhunting, so he wasn't trying to throw innocent civs under the bus if that is the case.

Thing is, I don't fully agree with lynching players out of lack of contribution, but there are a few specific issues now. One, thread activity is shrinking, and if it shrinks more, we may reach the point where mafia controls it. Two, the population is silent players is reaching an all time high, and we need to start trimming them at some point.

lol, I'd say you're the bandwagon hopper in this situation. I'm getting concerned about wilgy being the "easy option" -- if he isn't mafia then the mafia would be happy to join this wagon, and I have equal if not more suspicion of Quin so I want to make sure that option is on the table. but it is true that whichever one we choose we should have a decent margin, I'm just worried that mafia could contribute to that margin on the wrong wagon.

Had I been correct, I might have been more motivated, but I'm not, and it doesn't help that I now basically have three jobs.

Actually one point in Wilgy's favor is that if he doesn't post today he might be replaced, and with Sloonei which is great.

Quin is active in theory so we are stuck with him until the end.

I can understand the merit in not wanting to redirect civs but I completely disagree on not getting a promotion because of a long shot risk of getting misdirected. Never mind the fact your ability itself is a gamble. It's not reliable either way.

That sword master role says it gets constant crits. Ffs how does a civ pass on that.

Question is whether Quin is lying because he already has a promotion or if he is just making a move I think is submoptimal is the problem.
